Chapter 197 - chapter 163 part 2

chapter 163 part 2

"Ren..." Kakashi said weakly, "Absolutely do not get too close to Orochimaru. He is far more complex than you think."

Uchiha Ren secretly rolled his eyes at Kakashi, thinking to himself, *Could Kakashi possibly know Orochimaru better than I, someone who has watched the anime?*

He changed the subject. "Kakashi-sensei, I'm never going on a mission with you again. Every time I'm on a mission with you, I feel like my sins are unforgivable. When have we not run into Kage-level enemies?"

Kakashi coughed a few times. "My, our luck... is indeed a bit poor..."

Yakumo Kurama, walking alongside them, wiped the sweat from her pale neck and said with lingering fear, "I... when I saw those red puppets all over the sky in the forest, I was so, so scared. I think, in the future, I'd better stick to missions finding cats and dogs."

The thought that he still needed to train Yakumo Kurama to become his ultimate weapon against Itachi immediately prompted Uchiha Ren to encourage her. "You were a great help on this mission. You are a natural-born ninja, keep it up! The Kurama Clan is counting on you for its revival! It's about to become Konoha's strongest genjutsu clan!"

Hearing this praise, Yakumo Kurama also became giddy. *Miss, to be praised like this by a genius from the Uchiha Clan, you can definitely do it!*

Yakumo Kurama blushed. "Yes, yes!"

Sitting in the wheelchair, Kakashi didn't even know what to say. As a veteran schemer, he naturally knew what Uchiha Ren was up to.

But, that guy from the Uchiha Clan with the single tomoe... was he really worth Ren hating and fearing so much?

In the bright classroom, students were whispering to each other.

Strangely, the students in this class were of all ages, with the oldest being up to twenty years old.

"Bang, bang, bang!"

At the front, Jean Grey rapped on the blackboard. "Quiet! Be quiet! Quiet!"

Most of the people below stopped talking, but Pyro was still lighting his finger, showing no respect.

"Saint John Alexander! Stop showing off your superpower! We've all seen enough!"

The students snickered, mocking Pyro's childish behavior.

Pyro shrugged and blew out the flame on his fingertip. Sitting in front of him, Iceman, the temporary class president, had already cursed eight hundred times in his head but, due to his temperament, said nothing.

Jean Grey cleared her throat. "Today, the lesson for this class is to teach you how to control your abilities emotionally and psychologically, to prevent your powers from controlling your inner heart and turning you into bad people!"

"First, let us welcome today's teaching assistant. His name is Stephen Fang! Welcome!"

A sparse round of applause sounded from below. Rogue, Shadowcat, and Colossus looked curiously toward the door.

When the mutant students saw that the newcomer was actually a man with an Asian face, they were more shocked than humans seeing mutants!

At the back of the class, Renkio, a Japanese mutant who was only thirteen years old, widened her eyes, sizing up Stephen Fang.

This was the first time she had seen a mutant with an Asian face other than herself.

Beside her, Colossus patted Renkio's head and said, "Renkio! Your fellow countryman is here!"

"Ahem!"

Stephen Fang walked into the classroom, his gaze sweeping over everyone's faces. After confirming that Quicksilver and Wanda were not among them, he yawned. "It was Ms. Jean Grey who insisted I come and share some experiences with you. To be honest, I don't want to share anything. I think, well, you live if you can, and if you can't, then you just die~"

"Pfft! Hahahaha!"

The students below burst into laughter.

They thought Stephen Fang was some old fossil coming to preach some grand principles.

But it turned out this guy was pretty down-to-earth.

Jean Grey's face darkened. "What did I instruct you to do at the beginning..."

Stephen Fang said embarrassedly, "I couldn't memorize it. My head is full of hatred, full of—"

"Hahaha!" The students below continued to roar with laughter.

"Alright!" Jean Grey sighed helplessly. "Then let Stephen Fang talk about his views on mutants, and, as a mutant, how he integrated into this society. This is valuable experience for you all!"

Stephen Fang thought for a moment. "It's nothing much. Wake up at five in the morning, go clean the back kitchen. Start preparing dishes at ten, and take time out to deliver takeout. Remember to be careful of inspections by the NYPD..."

"Oh right, you're all locals... except, except for that one."

Renkio knew he was looking at her and blushed.

"Other than that, the housing issue is hard to solve. You know, as an outsider, it's difficult to survive in this society. Many people just aren't willing to rent to you, you know? So sleeping in the park has the highest cost-performance ratio, but you must be careful!"

Colossus, in the audience, raised his hand curiously. "Careful of what?"

Stephen Fang pursed his lips and explained, "You can lose your belongings, but you must remember to cover your ass before you sleep! Otherwise..."

"Hahahahaha!"

The audience continued to burst into laughter. Except for Pyro, who had a displeased expression, all the students really liked this new teaching assistant.

"Ahem!" Jean Grey quickly cut off Stephen Fang's speech. "Fang, I asked you to come here to share the rules of survival for mutants in society, not illegal immigrants—"

"Oh, oh! I misunderstood, my apologies~" Stephen Fang feigned an apology, then his tone shifted again. "But you can just think of yourselves that way. You freaks, what's the big difference between you and the illegal immigrants in the sewers?"

"Oh right, you can do a few little tricks, which can indeed be a means of livelihood."

Hearing this, some laughed, some pondered, while Pyro stood up. "Hey teacher, I see you're not that old. You don't need to preach to me. So, may I ask, what's your ability?"

As he spoke, flames ignited in his hand, looking quite flashy.

"Me? Alright, I'll show you."

Stephen Fang moved swiftly, climbing out the window. In front of everyone, he began to form hand signs facing the open space with the fountain in front of the X-Academy.

He was forming the signs for the Great Fireball Technique!

In that instant, with a "BOOM—," a massive flame erupted from in front of him! Like a roaring beast of fire, it bared its fangs and brandished its claws as it swept towards the fountain!

The temperature of the flame was extremely high. Wherever it passed, water instantly evaporated. In just a moment, the entire fountain was baked dry, not a single drop of water remaining!

The grass around the fountain also withered rapidly under the high-temperature roasting, directly exposing the mud beneath.

This soil seemed to have suffered a devastating disaster. It cracked in the blink of an eye, with fissures like hideous scars crisscrossing it, having completely lost its original fertile properties. Everything around seemed to have been swept into a sea of apocalyptic flames...

Seeing this scene, Pyro was dumbfounded.

All the mutant students were stunned.

Stephen Fang turned his head and grinned at the crowd. "So, when you see people from the 'Immigration Bureau', just blast them with fire!"

Jean Grey's face instantly turned ashen.

With that one move, three months of her teaching results had been utterly ruined.
