Chapter 24 - CHAPTER 24

"How is that possible?", That was the only thing Elias managed to say. As confusion was clear on his face.

Gravon nodded before saying, "it may be hard to understand, but we can directly send mana to your spark, which will be a lot faster that you absorbing it from the core."

"It's not a common method. with the many risks associated with it and the fact that our mana is more attuned with our affinities makes it unsuitable for your cultivation, but we can assure you that we can make it safe for you- but it's left for you to decide if you want to carry on."

Finally grasping what they meant and the risk that came with it, Elias fell into thought but aside from the risk associated with agreeing to this, it wouldn't truly be him who achieved it and won't that mean he failed his task?. But on the other hand he would achieve Ember at a much faster rate and it's not like she specifically said he couldn't take help.

Elias was really conflicted on what to do but he ultimately made a decision. "I'm sorry guys and I really appreciate the offer and it's very tempting. But I really feel like I should at least be able to do this much if I'm to grow", Elias said as he gave a small bow not knowing how they would take his rejection, but he suddenly felt Darin's cold metal hand on his shoulder as he looked up, seeing a small smile on his stern face.

"Lift your head, Elias. What you just said is absolutely right and the right mentality to have on the path of cultivation, it's a perilous path and you must have a strong will to walk it . I have no doubt you can break through without our aid but don't hesitate to ask for help we are comrades, so rest assured we got your back ."

"Honestly, I was taken back but Darin is right, you've got this." Gravon followed up as he stretched his hand for a fist bump. Seeing they both respected and approved his decision Elias smiled as he responded to Gravon fist bump as they continued chatting idly until it was

evening.

As it was already getting late, Elias thought it wise as he decided to leave, but he didn't know how to find Aedric, so he asked them for directions but they instead told him to head to the ground floor and ask the receptionists and they will contact Aedric for him. Elias then said his goodbyes as he left the arena for the elevator.

Reaching the ground floor, Elias noticed that despite it getting late the ground floor was still very packed and bustling with people of many races coming and going but Elias just located the receptionist desk as he moved towards it but as he got closer he saw a familiar face, Tyris was already here .

"Master Elias, it's a surprise to see you here are you also done with training, Tyris asked as he walked towards Elias who smiled weirdly at him before saying, "Please don't call me 'master', I am not a part of the Talon family neither am I your superior, we even look around the same age so just Elias will do and yes I finished and came here to tell the receptionist to help me contact Commander Aedric ", Tyris looked at Elias with a weird expression that said "you're a heritage holder which makes you superior ", but was suprised at how well.....chill Elias was.

"Don't worry about that-I already contacted him and he will be here shortly, so let's go sit while we wait." Elias nodded as he and Tyris sat at a waiting area nearby.

Time passed by with nothing being said between the two, and Elias wanted to talk but had nothing to talk about so he settled for the only option he could think of "How was your first day?", as if already waiting for the question, Tyris smiled brightly like a kid with excitement clear on his face.

"It was great, the Skywing division is so cool and they have so many space and air crafts that they almost seemed uncountable and the best part about each craft from what I learned is that each is equipped with a special equipment called the element gathering core which can Identify the pilot affinity and let's you switch from the regular attack system and instead you can sync your element to the system while still inside to attack or defend."

"I don't even know how that's possible but it mustn't have been easy to create something like that, sadly we won't get to use any of the space or aircraft until at least a month of learning", Tyris said with a downcat expression. Elias was suprised at how Tyris spoke so enthusiastic about the Skywing, which lead him to ask, "seems you really have an interest in the Skywing division", Tyris nodded as he said "I've always wanted to join Skywing since I was a kid and become a pilot, to me they are simply the best division and that's why I worked for the Talon family to save up to cultivate and register, but fate works in mysterious ways and today I'm one step closer to achieving my childhood dream."

"In a way I owe it all to you, so....thank you", but Elias just shook his head before responding "no need for that Tyris, I did nothing rather it was all Commander Aedric,he's the one we both should be saying thank you to." Before Tyris could say anything else, Aedric like a ghost seemed to appeared infont of them,"sorry for keeping you boys waiting, but I'm done so let's get going", Aedric said as they both stood, but it was clear Elias and Tyris were a bit hesitant as their conversation just seemed to get started, but Elias gave Tyris a sign implying that they could finish their talk back home which Tyris responded to with a thumbs up as they got prepared to leave.

But like lightning, something struck Elias as he stopped walking drawing the attention of Aedric and Tyris who gave him a questioning look,"My sisters, I can't believe it slipped my mind but there ...", before Elias could finish Aedric patted his shoulder before saying, "don't worry about it, I already sent someone to take them straight home when the academy was about to close, they are home now so shall we?" Elias then exhaled calming down as the trio finally exited the building, the first day was officially over.

"So how was your first day?".
