Chapter 635 - Chapter 635: The Slaughter

Chapter 635: The Slaughter

The Half-Dragon Elite

Among the numerous tribes gathered by the Underworld Dragon, the most powerful were the Half-Dragons. These warriors stood nearly three meters tall, were powerfully built, and covered in thick scales, possessing both immense strength and defense.

Legend claimed that the Half-Dragons were the offspring of demons and true dragons. In addition to their exaggerated physical attributes, they also had a natural talent for fire magic.

The Half-Dragon Guard was the strongest unit in Dragonhold. These extraordinarily formidable warriors wore heavy armor forged from magic metal, making them an indestructible tank army on the battlefield. No opponent could withstand them.

Yet, the Half-Dragons, the strongest unit, were currently standing at the back. Their Captain, Domist, couldn't tolerate it and stepped forward to confront the City Lord.

"We should be the vanguard, not those lizards!"

"Wait a moment."

"Why wait! His Majesty's order is to capture these three invaders. If we engage, we can capture them right now!"

Akorn's gaze chilled. He spoke without emotion.

"You have an issue with my battle plan?"

"Yes! We don't need these wastes. We are enough."

Domist looked up, his expression cold and arrogant.

The Half-Dragon Guard was Avogadro's direct line of troops. They took orders only from the Underworld Dragon and held everyone else in contempt. Even Akorn, who was also a Half-Dragon, didn't qualify for their respect.

Akorn was inwardly annoyed but helpless. He simply shrugged.

"Since you are dissatisfied with my plan, then go. Let me see just how powerful you truly are."

"You will see."

Domist sneered, gave the command to attack, and the Half-Dragon Legion roared heavenward, flapping their wings as they soared into the sky.

Akorn watched them with a dark gaze, secretly hoping they would all be wiped out. But when he thought about the escalating battle, he felt uneasy again.

"How much longer?"

One of the Three-Eyed Imps frowned. "It's not that easy. These three have frighteningly strong life forces. To curse all three at once, we must prepare properly."

"How long, at least?"

The Imp thought for a moment, then slowly held up two fingers.

Akorn let out a soft breath. He had brought over five thousand warriors and dozens of sorcerers. That should be enough to stall them.

No Mercy

The battle was raging. The Dragonhold forces, aided by the portals, converged on Clark and the others from all directions. The Red Rock Men, Dark Spiders, and Demon Lizard Tribe displayed their full range of abilities with one simple goal: to pin the trio down.

Sorcerers had also laid magic arrays around them, sending constant psychic attacks that were as annoying as buzzing flies.

Diana was done holding back. She put away her sword and shield, threw her arms open, and forcefully clashed her Bracelets of Submission together.

Boom!

The collision of the silver bracelets unleashed a concussive blast that exploded in the air. The monsters surrounding them spat blood, falling from the sky like tossed dumplings.

Diana activated the teleportation ability of her Valkyrie Armor. A faint red light flashed on the armor's surface, and her figure instantly vanished.

Pfft!

A Demon Lizard's head flew off. The red light pierced its body, blinking repeatedly through the Red Rock Men's formation. Each time she appeared, a head was severed. Death was spreading, and a rain of blood began to fall from the sky.

In just a few seconds, over two hundred warriors had fallen to the Sword of Hephaestus. This rate of killing was terrifying.

"Stop holding back!"

Diana's eyes were cold and murderous. "This is the Underworld, not Earth. They want to eat us. There's only one relationship between the predator and the prey. The only difference is who ends up as excrement!"

Clark and J'onn were silent. They were reluctant to cause such mass slaughter, but the current situation was desperate.

Half-Dragon Captain Domist flew right up to Clark, raising his spear and bellowing something.

"What is he saying?"

J'onn used his psychic ability to communicate with the Captain. After a moment, he shook his head with a grim expression.

"He demands that we surrender. If we agree, he'll allow us to live as slaves. If we refuse, he'll hack off our limbs and throw us into a cesspit to slowly rot."

Clark remained silent. He clenched his right fist and surged forward.

Domist yelled excitedly, thrusting his spear. A loud whipping sound tore through the air—the sonic boom created by the spear piercing the atmosphere. This single blow was powerful enough to shatter mountains.

Clark didn't dodge. He slammed his fist straight onto the spear tip.

Bang!

A shockwave erupted in mid-air.

Crack!

The spear tip shattered. The punch's momentum didn't slow, slamming heavily into the armor.

Different colors of light rippled across the armor's surface. With a shout of shock, the light shattered, and the armor was pierced by the punch. Domist, the strongest warrior of the Half-Dragons, spat blood, his eyes filled with despair, and he plummeted to the ground like a meteorite.

Time seemed to freeze.

Everyone stared wide-eyed at the scene.

What just happened?

Domist was knocked out by the guy in the strange clothing.

One punch!

It shattered his weapon and pierced his armor. What level of power was this?

Akorn was stunned, unable to believe it.

Domist's combat strength ranked in the top ten of Dragonhold. Even Akorn wasn't sure he could win against him, yet this warrior was defeated in a single blow.

The Half-Dragon warriors roared with fury and attacked Clark like maniacs. Clark's face was grim. He hadn't wanted trouble, but his opponents were relentless, offering no quarter.

Perhaps Diana was right.

The Underworld wasn't Earth. Here, the strong ruled and ate the weak. To survive, they had to demonstrate power.

With his resolve hardened, Clark flew up and took position directly overhead. He took a deep breath, his chest swelling like a balloon.

He opened his mouth and unleashed a frost storm that swept over the Half-Dragon Legion like a blizzard.

The cold was bone-chilling. Upon contact, the armor immediately frosted over. The Half-Dragons shivered uncontrollably, their bodies stiffening, causing them to fall from the sky.

The attack's range was massive, affecting the nearby Demon Lizards and Red Rock Men. They all trembled, unable to grip their weapons.

Diana and J'onn seized the opportunity to attack. J'onn unleashed red energy beams from her eyes, sweeping them across the battlefield. Anyone struck was either sliced in half or thrown back screaming. Diana activated his long-range attack mode, transforming his shield into an energy cannon that continuously blasted their opponents.

The speed of their slaughter was terrifying. Over a third of the five thousand plus warriors were gone in moments, yet the heroes showed no signs of fatigue.

Akorn's expression completely changed. The Three-Eyed Imps beside him stopped their preparations, one of them saying grimly,

"We were wrong. They aren't demigods; they are true gods. Even among true gods, few are this powerful."

"City Lord, you must call for reinforcements. This force is nowhere near enough."

Akorn's face was tight as he struggled with his thoughts. After a long pause, he asked,

"How much longer?"

Another Imp answered, "We need to change the reward."

Akorn gritted his teeth. "One thousand slave souls isn't enough?"

"No, far from it."

"We are cursing three exceptionally powerful Gods, not ordinary beings. To succeed, we need at least fifty thousand sacrifices."
