Chapter 874 - Chapter 829: Mad Struggle

At the edge of reality, in an unobservable framework, a spacecraft resembling an Italian dough stick with two short wings was turbulently advancing.

Perhaps the cosmic environment was too complex, or maybe the pilot's skills were inadequate; either way, the spaceship was shaking terribly as if it might fall apart any second.

Sitting in the pilot's seat, Barry clearly felt this way. If one could operate an aircraft through facial expressions, Barry's grimacing face would make him Earth's ace.

"There's cosmic debris everywhere here. If we make it back, remind me to research an AI to assist the spaceship."

Clark stood with his arms crossed behind Barry, feeling a bit more at ease than Barry because with The Flash's reaction time, he could perfectly avoid any dangerous meteors, albeit at the cost of being fatigued.

"Focus, Barry. The closer we get to the Wall of Origin, the more unstable the spatial structure becomes. You know the Javelin wasn't originally built for a cosmic journey."

The Javelin shouldn't even be capable of flight because it was confiscated from Black Manta.

Actually, it was a submarine.

At most, it could surface and be used as a speedboat. After Manta Ray was captured, Luthor wouldn't bother retrieving Black Manta's junk because he didn't care about its technological value.

But the Justice League now wanted to head into the cosmos, and their options were limited.

Given that the Hall of Justice was now in ruins and Batman's cool gadgets had all disappeared, and he was currently missing.

After Star Hero proposed repairing the Origin Wall, everyone struggled for a suitable vehicle since not everyone could fly in space, and there was an urgent need for a spacious area as a mobile base.

Communication, contact, logistics; all these meant they needed to bring many secondary heroes into space.

They needed a spaceship, but the damaged Qiongji from Barbatos was still far from being repaired, with a significant technological gap that couldn't be resolved.

Fortunately, Barry remembered that the Justice League previously confiscated Black Manta's submarine, which was large and spacious, and built with meticulous craftsmanship, leaving room for improvement.

Since they never got around to addressing it, after the last battle, it was parked at Ci'en Port, perfectly avoiding the nuclear blast.

Thus, while Star Hero went to contact help, Superman and The Flash modified it. The Flash handled the software and instrumentation, while Superman did the heavy lifting.

Needless to say, only the combination of Barry and Superman could transform a submarine into a spacecraft within a few minutes.

Of course, probably only the Justice League would dare to fly such a thing into space, even if it was shakier than a tractor.

However, amidst the busy and serious Justice League members, a not-so-harmonious individual joined them. Dressed in black and yellow armor, hugging his Nightfall Greatsword, he leaned against the rear instruments feigning sleep.

Not far away, Batgirl Barbara poked around here and there, exploring the principles of Black Manta's equipment.

At the spaceship's entrance stood Ron and Megan, the uncle-nephew pair. Megan wanted to ask Ron what happened on Mars, but Ron kept a straight face, telling lies while constantly refusing Megan's mind link.

Stuff involving Luthor was something Megan obviously couldn't understand.

To guide the Justice League who had never been to the Origin Wall's breach, Hal had sent Kael Renner, who was currently explaining to Star Hero the Lantern Group's progress over the past month.

Outside the spaceship's porthole, terrifying corpses drifted by occasionally. Some giants that detached from the Origin Wall were now killed, their broken remains wandering the Star Sea like comets.

The pitch-black cosmic space resembled the night sea, and soon, they would all disappear into the long river of history.

Regarding the Lantern Group's progress, Star Hero was also aware, but he still politely smiled and listened to Kael repeat the known information.

Not because he was very patient, but because the Lantern Group's progress was indeed too little.

No matter how Kael emphasized the bravery and sacrifices of the five major Lantern Groups, when faced with the outcomes, those sacrifices seemed wasted.

Since the Origin Wall broke more than a month ago Earth time, the thousands of Lantern Heroes guarding the line here managed to eliminate the statues detached from the wall, but failed to repair the Origin Wall.

Not to mention the Totality suddenly emerging from it, and the crack on the wall growing even larger.

In less than three minutes, Kael was already out of words, and the two fell into a mysterious silence looking at the scenery outside.

With the Pentagram Teleportation Gate, the entire spacecraft advanced quickly, but along the journey, the atmosphere onboard remained peculiar.

They had heard Star Hero's plan, but almost everyone, even the once optimistic Barry, was skeptical of its success.

Yet Ron supported this operation, seemingly with a sense of trying anything in a desperate situation.

