Chapter 783 - Chapter 121: New Sin of the Witch

Ultear recently encountered a bit of trouble.

The Strong Detention Team from the Council is pursuing her—but it's not worth mentioning.

Although these people have changed their gear and their rules have been adjusted, their way of working hasn't remarkably improved.

The most crucial point is that the Tracing Team, which should play an important role in tracking, has yielded no results in this mission.

Since Ultear was responsible for this aspect when she was an Evaluator, she is more familiar with the Tracing Team than the Strong Detention Team.

Therefore, escaping their pursuit is not difficult for her, even if she is carrying a few burdens.

Yes, burdens.

The six people Ultear and Melty rescued are not all willing to leave with them.

First is Jellal, whose mental state is quite poor right now; if there's a word to describe it, it's 'giving up'.

Jellal currently has a long scar on his neck, only the whites in his right eye are visible, and there is a scar on his forehead, covered by hair.

His left eye is intact but lacks vitality; if told to stand, he stands, if told to sit, he sits, if told to walk, he walks, resembling a marionette.

He seems to have no will to survive, not bothering to dodge or defend against others' attacks.

Although Ultear has told Jellal the truth, he still believes that even if he was manipulated, he personally committed those acts and thus is a sinner who should continue suffering in prison.

Others might be better, but he is truly suffering in prison — some guards enjoy torturing Jellal.

Being one of the once-high-and-mighty Evaluators and one of the Ten Wizard Saints, he's now subjected to unbearable pain at the mere press of a button.

This gives the guards pleasure.

In fact, the one who most enjoys torturing Jellal is the Frog Person who knelt the most respectfully before Jellal 7 years ago.

The Council hasn't intervened in this situation, as these punishments are entirely within the guards' authority.

Jellal himself believes he deserves this.

Sometimes he wonders if it would have been better if he had died in that battle or had never been awoken.

Now he has a slight self-destructive tendency, wishing to die at the hands of those who hate him.

Ultear finds dealing with this Jellal quite headache-inducing, but she cannot ignore the sins she has committed.

Then there's Richard, formerly codenamed Hot Eye, a tall man with a somewhat squared face.

He once belonged to the faction of evil but harbored a part of goodness within. When he struggled between good and evil, Nirvana happened to absorb his evil thoughts.

Thus, he evolved from someone who talked only about money and believed anything could be done for money into a super good person who talks only about love and is willing to sacrifice everything for it.

Since Erza told him that his brother Wally is doing well outside, Richard decided to redeem himself in prison.

So he most resisted Ultear's rescue, even retaliating.

Unfortunately, powerless to use magic in prison with the Demon Sealing Stones, he was knocked out by Melty and forcibly dragged away.

Cobra did offer some help during the escape.

However, once in a safe place, when Ultear stated her purpose, Cobra was the first to jump out and oppose.

"Why should I take orders from you?" Cobra slightly raised his chin, appearing arrogant, "The leader of the Seven Demons of the Demon Heart talking about redemption, what a joke!"

Right now, what he wants most is to find Quiberius, not waste time with them.

Midnight also defied them, "I've always only listened to 'father's' orders."

"I think so too," Laser said, "Does your 'speed' deserve my following?"

Richard hesitated slightly; legally, he should be in prison redeeming his sins. But from the 'love' perspective, it seems eliminating more darkness outside truly redeems.

Kono's stance is also wavering; she thinks redemption in prison is correct, but since being out, she doesn't wish to obediently return.

At least it's worth gathering some information outside.

However, acting with these two dangerous women… there's some resistance, given the potential of earning such a hefty crime; then…

"I chose you because I believe you can be saved, but if reasoning doesn't work, let's speak through magic."

Ultear held up a Crystal Ball, offering it forward, "Let's have a battle! 2 against 5, if you win, I can't interfere with your actions.

"If you can't beat me, then either join Sin of the Witch, acting according to our rules, or… if I eliminate those unwilling to redeem, it counts as eradicating darkness!"

With Jellal excluded, Richard and Kono hesitating, Ultear planned to give them a reason to persuade themselves.

Most importantly, to make those three rebels submit.

"We were once one of the Balram Alliance, at the same level as you guys initially, don't underestimate us!"

The three rebels immediately agreed, and Richard and Kono had no choice but to stand with their allies.

The battle was about to erupt.

Initially, Melty wasn't too confident, but after the fight, she realized it was too easy.

After cooperating with Ultear to beat the five of them down, this pink-haired girl straightforwardly spat some sharp words:

"Was Oracion Seis weaker than we imagined? Can they really be of help?"

Ultear replied, "Because they haven't used magic for 7 years."

Though she and Melty were sealed for 6 years with Fairy Tail, they had researched the Second Magic Source thoroughly in the few months since being released.

Moreover, Ultear's Arc of Time could aid in practice, allowing someone to activate the Second Magic Source overnight.

In addition, they were inherently formidable.

Oracion Seis faced the same dilemma as the Celestial Wolf Group back then, falling behind the times.

Added to this, Richard lacked combat desire, and Kono, a Star Spirit Mage, was without keys, so it was essentially 2 against 3.

Winning was to be expected.

Ultear with arms akimbo, wore a sinister smile as she addressed the five people, "Well then… raise your hand if you want to die!"

The five individuals were immobile.

"Very well, welcome to Sin of the Witch!" Ultear's smile remained wicked, "Prepare for fighting darkness relentlessly until you die!"

"Okay, President Ultear." Richard immediately exclaimed with a beaming smile, "Companions, let's fight darkness together to fill the world with love!"

Cobra grumbled, "You've adapted to this situation too fast, haven't you?"

"But, as that woman said, are we truly of any use?" Laser's confidence was shattered by those two.

"Don't worry, I've of course planned this in advance." Ultear stated, "First, it's about Angel…"

Kono turned her head aside, "Call me Kono, I no longer wish to use that codename."

"Alright, Kono, you're a Star Spirit Mage, but the Zodiac keys all have owners." Ultear expressed some regret,

"However, we can help you collect Silver Keys, or you could consider learning a new magic."

Kono nodded, as she likely couldn't sign a Celestial Spirit Contract anymore.

"Then there's about your Magic Power, I have a quick method to activate the Second Magic Source, but…" Ultear sounded like a demon, "Prepare to endure immense pain! Bastards!"
