Chapter 590 - Chapter 552: Hydra Assault

Sif was the first to recognize Thor, despite his armor and cloak being charred black, making him look like he'd been out mining coal.

But the shape of his features and the hammer in his hand still made the few of them understand what was in the fireball.

"Thor!" Vandar dropped to his knees, abandoning his thin sword, desperately patting the remaining flames on Thor's body, "You can't die! What are we going to do if you die?!"

Hogan took off his hat, as if in mourning, "Take him back, bury him, he's burnt."

He was adept at using the nail head hammer, and his speech carried a strange rhythm, like he was hammering people.

"You guys carry Thor out, I'll cover the rear," Vostag patted his shield, his already large frame spreading his arms and legs, blocking quite a bit of the firelight.

Loki squeezed into the crowd with a look of exasperation, didn't they see Thor was just staring blankly? His eyes so large on that blackened face.

Seeing Thor struck into questioning his life, Loki's feelings were quite complex.

On one hand, he was somewhat concerned, as Thor was his brother, they grew up together, it was impossible to have no feelings. But on the other hand, he secretly felt pleased, Thor was usually too arrogant, often stealing his limelight, finally taking a hit this time.

"He's fine, just dazed." The thought in Loki's mind was not shown on his face, and he pulled a bottle of wine from his embrace, directly unscrewing the cap and pouring it on Thor's face.

The alcohol seeped into Thor's cracked skin wounds, the comfort from this made Thor sit up like he was resurrected.

"Ah! Loki! What are you doing!"

Thor jumped up, glaring viciously at Loki.

There was still some wine left in the bottle, Loki poured it into his own mouth, "Saving you, wasting a good bottle of my wine, you owe me."

"Look at you, owe! I'll owe you when we get back!"

"Great, you're okay, Thor." The Three Warriors immediately laughed again, patting Thor on the shoulder and head, expressing their excitement.

"Ah, blessed by Odin." Vandar picked up his weapon, breathing a sigh of relief, "Loki is just too petty, it's just a bottle of wine."

"Exactly, exactly." Vostag echoed repeatedly, looking at Loki with contempt.

Sif looked at Loki as if she wanted to say something but didn't speak, only giving him an apologetic glance.

Loki sneered, leaning against a rock face and drinking, too lazy to bother with these fools, their brains thoroughly corroded by alcohol and battle.

If it wasn't for him, Loki, Thor might have already been cremated.

Thor gritted his teeth and stood up, as they patted him, the alcohol flowed deeper into the wounds, but he felt completely revived, his whole body in pain.

Surtur's power was unexpectedly formidable; he barely saw what the opponent did before being knocked away.

But this wasn't the end, he still had chances, as long as he kept charging forward, he could definitely hit the enemy eventually.

After such deliberation, or relying on the instinct of battle to catch a breath, he immediately flew again towards the depths of the volcano.

...............

While Su Ming was fighting with Immortal Palace Warriors and Vanir Race, and Thor and the others were being single-handedly abused by Surtur, enemies also arrived at the end of Heimdall's Rainbow Bridge.

A large wave of Frost Giants.

Heimdall's expression was grave; Frost Giants are Asgard's arch-enemies, no need for conversation if seen within the kingdom, just slay them.

But the numbers were too many, and they looked entirely different from before.

It's known that Frost Giants have virtually no textile skills, usually wrapping a beast hide around their waists as a cover.

Jotunheim is perpetually covered in ice and snow; they always survive bare-chested, this is the habit of Frost Giants.

But now it's different; they wore large gray uniforms, even had turtle shell-like helmets on their heads, and held high-quality giant swords and knives.

Floating above their heads were small stones, hovering over each head, emitting a faint orange glow.

Among the Frost Giant ranks, there were also many Midgard People, similarly with stones floating above their heads, holding energy weapons.

"Someone is guarding." The human soldier reported to the rear of the squad.

"As expected, kill him." A voice came from behind, and Heimdall saw it was a thin human wearing a purple hood.

But the first to rush up weren't humans, but Frost Giants, swinging newly minted weapons, howling as they charged toward Heimdall.

Heimdall couldn't remember how many years he's been fighting with Frost Giants, these guys, despite having new weapons and clothes, still fought the old way.

That's to hack forcefully, hack again, hack again, anyway, either the enemy dies or I die, that feeling.

Thus, Heimdall sidestepped the incoming sword from the Frost Giant, his golden Great Sword swung horizontally, cutting the Frost Giant in half, guts spilling over the Rainbow Bridge's bridge surface.

Then he rotated his body, dodged the second Frost Giant's hack, stabbed the opponent through with the Great Sword, kicked off fiercely, watching as the opponent fell off the Rainbow Bridge, disappearing into the endless cosmos.

Heimdall's moves were grandly open yet carried a special rhythm, surrounded by several Frost Giants, still handling it with ease, eliminating them one by one.

"Tsk, wasting time, Hydra advance!"

A voice came from within the enemy's camp.

Blue energy beams suddenly rushed toward Heimdall like water being splashed, he raised the Treasure Sword in front to block his head, heart, and other vital spots.

This sword was made by Dwarves upon Odin's request, entirely of Uru Metal, exceptionally sturdy.

But his armor wasn't, encountering these blue lights, instantly turned into a honeycomb.

Heimdall's body softened, falling off the Rainbow Bridge.

"How about it? Giant, isn't human technology delightful?"

The man wearing a purple hood asked the Frost Giant leader beside him, his tone clearly carrying amusement.

The Frost Giant thought humans were weak and powerless; if it wasn't for the rune stone and its usage method in his hand, these blue-skinned fools wouldn't be able to form an alliance with them.

But now displaying force, the Frost Giants were convinced.

However, having lost the Cosmic Cube, Hydra's energy block reserves weren't much, Zemo took all his inventory, ready for a desperate gamble.

Without ammunition for guns, they might as well use fire sticks, but this wasn't necessary to tell the Frost Giants.

The Frost Giant named Giant was evidently the leader of this group; although he was the son of the Frost Giant King Laufey, he faced significant criticism for allying with humans.

In the end, only his trusted subordinates, about less than ten thousand, joined Zemo's ranks.

Zemo activated the teleportation gate of the gods' era using rune stones and ancient spells in Norway, connecting Earth with Jotunheim.

Some blue Giants emerged from the Teleportation Gate, the SS panicked immediately, only Hydra Soldiers showed no fear.

Zemo knew who he was looking for, and he was prepared, he deceitfully lured the Frost Giants and then connected with Giant.

This part of the Frost Giants joined Hydra.

Later, Giant altered the target of Earth's teleportation gate so that it directly linked to the Rainbow Bridge's teleportation array.

Hydra's target was some treasures within the Golden Palace.

And Frost Giants' target was to slaughter all Asgardians.

In this way, wasn't the cooperation prospect quite broad?

Giant walked boldly to the edge of the Rainbow Bridge, the new military boot-covered Big Foot kicked aside his comrade's leftover corpse, peering down.

Beneath the bridge was the limitless starry sky, Heimdall's body couldn't even be seen, seemed he was certainly dead.

"With the annoying Heimdall out of the way, I can move unobserved, but now that we joined your Hydra, when can my people get such weapons?"

The huge blue finger pointed at the Hydra soldiers.

Zemo laughed, gripping that finger with his palm, indicating Giant to stay calm.

He pulled out his Luger pistol from its holster, placing it in Giant's hand, "You see, the size isn't right, give it some time, we're modifying it, soon everyone will have it, our cooperation will always, always continue..."
