Elin: "How do you feel?"
Dylan: "Much better."
The shredded flesh completely sealed shut. Torn muscles reconnected, deep claw marks vanished. Leaving behind smooth skin but some scars remained, old scars. Carved onto his body unaffected by the skill.
Elin: (It WORKED!)
Excitement immediately spread across her face. A grin formed naturally.
Her hand instinctively covered her mouth, trying to hide it.
Elin: (Now let's get back to..)
In her excitement her eyes made the mistake of drifting onto Dylan's abs.
Elin: (Back to...)
At this moment a neuron activated, her brain broke through its limit and utilised 120% of it's power.
Drool dripped from her mouth as her eyes fixated on his abs, like admiring a work of art.
Elin: (Now that I look at him closely he has, quite a nice body. Is he an athlete? And what's with those scars they don't seem to be made by a goblin.)
Dylan was in fact, unaware of this wolf with the face of a lamb staring him down.
A chill ran down his spine warning him of this apex predator.
Dylan: (Why do I feel uneasy all of a sudden. Is there another goblin nearby?)
The trusty bat returned to his grip as he wandered back towards Ethan's unconscious body. Elin trailed close behind.
Dropping to one knee, he quickly frisked Ethan's body.
Dylan: (There doesn't appear to be any obvious wounds. Will Elin's skill even work on him?)
Dylan: "Elin. Could you heal him up?"
His words shook her out of her trance. The sudden interaction sent her back stumbling down.
Elin: "What? Huh?"
Dylan: (What was she even doing?)
Dylan: "Can you heal Ethan up?"
She frantically nodded and carefully crawled her way next to Ethan. Her finger gently wrapped around his limp hand.
Elin: "Heal."
Dylan carefully observed Ethan's body for any changes.
Ethan: "AAAHHH– Ough, ough, ough, ough."
Elin retreated backwards, instantly letting go of his hand.
Ethan instantly awoke, yelling with great agony. Like an insect, he began rolling and kicking his legs while clenching his head.
Ethan: "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?"
Dylan's body loosened up, a load had been lifted from his shoulder.
Dylan, with a mocking smirk.
Dylan: "Well, you seem normal."
Ethan: "NORMAL! I feel like someone hammered down on my brain."
Elin's eyes slid away with guilt.
The pain quickly began to subside.
Dylan: (Was it really that bad?)
Dylan: "First tell me how did you even faint?"
Ethan: "Huh?"
He groaned while clenching his forehead.
Ethan: "Oh that. It was the consequence of investing all my stat points into intelligence."
Dylan: (No wonder, but I didn't expect the repercussions to be this severe.)
Dylan: "What's your hp?"
Ethan: "Open. It'sss, 60?"
Ethan: (Am I seriously that injured?)
Nothing besides the headache felt particularly serious him, but little did they know that increasing intelligence by a significant amount is the same as lobotimizing yourself.
Dylan: "That's good to hear."
Dylan offered his hand.
Ethan: "By the way?"
He grabbed it and pulled himself upright.
Ethan: "Would you mind explaining why you are half naked."
Dylan: "Why? You suddenly have a problem with this?"
Ethan dusted himself.
Ethan: "No, but it looks like Elin does."
Dylan turned to find Elin glancing up at his abs with intense concentration like a predator.
The predator in question did't seem to notice she's been caught.
Dylan: (No wonder I felt so uneasy.)
Ethan took off his hoodie and tossed it.
Ethan: "It's one size bigger, so it should fit. And–" His eyes flared up. "Don't you dare rip it."
Dylan: With a nonchalant demeanor. "Ya, sure."
Within moments the hoodie equipped onto Dylan.
As the hoodie came on she reached out her hand.
Elin: (Nooo. Come back.)
Dylan couldn't help but stare at Elin.
Dylan: (Why do I feel bad?)
Ethan: "So, how did your injuries recover so quickly."
Dylan: "Elin unlocked the system and healed me."
Ethan: "She what? How?"
Confusion painted all over his face. He reflexively aimed at Elin
Ethan: "The only support she provided was moral support and she did a crappy job at that too."
Emotional damage! His words struck her down like a sword.
Dylan: (He needs to learn to control that sharp mouth of his.)
Dylan quickly nudged him.
Ethan: "What?"
Dylan used his eyes to discreetly point at Elin.
Dylan: "Look what you did!"
Ethan's glance revealed Elin in a defeated state.
Without a word Dylan pushed him towards her.
Elin: "Moral support." Elin quickly admitted.
Elin: "I am as useless as Miwa."
Ethan: "No no. It's my bad, that came out harsher than intended but seriously how did you get the system?"
Elin: "I have no idea."
Ethan: "I am pretty sure exp is divided based on contribution, I think."
Elin: "Well I did help you set up the wires."
Ethan: "That counts??"
Elin: "Maybeee? I can't think of anything else."
Ethan: "Ok. Let's forget about that. What class did you pick?"
Elin: "Priest."
Ethan: (Nice. We have a dps, a support and a all rounder. Now all we need is a tank.)
Ethan: "What are your stats?"
Elin: "Hp is 100/100, strength 4, defence 8, intelligence 8, divinity 3/22 and speed 4."
Ethan: (Wow, her physical stats are shi–... Huh?)
Ethan: "Wait, what was the second last one, again?"
Elin: "You mean Divinity 3/22?"
Ethan: Sighed. "Yup, I didn't mishear it. She has a unique stat."
Elin: "Huh?"
Dylan: "Instead of divinity we have mana."
Elin: "What's the difference?"
Ethan: "That's is exactly what I'm trying to figure out. What about your skill."
Elin: "I have the skill Heal, Offering and Stat distribution."
Ethan: "Two skills, of course. Talk about special treatment. Now, let's head back to the hotel and so we can figure the rest out before we get jumped again."
