Chapter 1 - Chapter One: Beginning

Hall of judgement

The Hall of Judgement hung in the void between Andromeda's glowing planets, a massive structure of translucent crystal and swirling nebulae walls. This was where bigger cases were handled. In front of the people were five magnificent thrones symbolizing five magnificent leaders.

A Couzin (magical means of transport in Andromeda) floated at the entrance area, decorated with blue marble and crystals. On it was a group of people, nine in number, dressed in magnificent white cloud-silk robes with blue linings. They floated off the Couzin as it shrank in unison to the size of a ring and landed delicately upon the pinky of the youngest Yu sibling—the Eighth Sister, Ni Sha Yu, twelve years old.

"Yu jia zhansheng dao le! (The Yu family approacheth!) Rise, all ye gathered, and pay respect."

All the people looked at the door as the family entered. They wore sad faces. They moved to their places and sat in the congregation.

Golden light poured down from an invisible source above, hitting the five thrones like spotlights on a stage. Four galaxy's immortal leaders floated down to sit on them, resplendent and untouchable.

One of the thrones next to a lady was empty.

Craig, leader of the Arch Planet, spoke with commanding authority.

"Mr. Yu, thou art requested to take thy place."

Mr. Yu was among those who had entered in the Couzin. He was the head of the Yu Family.

"I won't, and my decision is final," he replied.

"Alright, let's commence. I am Craig, the lord of Arch Planet of the Andromeda. I therefore summon the criminal," one of the leaders spoke out.

At that time, another Couzin entered the place, with a guy dressed like the Yu Family kneeling amidst army men of Andromeda. They floated with him as his hands were tied behind him. They brought him forward, and he knelt before the leaders.

It was me.

I kept my head lowered as my hair covered my face. My hands were tied behind me, but I remained calm.

I could feel the eyes of everyone in the Hall upon me.

Craig spoke.

"Forasmuch as many grievous charges have been utter'd and laid against thee, the Hall of Judgement hath been call'd to rise in solemn counsel. As all within the Andromedan sphere do know, the Judge—that mystic tome wherein lieth the wisdom and decree of all justice—alone dispenseth judgement upon the souls of this vast galaxy. Therefore, Shreya, thou who art set o'er Jurisdiction's helm, take thy place and speak thy sentence in this matter."

Shreya stood and floated up, looking at me. I slowly raised my eyes toward her. She summoned the Judge. Red light in unison with blue light sparked in space, forming a book with an ancient cover. The Judge. Shreya opened it to see what the punishment was. I watched her expression change as she read. Then she closed the book with great force and fear. It vanished. "What be the sentence, my Lord Shreya?" Mr. Yu asked curiously in fear. Shreya looked toward him. "He hath been cast out from the realm of Andromeda," she replied in a faint cold voice.

My father's face changed in shock. I lifted my eyes toward the thrones. And I smiled. I knew there was nothing I could do. The Judge had the final say. "Without parley nor compromise, the Judge hath banish'd the High Immortal Dain Yu'er from Andromeda. Ho there, guards!" Craig called out. The soldiers seized me. I did not resist. They carried me outside the Hall. The Yu Family watched in sadness as I was taken away. Moments later, I was immediately shot out of the skies and space of Andromeda.

The galaxy disappeared behind me. I was gone. "We can depart, session closed," Craig ordered the summit. People began moving out of the Hall. "Guards! Seize them! Lord Yu hath refused to take his rightful place in the council; therefore, he shall be cast into the dungeon forthwith!" Craig spoke out. Mr. Yu kept calm and let the army of Andromeda take them. As the soldiers came next to them, a missile was shot towards the Hall of Judgement. "Haste ye! Preserve thy lives! Lo, the Elves approacheth anon!" one of the guards spoke out.

The Elves were the said-to-be rebels of Andromeda. When they knew that I was no longer in the galaxy, they knew it was their time, for I had been their only threat in the galaxy. "Father, what shall we do? We cannot suffer them to perish?" Young Seven asked Mr. Yu. "Yea, we cannot suffer them to perish: take ye your stations!" Mr. Yu roared. Young Six, Emma Yu; Young Seven, Fred Yu; and Young Eight, Nisha Yu took positions around the Hall of Judgement and created a dome-like protective barrier. First Sister, Monica Yu, attacked the Couzins of the Elves with Third Sister, Favor Yu. Fifth Yu Sister, Happy Yu, attacked all the flying missiles as she redirected some to attack the senders.

