Chapter 190 - chapter 159 part 2

chapter 159 part 2

His expression calm, he slowly took out a pair of handcuffs from his waist. His movements were unhurried. Amidst Teacher Cang's growing terror, with a click, he fastened the handcuffs onto her slender wrists.

Then, as if nothing had happened, he pulled Teacher Cang to her feet and, ignoring everyone else, walked toward the detention room under their astonished gazes.

Upon reaching the detention room door, Chu Xuan stopped and called out without turning his head, "Zhang Jie, carry Hu Yong in here."

Hearing this, Zhang Jie didn't hesitate for a second. He hurried forward and, with great effort, managed to carry the limp and moaning Hu Yong into the detention room.

Once Hu Yong was properly settled, Chu Xuan turned to face Teacher Cang. A faint smile slowly appeared on his face, looking exceptionally bizarre in the gloomy surroundings.

Immediately after, his thin lips parted, and he uttered a sentence that left everyone present stunned, their minds going completely blank: "Kill him."

These two simple words struck like a clap of thunder, exploding next to everyone's ears.

Everyone froze in place, their faces etched with disbelief, as if they were wondering if they had heard him correctly.

"Huh?!" Someone, it was unclear who, subconsciously let out a cry of shock, breaking the brief, deathly silence. But after that cry, the detention room fell back into a dead silence. Everyone was waiting to see how this unbelievable scene would unfold.

Teacher Cang's eyes flew open, filled with disbelief and rage. After a moment of silence, she erupted like a lit firecracker, screaming curses at Chu Xuan.

"Baka! Are you sick! Is it fun for you to humiliate me like this?! Our team was just careless! Why do you have to be such a triumphant little villain! Bastard!"

She struggled with all her might, but bound by the handcuffs, she had no strength to break free. She continued to scream with all her might:

"Who tortures prisoners like you? Even when other teams capture a spiritual power controller, they just kill them cleanly! Tormenting people with all these tricks... you'll get your retribution! You'll die a horrible death!"

Her voice grew shrill with agitation, echoing through the police station corridors. Every word was saturated with condemnation for the absurd scene before her.

Chu Xuan, however, seemed not to hear her. There wasn't a ripple of emotion on his face, which was as cold as an ice sculpture. He simply watched Teacher Cang quietly. When she had calmed down a little, he finally spoke slowly, his tone so calm it was chilling: "Do you know of the evil deeds committed by your elders?"

Beneath Chu Xuan's calm exterior, there was now a faint, hard-to-detect trace of anger. "That is what deserves divine punishment and retribution! If I were to use the methods of your elders on you, I believe I wouldn't be the only one you'd hate by then."

After this lecture, Teacher Cang's body trembled, and she dared not say another word, her eyes vacant.

Seeing that Teacher Cang had fallen silent, Chu Xuan turned slightly to face the others and began to explain in a methodical manner.

"The last two Masked Killers will be born in the East Sea Team. The goal they must achieve is to kill members of an enemy reincarnation team. Only by doing so can they be acknowledged as true Masked Killers. This is the crucial point we are currently facing."

His voice wasn't loud, but it reached everyone's ears clearly. Upon hearing this, everyone's heart trembled, as if struck by an electric current.

Next, Chu Xuan unhurriedly picked up a ghost-face mask and walked lightly to Teacher Cang. With a gentle yet undeniable motion, he placed it on her.

He then nodded slightly to Zhang Jie. Understanding his cue, Zhang Jie hurried forward to support the incredibly weak Teacher Cang, helping her to barely stand firm.

At this point, Hu Yong, on the floor, was already scared out of his wits. A dark, wet patch spread across his trousers, and the pungent stench of urine filled the air.

Seeing disaster looming, his survival instinct made him struggle with all his might to get up. His hands flailed wildly, trying to push away the approaching Teacher Cang, while he shouted incoherently, making a final, desperate struggle.

"Fuck, fuck you all! Are, are you even human?! Making this bitch come, kill me?! You guys, you'll lose points too! Don't, don't do this! I'll haunt you even as a ghost! Ahhh! I'm begging you! Please! We're all newcomers! Why are you veterans listening to his every word!"

Seeing this, Chu Xuan's eyes suddenly turned cold. His figure flashed, and he delivered a flying kick, striking Hu Yong precisely on the chin.

With a soft "crack," Hu Yong's head snapped back, his eyes rolled up, and he fainted instantly. His body went limp and collapsed to the ground, with no strength left to resist.

"Do it." Chu Xuan's voice echoed once more in the silent police station.

Teacher Cang trembled all over, her eyes filled with terror and despair. She opened her mouth as if to plead for something, but under Chu Xuan's gaze, as cold as a winter star, she helplessly swallowed her words. Gritting her teeth, she slowly nodded, then tightened her grip on the dagger in her hand and mechanically moved forward, one step at a time.

The moment the sharp blade touched Hu Yong's body, Teacher Cang squeezed her eyes shut and put all her strength into her hand, viciously plunging the dagger into Hu Yong's abdomen.

"Ah—" Hu Yong was jolted awake from his unconscious state by the intense pain. He let out a series of heart-wrenching wails, a sound so miserable it made one's scalp tingle, echoing through the police station for a long, long time.

Everyone's gaze was fixed on the scene, their hearts feeling as if they were being squeezed by a giant, invisible hand. Even their breathing became rapid.

Only when Hu Yong's wails gradually weakened did everyone snap out of it as if waking from a dream, hastily raising their reincarnation wristwatches.

On the watch face, the progress for the return mission of hunting the Masked Killers had shockingly changed to [9/10]!

For a time, a brief, deathly silence fell over the police station. Everyone stared at their watch screens with mixed feelings, both relieved that the mission had progressed and feeling heavy and oppressed by the cruel and bloody scene.