When Su Ming and the Seven Deadly Sins were arm wrestling on Earth, when Batman's game reached level thirty, the Justice League's journey would reach its end.

In the vast cosmos, it seemed like a light, gradually turning into a line, and after the final leap, it became the entire world.

No one knows how it appeared before their eyes, nor does anyone know where its edge is, whether it has upper and lower margins, but every creature in the universe, regardless of the language they speak, knew the moment they saw it that it was called the Wall of Origin.

Even before the first creature formed its first thought, it stood there, seamless, boundless.

This is a wall surrounding all things in the world, simultaneously preventing others from peering into the secrets that might be hidden outside the wall.

For billions of years, creatures attempting to pass through the wall would become its components, accompanied by an innumerable army of giants, seemingly part of its fabric from the day it existed.

But this was before the invasion of the Dark Multiverse. As the strong resonance of X Metal rang out, the wall shattered, and a terrifying force once sealed within the wall was unleashed, traversing time and space to reach Earth, awakening perhaps the long-concealed Seven Powers of Creation in the universe.

For a month, members of the five Lantern Groups have been using their power to maintain the wall, thereby preventing their reality from becoming fodder for the endless void and chaos outside the wall.

Because deep within every creature's soul is a profound understanding: if the Origin Wall truly collapses, then everything within the wall will follow in its footsteps.

For the Justice League, many of them were seeing this miracle for the first time, something they had previously only seen through telepathic images and holograms.

It emanates a terrifying aura, making them feel as if their eyes are about to ignite, with something constantly vibrating in their brains.

All of this tells them that they are about to undertake an action that can be considered a desecration of the entire cosmos.

In response, everyone turned their gaze away.

But Hawk Woman Kendra did not; her eyes, like those of a raptor, were firmly fixed on the target, and she felt the wall seemed to call to her, a feeling that made her want to scream.

"What's wrong?"

Ron's telepathic link connected to her, a gentle voice ringing in her mind.

During the days of house arrest in Sena Gang, their relationship had advanced by leaps and bounds, with an ambiguous atmosphere occasionally appearing inadvertently.

Many people think Hawkman and Hawk Woman are destined pairs, reincarnating together every time, but in reality, life is not a princess and prince fairytale. From 100 BC to now, they have reincarnated over seventy times, and the times they could live together as spouses only numbered a little over twenty.

Often, they were just young men and women meeting for the first time, not yet having accessed memories of their past lives, before being hunted down and killed by Wildman Wanda.

So, in this life, it seems Hawkman and Hawk Woman can only be friends.

Su Ming first saw Hawkman as a dark monster, and then he was bedridden as a plant, before seeing Hawk Woman and noticing the unusual between her and Ron.

At that time, Su Ming felt as if he heard the tune of "Ten Years." DC has changed so much in these last ten years; what on earth is Manhattan's blue-glowing head thinking?

Ron noticed Kendra's solemn expression, so on one hand to avoid Megan's entanglement, and on the other to deepen his feelings with Hawk Woman.

"No, I'm not okay. My soul feels like it's boiling, and I'm desperately trying to suppress myself from screaming."

The image of the wall outside the window formed a distorted reflection on her helmet visor, and the faces of those giants seemed to be in grief.

"Should I be worried too? I thought this was foolproof." Megan's mind link suddenly interrupted, easily sensing as Ron and Kendra communicated.

Ron turned his head, irritably, looking sternly at his niece: "Megan, eavesdropping on others' thoughts is very impolite. Your education shouldn't let you do this."

"Sorry, Uncle Ron, everyone's thought fluctuations are so intense, I'm finding it hard not to be attracted. I just got a little too excited."

Megan apologized, but her mischievous gaze flickered back and forth between her uncle and Hawk Woman, her little eyebrows trembling, indicating she understood everything.

She followed into the cosmos partly to repair the Origin Wall, but mostly to probe into her uncle's love life, to see if she was going to have a new aunt.

For young people becoming superheroes is not only about helping others and saving the world, but also because it's cool and attracts romantic attention, making it easier to find a partner.

And the reality is just that, aside from the Seven Giants of the Justice League, most of them seek relationships outside their circle, while second and third-tier heroes prefer to develop relationships within the Justice League Community.

The dining hall of the Hall of Justice always feels like a dating show, but, alas, now it's all gone.

Hawk Woman saw Megan's suggestive gaze, she threw a silent glance at Ron and turned and walked away.

Kids these days are just hopeless, especially those from Mars.