"Retreat!!" shouted the commander of the Elves. They all retreated, and there was some peace. "Assemble!" Mr. Yu called unto them, and they floated back to him. Looking at the soldiers, he said: "Cleave thou unto the truth, and not unto the command." Nisha cast her ring to create their Couzin, and off they went back to their planet, Sainth Planet.

Magnus

(Magnus is a place where the gods lived to watch over the multiverse.)

The gods were all puzzled after what happened in the Hall of Judgement. "Behold, the High Immortal Dain Yu'er hath been cast forth from Andromeda. Who now shall stand as guardian o'er those witless creatures, the Andromedians?" Afean, god of Intimacy and Decisions, asked. "But doth she ken that he hath suffered such chastisement? For verily, he is her chosen and most beloved," Sean, god of Water, replied.

Planet Sainth, Andromeda Galaxy

In the blue-marble-floored palace, the Yu Family appeared. "What happens?" Mrs. Yu, Debby Yu, asked. "Father, methinks we should summon her forthwith," First Sister inquired. "Thou speakest true; let us proceed forthwith," Mr. Yu accepted. They all held their hands, and white light orbited around them. It formed a figure of a lady in white cloud-silk robes like them. "Why hast thou troubled mine eternal peace?" she asked them. Mr. Yu replied, "Foremother, the High Immortal—" She intercepted him while speaking. "I know full well what hath befallen; yet, for the first time in all my days, his whereabouts eludeth mine eye." She paused. "Fear toucheth me, though not with the weight that presseth upon thee—for I am still steadfast upon the search." She disappeared, and the white light dispersed in the room as everything faded back to normal.

Mid Space

(This is the space between the galaxies.)

I floated unconscious through Mid Space. There was nothing around me except the endless darkness between the galaxies. Then I struck a meteor. The impact jolted me awake. I opened my eyes and regained control of myself. I looked back at Andromeda's orbits. For a moment, I stared at it. Then I looked away. I cared less. There was nothing I could do. I turned toward the opposite direction. From far away, I saw a tiny yellow light coming toward me. It grew bigger and bigger.

Then fire orbs came from it toward me. I dodged them. But they kept coming. I moved through the darkness, avoiding them as they rushed toward me. "What strange portent is this, that doth stir the heavens and vex the eye of the immortal?" I wondered. Suddenly, the strange creature zapped through me. It then levitated in the air like me.

"Who art thou, vile intruder, that darest set foot within mine blazing dominion?" the fire creature asked me. "Dost thou not ken the raiment I wear?" "So, thou art the High Immortal of whom the stars whisper?"

"Verily, it seemeth so… but what manner of being art thou?"

"I am the sovereign of the Mid Space, guardian of its sacred bounds. Name me Fury—Fire Fury, the flame that neither yieldeth nor dieth."

"Ah, well met, Fire Fury." I smiled.

"Thou smilest, though death standeth before thee."

"Fear not, I shall forgive thee."

"That be rude."

It attacked me. I dodged with a smile on my face. The more I dodged, the angrier it became. Then it burnt the hem of my garment. I looked down at it. My expression changed. I was angry. I created a formation of my copies around it. They surrounded Fury. Then, with great power, I attacked. The formation struck the creature. It exploded. But the force from the creature hit me so hard that I was thrown far away. The force pushed me out, far away from the Mid Space. My body continued drifting through the darkness. I became unconscious once again.

Planet Sainth, Andromeda Galaxy

At this same time, on Planet Sainth, Young Seven, who was also the Master of Beasts, was meditating. Suddenly, he felt the pain of the Fury. Monica saw Young Seven troubled and was intrigued to ask him,

"What vexeth thee, O Master of Beasts?"

"The Fire Fury is no more," he replied.

"No more! Who on Sainth can kill the Fury?"

"None. Knoweth I not. I am really troubled."

"Yet 'tis impossible; the guardian of the Mid Space cannot so simply perish."

At the same time, Mr. Yu called all of them to go on with the meditation. They all levitated in the air, cross-legged, while their eyes were closed.

High Places (Kunlun Shan)

In a palace with a fire-marble floor, a man sat upon a throne with a young sun lighting behind him.

"The world is welcoming him again. No one should know his whereabouts. I will retain them to myself," he said.

The dragon statues in front of his throne on either hand lit their eyes with a bright yellow light, confirming his words.
