chapter 92 part 1
Chapter 92: The Tide Caused by One Man Becoming an Army
He finally caught him.
Facing an opponent like A, even if he hadn't reached his peak yet, Tsukasa Kaede absolutely couldn't be careless; a slight oversight would easily allow the guy to escape.
A massive Reaper's phantom appeared behind Tsukasa Kaede. The Spirit Hand extending from its abdomen merged into A's body, firmly gripping A's Soul.
"What is this thing?!" A's eyes widened as he stared at the suddenly appearing ferocious Demon. He had initially wanted to retreat immediately but found his body utterly unable to move.
"Surprised? An excellent Ninja always keeps a few trump cards up their sleeve. I've specifically held onto this technique just to catch you."
Tsukasa Kaede said calmly, "From now on, your Soul belongs to me. No matter how powerful a body is, how can it contend with an attack on the Soul? Even the formidable Lightning Release Chakra Mode, invincible in offense and defense, is useless against this Jutsu of mine."
This was the Lightning Release Chakra Mode's only weakness: it couldn't reinforce spiritual strength. But then again, there were hardly any Technique Formulas in the entire Shinobi World that directly targeted the Soul.
A felt something within his body being slowly pulled out by the Spirit Hand, which was covered in eerie Runes, as if he was being gradually torn into two.
Even though he hadn't practiced any Soul-related Jutsu, he immediately realized this Abomination was tugging at his Soul.
"So what? I just need to kill you. Once you're dead, can you still use this Jutsu to kill me? With your organs destroyed, how much time do you have left to kill me?"
A roared, struggling to move his muscles. Every centimeter he moved felt like staggering forward under the weight of a mountain. At the same time, he desperately fought against the Spirit Hand's power, trying to buy as much time as possible.
To outsiders, the two were locked in a stalemate, motionless, their words equally baffling.
"Strange, why aren't they moving... What is A doing?"
"Quick, kill him! Chop off his head, end this terrifying battle once and for all!"
"This isn't good, it looks like something's wrong..."
Given A's fiery temper, standing still was already the biggest red flag. Several Kumogakure Ninja immediately charged forward, intending to help A kill Tsukasa Kaede.
Swish, swish, swish! At that moment, the previously motionless Zombies suddenly attacked again, instantly tackling the attacking Kumogakure Ninja to the ground. More Zombies eagerly crawled over, pouncing on the enemies and tearing at them with great bites.
Horrific screams pierced their hearts, and splattering flesh and blood resembled crumbling willpower. The sounds of chewing and swallowing were the most cruel dirge, dragging people from heaven back into deeper hell, terrifying them to their core.
"Why are these Corpses moving again? Wasn't that guy dead?!"
"Don't panic, he has no organs, but the remaining oxygen in his blood can supply his Brain, giving him a few more dozen seconds of life."
"That's right, it must be... But is it really? Then why did these Corpses suddenly launch a precise encirclement attack on our people?"
"...Could it be..."
Troy's fingers trembled as he manipulated a small Card Shuriken on the ground, sending it flying towards Araki of the Sand's head.
Buzz! A surge of quicksand rose before Araki of the Sand, deflecting the Card Shuriken.
"Damn it, it really... But why? It's undoubtedly the Main Body, a normal person would have died from such an attack long ago!" Troy panted rapidly on the ground, his face full of unwillingness.
Every one of the few survivors felt a bone-chilling cold growing within them. Tsukasa Kaede's fighting style already exceeded their understanding. They had suffered massive casualties, battling a horde of already dead Corpses, and had been pushed to the brink of despair, sustaining heavy losses.
They had finally managed to kill Tsukasa Kaede, but why wouldn't Tsukasa Kaede die? "He didn't use Medical Ninjutsu, nor did he have other Corpses to perform that energy transfer Jutsu. What on earth is going on? Why didn't the Boss just blow his head off and kill him completely?"
Troy felt a chill throughout his body. He subconsciously looked at the expressionless Araki of the Sand, meeting those grayish eyes. Even though Araki of the Sand's eyes weren't focused, Troy knew very well that Araki of the Sand was constantly staring at him alone.
From this distance, Araki of the Sand looked very much like a normal human, apart from his somewhat dull skin. But that wasn't an issue; it indicated that Tsukasa Kaede had been meticulously maintaining Araki of the Sand using his energy transfer Jutsu.
"Will I become like this someday? My Corpse meticulously preserved, then sent out to kill the Village's Comrades?" Troy sighed deeply.
The Kumogakure Ninja didn't dare to move, constantly uttering sounds of fear and unease.
A heard it all, but his body was incredibly stiff. He finally managed to touch Tsukasa Kaede's neck with his other hand, about to slowly apply force.
This would take some time.
"With injuries like these, and then using this Forbidden Jutsu that attacks the Soul, your end won't be much better. Are you trying to take me down with you? Hmph, you have some guts, but I won't let you have your way."
The veins on A's forehead bulged, his forehead slick with sweat, nervous and uneasy. He mustered all his strength, slowly closing his hand, intending to crush Tsukasa Kaede's head.
If his head was separated from his body, he couldn't possibly still control his body to cast Jutsu, could he? Then this terrifying Forbidden Jutsu should naturally be broken.
He would still be the ultimate victor! "Haven't you realized yet? It seems you lack a beast's intuition, or perhaps you've realized it but refuse to admit the truth? It's understandable, though; this body only died recently, it's incredibly fresh."
Tsukasa Kaede spoke, but his voice came from another direction.
Another Tsukasa Kaede appeared in A's line of sight. He sat casually on top of a Coffin, one leg dangling, his relaxed posture as if he had just finished enjoying a wonderful stage play and was now savoring the aftertaste.
"You—" A gritted his teeth, turning his head again to look at the Tsukasa Kaede in front of him.
