Although the Sabertooth is quite annoying, the members of this guild do have some backbone.
Even when their aces were knocked down, others did not seem to be stepping aside easily—even as some of their legs were trembling.
"They provoke us, yet make it seem like we're the villains," Rhode said as he walked out arm in arm with Mira.
Mira lifted her free hand, shaping it into a claw: "If they want to block us, let them. They'll bear the consequences."
Their firm attitude made the others involuntarily step back slightly.
"W-Wait a minute!" Stinger climbed out of the pit, his drooping arms swaying with his body, "Take back those insulting words about the guild!"
On the other side, Rogue also climbed out of a hole in the wall. After jumping down, he stood firmly beside Stinger.
"I understand your feelings to defend the guild's reputation, and I appreciate your guts to fight, but... I'm not really interested in bullying kids."
Considering their age, these two were probably about twelve years old seven years ago, likely the same generation as Wendy, making it really seem like bullying kids if they fought.
"Dare to call us kids... In that case, let us show you that."
"Don't underestimate the mages of Sabertooth!"
Powerful magic power erupted from Stinger and Rogue; one was engulfed in a flame-like white glow, the other surrounded by ribbon-like black shadows.
The powerful magic power, beyond the reach of ordinary people, burst forth, causing small stones on the ground to lightly roll back.
As the glow faded, their hair stood up; white dragon scale-like patterns appeared on Stinger's face and body, and black ones on Rogue's.
Everyone could feel that the two's aura at this moment far surpassed their usual.
The atmosphere in the guild heated up immediately: "It's Dragon Power!"
"That's the power that only third-generation mages can unlock through their own will!"
"Stinger and Rogue have never lost after entering this state!"
"What is the 'third generation'?"
Rekete folded his arms, explaining to the members seeing Stinger in this state for the first time: "First-generation Dragon Slayer Mages were taught Dragon Slayer Magic by dragons themselves.
"Second-generation Dragon Slayer Mages have the Dragon-Slaying Magic Crystal implanted in them, which allows them to use Dragon Slayer Magic.
"But Stinger and Rogue were both taught by dragons and have the Dragon-Slaying Magic Crystal implanted, making them surpass the first and second generations as the strongest third-generation Dragon Slayer Mages!"
"Fro also thinks so."
The few people blocking the door suddenly realized: "Then aren't we... better move away quickly!"
Everyone rushed to safe places.
The third generation stronger than the previous two? Rhode found it absurd.
These two couldn't even withstand three moves from Laxus combined, even from six years ago.
Stinger looked sharply at Rhode: "Even if you're one of the Ten Wizard Saints, be careful, because..."
Rogue continued: "This is magic for confronting dragons, a power equal to dragons!"
Having reminded him, they didn't wait for Rhode's answer and charged together.
Stinger's entire body emitted a dazzling white light, while Rogue seemed to completely transform into a mass of pitch-black shadow.
The two of them punched forward together:
"Dragon Slayer's Secret Art: Holy Nova!"
"Dragon Slayer's Secret Art: Abyss Shadow Burial!"
Stinger's fist shot out a beam of white light, while Rogue's fist unleashed a waterfall-like shadow.
Their attacks exploded in front of Rhode, with blinding white light and pitch-black shadows intertwining into a giant sphere that enveloped Rhode and Mira completely.
Rekete was about to say 'Stinger is the strongest,' but suddenly realized something was wrong: "Ah, damn, using that kind of move here, the guild will..."
"Fro also thinks so."
Sure enough, as soon as the two little cats had spoken, the power of the Dragon Slayer's Secret Art had been fully unleashed.
The floor cracked and shattered, with broken tiles flying in all directions, several nearby windows shattered from the shock, and cracks appeared on the walls and columns.
Their powerful attacks not only covered the place where Rhode and Mira stood but also extended behind them.
The Sabertooth guild's main door was blown off with a bang, the entire wall was severely damaged, the guild shook loudly, and even the saber-toothed tiger sculpture on the roof seemed to tilt.
Pedestrians outside were startled, only seeing a large door fly into the street, followed by blinding white light from inside the guild.
What on earth is Sabertooth doing?
Though extremely curious, upon looking at the deformed iron door, they dared not linger around at all.
Stinger felt assured of victory: "No one hit directly by this move could remain unharmed."
Rogue said: "Of course, because Stinger and I have used this power to kill real dragons! Regret underestimating us."
However, when the white light and black shadows dissipated, a breeze scattered the surrounding dust, and a faint golden light disappeared.
A circular pit over a meter deep had been struck into the floor, yet in the center of the pit stood a 'pillar' with a small piece of the ground intact.
Standing there unharmed, of course, were Rhode and Mira.
Rhode heard their earlier words and burst into laughter: "Killed a dragon with this power? Don't joke around."
If he had to say, it couldn't even compare to the Red Lotus Flame Blade.
Stinger's eyes were wide in shock, his eye corners twitching slightly in disbelief: "How... how is this possible..."
Rogue wasn't any better off: "Our Dragon Slayer's Secret Art clearly hit directly!"
Everyone else looked astonished: "Hit by such magic and still unharmed?"
"Are they really human?"
"Defense magic, they must have quietly used defense magic!"
"But even so, it wouldn't be simple defense magic, right?"
Everyone fell silent; with such an attack, even if they teamed up for defense magic, they couldn't...
Mira glanced back: "Oh my, what an exaggeration, won't the Council give us trouble?"
"They demolished their own guild, what's it got to do with us? I should be the one to accuse them of attacking one of the Ten Wizard Saints," Rhode didn't think he'd have any trouble, "but..."
He looked up and noticed how much more spacious it suddenly became.
Rhode started laughing: "Alright then, since you say you've killed dragons yourself, mind showing me here?"
Stinger and Rogue were left bewildered.
Rhode, however, raised a hand: "Though it's not the same as before, here's the dragonling you wanted, summon, Purgatory Sub-Dragon!"
"Aaaarrgh~~~" The Purgatory Sub-Dragon appeared behind Rhode with a scorching temperature and a loud dragon roar.
The remaining walls were carelessly knocked down by its wings, and the sculpture above the guild, due to the shaking, finally fell.
The massive stone sculpture fell onto the back of the Purgatory Sub-Dragon, split in two, and was charred black.
The entire guild was left in shock, eyes wide agape: "A dragon... it's really a dragon..."
"Is this really a summoning magic? Summoning a dragon?"
"Such a terrifying aura, hearing the legends and seeing it firsthand are two completely different things!"
Rekete swallowed hard: "So hot, so powerful, did Stinger really take down such a beast?"
Floros, slightly frightened, hid behind Rekete: "Fro, Fro thinks so too..."
