(Ethan POV)
Ethan quickly turned all the lights on with a flick.
The light revealed a slight but obvious dampening at the edges of his bag.
Ethan: (Damn it. I should–)
He reached for the zip but his fingers stopped.
Ethan: (No. I'll deal with this in my room.)
He grabbed the handle, and with all his might pulled. The bag resisted, not budging an inch.
Ethan wasn't deterred. He pulled and pulled, his eyebrows twitched, his veins bulged. Each failed attempt drove him further, further BEYOND!
His eyes locked onto his opponent, the immovable bag.
Ethan: (Seriously. I know this was heavy, but this much! Just how many things did I dump in this.)
He drove his foot down, wrapped the handle around his hand and with a single breath channelled the power of both God and Anime into his fists. HE PULLED, he pulled like his life depended on it.
Oh, and what is this – miraculously, the immovable bag shifted an inch.
Ethan: (YESSS!)
The bag slowly scraped against the floor, inching further and further and–
Elin: "Do you need any help?"
Those words, those few words were all it took for Ethan's focus to abandon him, along with power of God and anime.
Ethan: "The HELL!"
Elin flinched back.
Elin: (Did I disturb him?)
Elin: "I–I just thought you might require help with, you know... Nevermind, I'm just gonna le–"
Ethan: "Ya. Sure."
Elin stopped and nervously stepped besides him.
Ethan: "What I'm not gonna kill you, grab the handle and help me move this piece of shit."
He gently kicked the bag, letting his frustration out but making sure not to damage anything.
Elin: (Doesn't feel like it.)
Elin: "Right."
Ethan: "Ready. Pull."
Both of them channelled all their power and pulled.
Elin: (What did he put in here?)
The bag did it's best but couldn't resist their combined power. It got dragged across the wooden floor basked in its former glory, helpless, defeated.
Ethan: "How long were you watching?"
Elin: "Just a moment ago."
Ethan: (So, from the beginning.)
They successfully kidnapped the poor soul into Ethan's laboratory (aka room 101).
Elin: "What's in this anyway?"
Ethan: "It's ughhh lot, a lot of stuff. Why don't you help me out here. Grab that plate over there, on the counter."
He found a random cloth from the background and wrapped it around his palm as a makeshift glove.
Elin: "Here."
She kept a plate right beside him.
Ethan crept his hand inside and carefully pulled out a plethora of various items.
Along with the items, he pulled out shards of glass, keeping them gently on the plate.
Elin: "These sure are a lot of stuff, a lot of police equipment."
Ethan: "Told you. I practically nabbed everything I could get my hands on."
Elin: (I can tell.)
Ethan: "This bag is essentially my inventory."
Elin: "I just thought maybe at some point you would stop to think exactly when you would require four tazers or, a full set of women's police uniform?"
Ethan: "Wait this is a women's uniform?"
For the first time the question answered itself.
Elin picked up a shard of glass.
Elin: "And this is, alcohol?"
Ethan: "Ya."
Elin: "...."
Ethan: "And?"
(A plus one to the awkward counter.)
A short staring contest later, Ethan finally came to the late realization.
Ethan: (Oh.)
Ethan: "Wait, no way you thought.. I'm seventeen! And this was meant to be a molotov cocktail."
Elin: "Oh."
Elin: (That actually makes way more sense.)
Elin: "Why didn't you use it?"
Ethan: "Dylan said so. In his opinion using this was the same as giving the opponent fire aspect but I carried one just in case."
Elin: "Fire aspect?"
Ethan: "If the opponent is engulfed in fire close quaters combat becomes nearly impossible, unless you are ok with recieving second degree burns. On the other hand the goblins are immune to pain, and fire takes long to actually get the kill."
Elin: "How long?"
Ethan: "Around four to five minutes."
Elin raised an eyebrow.
Elin: (You call that long?)
Ethan could feel her judgemental gaze.
Ethan: "It is pretty long when you consider, I can just shoot a grenade in thirty seconds."
Elin: "In my opinion the most effective thing against a goblin would be a tranquilizer gun."
Ethan: "I doubt any police station would ever keep that."
Elin: "Knockout gas?"
Ethan: "My best guess is off the dark web."
Elin: "Yaa. Is there anything else, useful?"
Ethan: "I found a utility belt, a helmet."
Elin: (More for Dylan.)
Ethan: "A whistle, a flashlight, way too many handcuffs, another radio, a bloodied knife, a riot shield."
Elin: "Pfttt– There's a riot what?"
Ethan dove his hands in, and pulled out a complete riot shield almost as big as himself.
Ethan: "You mean this?"
Elin: (How did he even?)
That was it. That was the breaking point of Elin's sanity. She reliased he wasn't joking – he really nabbed everything. This bag was quite literally his inventory.
On the matter of how a riot shield got in his bag is beyond me, but he somehow managed to pull it off.
Elin: "Ya that will be really helpful."
Ethan continued rummaging through his bag.
Elin, stunned, rocked, thoroughly bamboozled did not question him. At this point she accepted whatever came out next, whether it be a rocket launcher, a mortar, a car, or hell even the entire goddamn police station, she just sat back and went with the flow.
