Chapter 1187 - Chapter 832: The Generous and Mysterious Wizard

"Since you think you'll be fine..."

Perhaps because Dumbledore is rather special, Professor Marchbank thought for a moment and nodded, "Alright then."

She then looked at Kael, reminding him, "Remember, once you go in, you mustn't make any noise or do anything unnecessary, otherwise you won't need to take the exam next year."

"Of course, I understand." Kael nodded with a smile.

Then, Professor Marchbank turned around, quickly walking into the classroom while muttering to herself, "Allowing an unrelated student into the N.E.W.T. examination room, I must be crazy to agree to such a request."

She seemed a bit regretful, feeling that her decision just now was too rash and quite against the rules.

After all, N.E.W.T. is considered the most important exam during a wizard's school years... If the results were skewed because of this unrelated person, it would be a significant dereliction of duty on the part of the invigilators.

So, under normal circumstances, they would certainly not allow other students to enter the examination room.

But why did she agree just now?

Professor Marchbank couldn't quite understand herself, but by then they had already entered the classroom, and she glanced once more at Dumbledore.

"Oh well, if it's this student, it probably won't affect him."

She shook her head, stopped thinking about it, and just followed the procedure to say to Dumbledore, "Next is the N.E.W.T Transfiguration exam, the task is human transfiguration, you need to change your appearance."

"Such a simple task." Dumbledore smiled confidently and then held his wand to his forehead.

Without uttering any spell, it seemed as though a bucket of water was poured over his head, Dumbledore's entire figure blurred.

In the next second, there were two Professor Marchbanks in the classroom, identical in appearance, height, and even attire.

"Oh, wonderful!" The real Professor Marchbank clapped her hands and picked up a piece of parchment beside her, drawing a large 'O' on it.

"Without a doubt, full marks."

"I must say, Mr. Dumbledore, you are the most outstanding student I've ever seen."

"The honor is mine." Dumbledore changed back to his original appearance.

"Well, your exam is now over." Professor Marchbank nodded with satisfaction, "The results will be sent to you in mid-July, now, go enjoy your holiday."

"Looking forward to seeing you next time, Professor." Dumbledore placed a hand on his chest, bowed slightly, and then exited the classroom.

Kael, who had been silent all along, quickly followed suit.

However, Dumbledore seemed to have forgotten about him, not turning around after stepping out the door, walking straight upstairs, probably heading back to the common room.

Kael ran a couple of steps to catch up to him and proactively said, "Thank you."

"What?" Dumbledore turned to look at him, and said politely, "Oh, it's nothing, hopefully, this experience will make it easier for you when you take the N.E.W.T."

"You've already helped me a lot." Kael said with a smile,

although he knew that Dumbledore was probably eager to find his friends and didn't want to talk too much with a stranger like him.

But meeting the headmaster when he was young was a rare experience, too fascinating to pass up, so Kael decided to shamelessly linger around.

"I just didn't expect Professor Marchbank to actually agree to let me observe." He said, "Under normal circumstances, that should be impossible."

"You did mention, under normal circumstances." Dumbledore said with deep meaning, "This result is the exam score I'm most satisfied with."

"So you used a Confundus Charm earlier?" Kael suddenly realized.

Only this reason could explain why Professor Marchbank uncharacteristically agreed to his request to observe the exam just now.

Using a Confundus Charm on an invigilating professor, especially during the N.E.W.T. exam, one must admit, young Dumbledore was really playful and quite bold.

Dumbledore didn't speak, only slightly curved his lips and winked, his handsome face coupled with this action made the eyes of several witches beside him go wide.

"Oh, right, I seem to recall you said you're a sixth-year student, correct." Dumbledore suddenly thought of something, "Which house are you from? I don't think I've ever seen you before."

"Uh..." Kael instantly became nervous, "I'm from Hufflepuff, maybe... you just didn't notice me."

"I see, no wonder, you Hufflepuffs rarely appear elsewhere outside of class hours."

Dumbledore nodded, actually believing the reason Kael had made up on the spot.

"Although it may be presumptuous to say so, some of the headmaster's decisions are indeed a bit absurd, I have always thought that the four houses of Hogwarts should be equal, and shouldn't be categorized into different ranks.

"Of course, we Gryffindors aren't much better either."

He glanced at Kael, shook his head, "Sorry, I've been talking too much today, and you don't have to thank me, I just had my own motives and happened to help you a little.

"If you don't have any other matters, I'd like to head back to the common room first."

"Of course." Kael moved aside.

Although chatting with the young Dumbledore was fun, this much was enough, if it went further, Kael was worried he might notice something.

After bidding farewell to Dumbledore, Kael was also ready to leave. In this situation, leaving through the main entrance was most likely impossible, if caught, it would be troublesome if it was discovered he wasn't a Hogwarts student, he'd have to find another way.
