# Chapter 202: Accel Synchro VS Double Tuning
In the blink of an eye, Bruno, enveloped in a wave of red energy, vanished from Jack's sight. Yet, his voice seemed to echo right in Jack's ear.
"I tune the Level 5 T.G. Wonder Magician with the Level 2 Paleozoic Canadia!"

"Clear Mind! Icy flames envelop the world! Let the black flower bloom! Accel Synchro! Appear, Level 7! Black Rose Dragon!"
A hoarse dragon's roar echoed as Bruno dashed out from the void behind Jack. The Rose Dragon beside him roared, and countless petals swept across the entire Field.
"When Black Rose Dragon is Synchro Summoned, its effect activates! Destroy all Cards on the Field!"
"As expected, Bruno wasn't going to let Jack's monster appear so easily. Black Rose Dragon, with its powerful effect to destroy all Cards on the Field upon being summoned, combined with Accel Synchro, which allows for a Synchro Summon during the opponent's turn—what a terrifying combo!"
"However, that means your Field will be empty too! And I still haven't used my Normal Summon for this turn!" Jack declared fearlessly, facing the sky full of fiery red petals.
"Is that really so?" Bruno smirked. Unleashing the full power of his super-cooled D-Wheel once more, he shot in front of Jack. The high-speed airflow swirled the scattered petals around him, and a red aura enveloped the still-disintegrating Black Rose Dragon and T.G. Star Guardian as they vanished ahead.
"I tune the Level 5 T.G. Star Guardian with the Level 7 Black Rose Dragon!"

"Wings of deepest black, harness the power of thunder and the will of your comrades! Roar with brilliant intensity! Accel Synchro! Slash forth! Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder!"
A sharp, prolonged cry accompanied by bursting thunder erupted in the air. Along the lightning-strewn road, the vanished Bruno reappeared from behind Jack. With him came a black-winged Beast-Warrior wielding a longsword. The rampant lightning on the Field instantly quieted upon this monster's appearance, docilely flowing into its blade.
Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder ATK: 3000
"Because Black Rose Dragon's effect has already activated, the effect to destroy all Cards on the Field continues to resolve. However, Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder cannot be destroyed by card effects!"
"What?! That means..." Jack was startled.
"That's right. The only one that will be destroyed is your Red Dragon Archfiend Scarlight!" said Bruno.
As Bruno finished speaking, the Scarlight beside Jack let out a mournful cry before being sliced apart by the falling petals, dissipating into the air.
"I see! So that's why you prepared two Synchro Tuner Monsters," Jack said, nodding at the sight. "You've qualified as an opponent for the King! But to surpass the King, this isn't enough!"
"I activate the Spell Card, Red Revival! I target one 'Red' monster in the Graveyard and Special Summon it in Defense Position with its effects negated! (Anime Card)"
"Return! Red Dragon Archfiend Scarlight!"
Blazing flames ignited, and Red Dragon Archfiend Scarlight returned from within the inferno.
"I summon Chain Resonator in Attack Position!"
"Chain Resonator's effect activates! Since a Synchro Monster is on the Field, when this card is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon one 'Resonator' monster from my Deck, other than 'Chain Resonator'!"
"Appear! Tuner Monster, Synclone Resonator!"
"Two Tuner Monsters..." Bruno said, his expression grim.
"Have you figured it out?" Jack smiled. "This is Double Tuning, which was once hailed alongside your Accel Synchro as the future of Synchro Summoning."
"Back then, I also tried to attain the legacy of Accel Synchro, but I failed. Thinking back on it now, it was inevitable. After all, the state required to resonate with 'Clear Mind' and the 'wind of ultimate speed' is completely incompatible with my eternally burning soul!" As Jack spoke, wild flames ignited in his eyes, and the powerful beat of his heart found a special harmony with the monsters on the Field.
"Because the flame in my soul will never be extinguished! This is my path to kingship!" Jack roared, pointing a single finger to the sky. "I tune the Level 1 Chain Resonator and the Level 1 Synclone Resonator with the Level 8 Red Dragon Archfiend Scarlight!"
"Rage on, my soul!"
As if sensing the inferno deep within their master's soul, the two tuning fork-wielding demons beside Jack transformed into rings of fiery stars, enveloping Red Dragon Archfiend Scarlight. Within these flames, Scarlight completed its evolution and sublimation!

"The King and the Demon now become one. Touch the soul of the Crimson Dragon and unleash a roar that will shake the very foundations of creation! Double Tuning! Appear! Level 10, Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend!"
Amidst the fiercely burning flames, the sublimated Red Dragon Archfiend let out a roar, returning in its tyrant form. The scorching flames flowing across its body distorted the very air around it.
Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend ATK: 3500
"Synclone Resonator's effect activates when it's sent from the Field to the Graveyard! I target one 'Resonator' monster in my Graveyard, other than this card, and add it to my hand! I'm adding Crimson Resonator from my Graveyard to my hand!"
"Time for battle!" After retrieving his card, Jack pointed at Bruno. "Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend, attack Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder! Blazing Soul Flame!"
Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend roared, its wings wreathed in fire, as it soared into the sky and unleashed a searing dragon's breath at Bruno's monster.
The black-winged beast-warrior before Bruno was swiftly engulfed by the flames. The scorching wave of fire sent Bruno's D-Wheel staggering, but he quickly managed to stabilize it.
Bruno LP: 4000 → 3500
"Is this... Master Jack's true power?" the Female Commentator behind them exclaimed in awe. "Even a Level 12 monster summoned through successive Accel Synchros was defeated so easily by Jack?"
Unmoved by the Female Commentator's praise, the duel-focused Jack said, "I set one card and end my turn."
"The power of Accel Synchro, said to be on par with Double Tuning, can't be just this, can it?" Jack hit the accelerator, and his Wheel of Fortune surged forward, overtaking Bruno. "Show me everything you've got!"
"As you wish!" Bruno replied, accelerating to keep pace without yielding an inch. "My turn! I draw!"
"I summon Junk Synchron in Attack Position!"
"Junk Synchron's effect activates! When this card is Normal Summoned, I can target one Level 2 or lower monster in the Graveyard and Special Summon it!"
"Revive! Junk Converter!"
"I tune the Level 3 Junk Synchron with the Level 2 Junk Converter!"
