Minx bought the two wardrobes. The light problem would need to wait. Minx cooked lunch, ate then took a nap while Midas did his thing. He left the light things for her so she would feel like she was helping even though these houses were a lot of help.
She woke up two hours later and did the same thing. She took out 4 dumping baits and put in two more houses. She placed her signs and realized she was not as tired after building these two. She was getting stronger. She did the light lifting and was shocked how quickly Midas was outfitting these houses. She guessed he was getting quite experienced at this point. Having the carts to move the furniture to the new houses helped a lot.
They still had one more full day and a half day the next day.
Minx realized she needed to call Logan tonight and decided now would be best. She wanted to make two more houses tonight before bed.
She updated him on how things were going, Midas being attacked, the lack of light issue, the plumbing, what to do about that. He said he would think on things and see what he could come up with. He was able to come up with a lighting system pretty easy as there was something in the archives his family had kept for centuries but he would get back with her on how to implement it because it was simple technology but mathematically complicated. The plumbing had to wait until they knew how much water they had.
He also had put some thought in the her desire for secrecy. Travel to the planet risked being picked up even in stealth mode, though the risk is drastically reduced. He sent her the code to receive a teleporter system that required traveler badge access. For now, only hers would activate it. The end that they would come through was placed on the ship, still in the packaging. The one that would be set up on her end would stay where it was for now.
The call didn't really last long and she did most of the talking.
Once they were done, she cooked dinner and informed Midas his food was waiting for him after she had eaten and was heading to make houses 7 and 8, signs in hand. That night she collapsed into bed and didn't wake up the next day until lunch time. She got up. Cooked, ate, informed, Midas and so on. By the time she went to bed, row A had 10 houses and B and C were started.
Midas had switched things up a bit. He was putting things in the houses before setting anything else up. He wanted to make sure rain water would not get anything wet while they were gone. Minx had to buy the furniture for 1B and 1C as well as 2B, which would be Raven and Revlis's house providing they stayed together and Minx's hunch was correct.
She helped Midas move things even though that made him unhappy. He could set things up while she was working in Revlis and Raven's house in the morning and part of the afternoon but with the rotations of the two planets, they could not stay all day tomorrow.
To make things easier, Midas put a grate on every hole around the outside of the shelter as well as those inside. He'd deal with all those others at a later time. They had other priorities right now.
Minx slept well that last night there but was up bright and early. Her plan for the first 40-foot house, 2B, would have 3-bedrooms with one down stairs and two upstairs. There would be a bathroom with a tub on both floors.
The floor plan on the bottom would be the bathroom and Super kitchen then the master bedroom on the one side of the entry, living and dining room on the other side. Minx was also turning the houses just so. She didn't want everyone to be able to see into the houses of their neighbors when they opened their own doors.
The main floor would be the same in all the 40-foot houses. The second floor is what would change. The 4-bedroom houses would have a small shower and a toilet. She had yet to figure out where to squeeze in a sink in the smaller rooms. She did have closets in all the rooms in both models.
It took an hour to build the house. She had the outer branches linked to 1B, 1A, and 2A. It would reach 1C as well but she wanted to put another 40-footer near C. She'd link this to the next house when they returned. She hung a sign outside 2B that said Raven and Revlis. She hung another sign on 1B that said Aqua and Dufus. That way all 7 of them would be near each other for now. They could move their signs if they changed houses.
Minx and Midas made sure the houses of their friends were set up before they left. They ate one last time, finishing off all the food they brought with them as well as the food she grew. She gave the trees her lockdown command to ensure no beast gots in while they were gone. As they lifted off, they both admired their handiwork.
Minx laid back down on the bed with Caser nearby and slept all the way back. The only things they brought back were the empty trunks, the empty bag and a few changes of clothes for Midas since Minx lived in her beast clothes. It was midnight when they landed. Midas woke Minx to carry the stuff into their room. They didn't even put them anywhere. They just dropped them in the living area. Shalt wasn't asleep and offered to stow them in her room for her.
Minx told Midas he could sleep while she went and to speak to Quinn. Minx knocked on the door softly. Quinn opened the door as soon as her knuckled touched it.
He smiled, "I was meditating and smelled you…"
Minx giggled.
He invited her in and she explained how things went. She also let him know she needed a location on his ship to place her teleporter. She also needed someone to help put it up.
Quinn nodded understanding, "the issue is I don't want anyone to know about our ship yet. Peter should be able to designate a place though."
Minx nodded, "I think Shalt should be able to set it up. I'll ask him and give him the remote to the ship."
Quinn agreed, "that sounds good. Go get some rest."
She giggled softly, "okay."
She asked Shalt and he said it didn't sound that complicated. He took her remote. She sleepily nodded and went to bed. She was before Shalt got to the ship. Peter appreciated Shalt filling him in, not just because it was lonely on the huge ship by himself, but he heard the noises in the hanger bay. No one told him that was a possibility. He didn't understand how the doors opened and a ship just randomly left. They found a room that could be designated a teleporter room and Shalt set it up in a few hours.
