Chapter 717 - Chapter 676: Strangulating Relatives

Su Ming stretched the parasite in his hand like ramen, indeed it was like a symbiote and didn't break, but changed its form, like clay.

Physical means had little effect on it, because even if it was cut in half, it was like a worm; both parts survived.

"A parasite, huh..."

Palham clenched the insect in his hand, and a stench of burning spread instantly. The insect had no resistance in his hand and instantly turned into charred kindling, with shattered ashes fluttering to the ground.

As expected, it's still a symbiote, still afraid of fire.

"Burn the bodies here, these new vampires are all parasitized. When the host's body dies, the parasite will crawl out from the nasal cavity and fly away looking for a new host."

Su Ming gave Palham a new task. Like zombies, these bodies can only be at peace by burning them. The Evil Spirit Knight handled the bodies in the ballroom, and Satanah wisely went back to burn those in the hall.

"Now we must deal with King Vani quickly and destroy his research." Su Ming said to Hel.

Hel shrugged indifferently, "I thought you truly didn't care about ordinary people's lives."

"If a few billion people die, I indeed wouldn't care, but if it's human extinction, I'm definitely going to get involved." Su Ming sat on the sofa waiting, putting his legs up on the coffee table.

The critical area now is only the basement left. Generally, vampires' residences are underground, sleeping in coffins.

And now, Su Ming couldn't say how many of the new vampires have run outside, maybe even mingling with humans in the city.

Possibly someone's husband or wife, or parents, or children, were fine but suddenly appear by a loved one's bed in the middle of the night, biting into their neck with great relish....

Just thinking about someone around possibly turning at any moment would surely create a day-to-day panic, resulting in societal collapse, and if the government notices but can't control it, they might resort to using nuclear bombs again.

"I'll go upstairs and check." Seeing that Deathstroke seemed deep in thought, Hel proactively left.

Su Ming didn't stop her but just to be sure, cut a few more 'watermelons', confirmed each had insects, then silently watched the flames burn while leaning against the wall.

Palham directly cast a burning lasso, gathering bodies and heads into a pile, then breathed out flames to ignite them.

At that moment, he, too, just watched the fiery pile quietly, listening to the crackling sounds, wondering what he was thinking.

Perhaps recalling his days camping in the desolate Gobi Desert, with only a horse and some foul-tasting canned yellow beans.

Or perhaps thinking of a lover who died in the flames.

All Evil Spirit Knights harbor immense pain, and that pain is their fuel, igniting the flame of revenge.

"Disgusting." Satanah returned with a grimace, shaking green slime off her hand. "Some of the corpses outside had parasites come out; I saw them trying to fly away and had to catch them, but I ended up exerting too much force."

"I know what you're going to say." Su Ming tossed her a rag to wipe her hands. "Are you going to say they look like condoms filled with green jelly?"

Satanah gave him a disdainful look, threw the rag on the ground after wiping her hands. "Disgusting, don't even think about sleeping with me tomorrow."

This joke was quite funny indeed, Su Ming laughed as he drew his weapon and led them to find the basement. "As if we arranged it."

Satanah laughed and lunged over, hugging one of his arms, moving along while rubbing soft things against him. "Really don't want to?"

"Never thought about it." Su Ming spoke honestly.

Suddenly, it seemed like Satanah was struck hard, slumping down with drooping shoulders, even her chest seemed to shrink a size.

Hel rejoined the team at this point, curiously glanced at the female demon, then turned her gaze to Su Ming. "The stragglers upstairs are dealt with, I tossed them into the Netherworld's fireplace."

"You need to tell Fenrir, they shouldn't be eaten." Su Ming added, the gluttonous wolf was too dumb, just like a husky.

"It doesn't eat cooked food." Hel's tone was flat.

The four wound their way through the castle, flickering candlelight, and maze-like corridors made the atmosphere even eerier.

After searching the lowest point, they finally found a golden door hidden by magic, adorned with complex designs, layers of family crests piled upon one another.

This door, at the moment, resembled a wall, separating the inside and outside into two worlds.

"Is Vampire heraldry opposite to humans? Shouldn't the simpler the crest, the purer the bloodline?" Su Ming asked those beside him.

Unfortunately, no one answered, even a rejuvenated Satanah shook her head indicating she didn't know.

When a Vampire Hunter is needed, they aren't around, meaning some questions have no answers. Su Ming shrugged, then abruptly kicked the door open.

The golden door bore a deep footprint, the whole door twisted and flew out, raising a large cloud of dust in the distance.

Behind the door was a downward-sloping passage, an ink-black mist shrouded everything, after the loud echo faded, only a dead silence remained.

"Flames, forward."

Su Ming, without wasting words, ordered the two in their team with Flame Ability to unleash their powers into the passage. Normally, even if it seemed dark below, one could just walk in.

But Vampires possess a misting ability, they can turn into a mass of black mist, enabling high-speed movement or evasion of physical attacks.

At this moment, the mist-filled passage wasn't just dark, but full of countless hidden vampires!

In response to such a situation, using flame abilities immediately is most effective. Though Su Ming doesn't have this ability, it doesn't affect the team's tactical judgment.

Understanding every member of the team, knowing their styles and abilities, is the basic foundation for leading operations.

The Evil Spirit Knight's flames were the fastest, not needing to cast or chant; just opening its mouth to unleash a Fire Dragon, sweeping like a flamethrower.

Satanah's casting speed was a bit slow, but her flame magic packed more punch.

When the flames descended, heart-wrenching screams echoed from the black mist, sounding peculiarly eerie; even vaporized vampires, without mouths, could scream out.

The shrieks and wails lasted several seconds before fading gradually, the heat wave in the passage made the two women's hair flutter continually.

"Proceed with caution, the basement's foes seem to be genuine Advanced Vampires, unlike the counterfeits outside." Su Ming transformed the Godslayer into a shield, cautiously stepping into the darkness.
