Just as Sandy finished speaking, the pheromone system delivered a reward — but he had no time to check it.
He quickly winked at everyone, signaling them to hurry and get back on the ship while they had the chance.
But the crew just stared at him, confused. Who on earth could understand his weird winking?
Luffy tilted his head.
"Sandy, what's wrong with your eyes? Are you feeling sick?"
Sandy's face darkened. This damn Captain.
Before he could think of a plan, McKinley finally reacted.
His expression turned dark as he said slowly, "I am now—"
Before he could finish, Luffy stepped forward with concern on his face.
"Whoa, your face looks awful! Are you sick? You should take medicine! When Nami got sick once, she almost died! Hahahaha!"
McKinley stared at him… absolutely speechless.
He tried to continue, but Luffy slapped a fist into his palm.
"Oh! I know! You have a stomachache? CONSTIPATION!?"
Pfft—
Everyone burst into laughter — Straw Hats and White Berets alike.
McKinley turned and glared behind him, and the White Berets instantly shut up.
"That's enough!" he snapped. "You Blue Sea people have not only committed illegal entry, you've obstructed official duties — and now you slander and intimidate the Captain of the White Berets! This crime is a CAPITAL offense! You will be executed by Cloud Stream Execution!"
Zoro immediately reached for his swords.
"Give me a break…"
Usopp grabbed him.
"Wait! Don't be impulsive, Zoro!"
"That guy's been accusing us of crap since the beginning! Let go! I'm gonna cut him in half!"
"We still can't act recklessly!"
Luffy frowned, "So we just let them execute us for nothing?"
"That's right," McKinley stated coldly. "You should surrender obediently."
Sandy waved him off.
"Why are we even talking to this clown? I winked at you to board the ship! How are you all so dumb? Still standing here like idiots?"
"What did you say?! YOU'RE the idiot!"
"No, you!"
CLANG! BANG! SMACK! THUD!
Within seconds, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Sandy were fighting each other instead of the enemy.
"Gum-Gum Pistol!"
McKinley was blasted away.
He lay on the ground, dazed.
I came to arrest them. Why am I the one getting beat up!?
"Captain!!"
The White Berets scrambled to help him.
Meanwhile, the Straw Hats kept brawling.
"I kick! I kick!"
"I slice! I slice!"
—DUANG! DUANG! DUANG! DUANG!
Nami yelled, "What are you guys even doing?! Do you understand the situation right now!?"
McKinley pushed himself up.
"Do you know the consequences for attacking me!?"
Robin smiled, "And what consequences are those?"
McKinley roared, "Cloud Stream Execution! You and your ship will be dropped into the clouds and struck by lightning! Capture them!! Fire— Cloud Arrows!!!"
The White Berets fired.
Luffy cracked his knuckles.
"Leave it to me."
Sandy grinned, "Fine. Nami, Robin — let's sit and enjoy the show."
Sanji's eyes turned into flames.
"WHAT!? No way!!"
But Sandy didn't care. He grabbed Nami with one hand and Robin with the other, sat down, and pulled out tea. The three calmly sipped while watching the chaos unfold.
"Go, Luffy! Go, Luffy! Go, Luffy!"
Nami sighed, "Can you shut up for a second?"
Robin chuckled softly, "We're in serious trouble, and you're cheering?"
Sandy shrugged, "They've already set their trap. We can't escape. Are we supposed to cry and panic like Usopp?"
Usopp's eye twitched.
"You bastard!"
"Don't want my protection anymore?" Sandy teased.
Usopp instantly changed tone.
"Haha! I was just joking! Protect me! Please!"
"Me too! Me too!" Chopper added with both hooves raised.
Sandy rolled his eyes.
"Just watch and learn."
Arrows shot across the sky — turning into cloud paths that the White Berets used with special Sky Island Dial shoes.
Luffy observed them carefully. He rarely attacked first — he always read the battlefield.
And once he was done studying—
"Gum-Gum Fireworks!!!"
Rapid punches blasted every White Beret into the clouds.
Sandy frowned, "Why call it Fireworks? There's no fire at all."
Zoro randomly asked, "Hey Nami… what's our current finances?"
"We have ten thousand Belly left," Nami replied sadly.
"Ten thousand!?" Zoro groaned. "That's nothing…"
"It'll only last a few more days…" Nami sighed.
Luffy puffed up like a strict parent.
"As Captain, I need to say this — you two need to manage money better!"
Sanji yelled, "Almost all our Belly goes into ship repairs or YOUR FOOD BILL, YOU GLUTTON!"
Luffy froze, eyes bulging.
"Eh?"
Usopp turned to Sandy.
"Didn't you store a lot of food?"
Oh crap. Sandy had eaten most of it.
He forced a straight face.
"I gave all the food to everyone earlier, remember? And you know Luffy… bottomless stomach…"
Usopp squinted at him suspiciously.
Sandy immediately changed the subject.
"Anyway, we need to leave now! And we absolutely can't return to Conis's place — her family could get dragged into trouble!"
The crew agreed and quickly set sail aboard the Going Merry, heading toward the forbidden Upper Yard — God's Island: Apayado.
Once on board, Sandy finally opened his system panel.
