A deranged silence filled the air after Wrath sat down.

Envy's provocation was about much more than making Wrath turn on him at the moment; it was about making Wrath weary of him in the future.
While the Vice weren't exactly model people carrying good reputations to begin with, Wrath's prime directive was a mutual alliance pact due to the threat of the Corrupted, a pact which Vale's actions went against.
In other words, Wrath now saw Vale as the problem child number one.

Vale had been staring at Envy — praying Wrath would turn his head from him — but his eyes stayed posted on Vale.
