Charles Kosonen was halfway out of the revolving doors of the Kosonen Building when his phone vibrated sharply in his hand.
The evening wind swept cold across the marble entrance, rustling the hem of his coat as he glanced down at the screen.
Dalton:"Urgent update. Ms. Sepala was spotted inside KE headquarters. She has now returned to Building S."
For one full second, Charles forgot how to breathe.
The silver in his eyes froze.
Then everything around him snapped violently back into motion.
"Cancel everything," he barked before the chauffeur had even opened the limousine door fully. "Every meeting. Every dinner. Every call that isn't urgent."
"Yes, sir."
The door slammed shut behind him, and the vehicle launched forward into the city traffic.
Inside the dim cabin, Charles was already dialing numbers one after another, voice low, sharp, and fraying harder with every second.
"There's an urgent meeting regarding the Simo Isota case tomorrow. Change your vote."
