"That piece of crap Constantine opened a teleportation gate for you, right?"
Su Ming chuckled and shook his head, as there are only a few people in the Magic Realm daring enough to go against him now.
Batman smiled without speaking, clutching his forehead and desperately gripping the top of his helmet, as if trying to tear off his scalp through it.
"Cough! First, give yourself a few shots, I don't wish to rehash old times with the Joker." Su Ming coughed, pulling out a bottle from his pouch to wet his throat.
Batman closed his eyes, not reaching for the laughing gas antidote, but instead suppressing his madness with sheer willpower: "I've tried every antidote, none work anymore, so I don't have much time left."
"Seems like you're here for this room, not me, Constantine just sold you a one-way ticket." Su Ming smacked his lips, the alcohol made him feel a bit better, regaining most of his mobility.
"I need a place free from disturbances to have a good chat with the Joker. It's not an illusion; he's alive inside me." Batman raised the bottle of Can Luo in his hand, implying the kind of 'talk' he meant requires the help of a Psychic: "But likewise, I have a few questions to ask you."
"When are you going to settle your debt with me?" Su Ming instead asked first.
"If our world still has a future." Batman approached the wall, leaning against it and standing beside Su Ming, then slowly sliding down to take the position Su Ming had occupied earlier: "Now tell me, why did you make the world undergo dimension reduction?"
"One dimension is a point, two dimensions are a line, three dimensions are reality. To defeat Papetua, it must be done in reality, because that's how the Great Eagle sealed her back then."
Su Ming answered calmly, events had reached a point of no return, no need for more secrecy.
"I see..."
Batman nodded, sighed deeply.
The intelligence Barry obtained through Divine Speed was known to all, but only Deathstroke realized the key point: when Papetua was sealed, there was no Fourth Dimension in which everyone lives, so naturally, she was defeated in the Third Dimension.
Now, including himself, everyone's been trying to find solutions in the Fourth Dimension, how could they possibly find one?
"It's just later, those three idiots, the Watcher, Anti-Monitor, and World Forger, couldn't agree on restarting the Third Dimension, instead they overlaid it with the Fourth Dimension. Now there's a problem with the Fourth Dimension, the Forger wants to repeat his mistake in the Sixth Dimension? Forget it, no matter what you all think, I have no intention of playing along with his games."
Su Ming sneered, hoisting his Great Sword.
"Looks like you've prepared well, you set up a Protective Array on Earth to ensure our universe won't be impacted during dimension reduction. When did you know it was related to dimensions?"
"This." Su Ming extended a finger, lightly flicking the Jester Badge on his chest: "From the first moment I saw that person and realized he transcends the concepts of time and space, I knew everything in this Multiverse was connected to dimensions."
"That person..."
"Yes, that Blue Man. Setting up the array is partly to guard against an invasion by Other-Dimensional Demons, but mainly to create a protective barrier and buffer between our Monistic Universe and dimensions, that's the principle behind the Protective Array. Like encasing a fruit in a rubber bouncing ball, it prevents bugs from boring in, and protects the fruit from breaking when it falls."
Batman squinted: "Dimension Reduction."
"Yes, I didn't think I'd have to use it so soon, but given Papetua's presence, transitioning to the Third Dimension is a necessity if you ever want to connect with the Super Universe or even the All-Powerful Universe."
Su Ming pressed his palm downward, mimicking a gesture of smoothing over a chasm.
"You really are... never mind, I understand." Batman opened his mouth, but swallowed back his words.
"Only in your current state would you listen and trust me, the Joker toxin is quite useful." Su Ming squatted down, handing the bottle to Batman: "What happened to Selena was an accident, not part of my plan, the Joker's unpredictability is too strong. Although she can be resurrected, I've helped you find Thomas to make amends."
Batman didn't mind, directly unscrewing the cap, taking a swig and letting out a satisfying sound, with laughter suppressed in his chest, making a rumbling noise.
Why would a Bat make a sound like a cat?
"I'm still thinking of a harmless way to resurrect her, but it seems you already have a plan." Batman rubbed against the wall as if his back itched, his mouth twitching constantly.
Su Ming nodded, stood up: "When the time comes, use higher dimensional powers to resurrect her, though you'll need the help of a few others..."
Hearing this, Batman shivered, gradually calming down.
"I was going to tell you about Luthor's latest actions, but seems it's unnecessary, he's just stirring up trouble in a fishbowl, while you're the hand holding the bowl."
He closed his eyes, lightly patting his knee, as if applauding:
"That means the Troublemaker's drawing board is in your hands, you're luring Papetua into the Third Dimension for a convergence with the world, just like she once fused with our Multiverse from the outside... and then you'll strike a killing blow from a higher dimension, you really do have patience."
Su Ming shrugged, smiling: "Though I'd love to tell you what it's like for Deathstroke to be motionless in a swamp in Vietnam for a month, now is not the time. We need to make Luthor exert himself, ensuring the world approaches his vision of infinity, that's when Papetua will move to transform it into a weapon, and then our opportunity arises, likely in just a split second."
"That's enough." Batman wiped his mouth: "Well done, heh, cough cough..."
"Yuck~~~!" Su Ming made a disgusted face, stood up and walked towards the door: "Leave the dimensional issues to the Supreme Mage, you have a good talk with the Joker, a couple constantly at odds is no good..."
"Wait!" Batman stretched out a hand like Kang.
"Speak." Su Ming turned his head, letting Batman continue to admire his broad silhouette.
"If, if I completely lose control, you have to kill me." Batman's face twisted fiercely, but he still forced himself to say it: "I mustn't become a monster like the Laughing Bat."
Su Ming sighed, slowly pulling the stone door shut: "I believe you won't, but I promise, if you go utterly mad, I'll personally blow your brain out... goodbye, Batman."
"Goodbye, Deathstroke."
Accompanied by the closing door, two voices seemed to emerge from the darkness it enclosed, one very serious, the other completely nonchalant...
