"Neighbor?"
Fred looked at the witch not far away, pondering seriously, but couldn't think of having such a neighbor.
It wasn't until George reminded him that he realized this was Godric's Hollow, not Ottery St Catchpole, so of course he hadn't seen the neighbors here.
"Should I invite her in?" Fred hesitated for a moment.
Because of the Fidelius Charm's protection, the witch should only see part of the wedding, the parts outside the magical area, and to participate, someone would need to tell her the exact location.
But he didn't know this person well, so he was a bit unsure.
"Oh, it's an honor to meet you, Ms. Bathilda Bagshot!"
At this moment, Mr. Weasley, who was in charge of the watch, also noticed the situation and hurried over with Sirius.
His actions also attracted the attention of more people, and everyone turned their heads to look over.
"Bathilda Bagshot?" Ron scratched his head, "Sounds familiar, why do I feel like I've heard that name before."
"If only you didn't sleep during class." Hermione glanced at him, "You'd know she's the author of 'Magic History.'
"Oh, I remember now." Harry next to him slapped his thigh, "No wonder, I saw her name on the book list."
"But Hermione, you can't blame us, no one can stay awake in Magic History class; I dare say even you can't."
"At least I've read the book." Hermione blushed slightly and glared at the unified Harry and Ron, "Unlike you two who, after six years, didn't even know who wrote the book."
This time, Harry and Ron fell silent.
Hermione couldn't be bothered with them anymore and looked again in the direction Mr. Weasley walked over to, muttering softly, "However, she really does look like a witch."
"What nonsense are you talking about," Ron said, "She's a witch, after all."
"No, I mean she looks like a witch in Muggle stories.
"Hunched back, messy hair, and a face you can't see clearly—in some stories I've read, that's exactly how witches are described."
"Huh?" Ron couldn't understand, "But not all witches look like that; you don't."
"Thank you for your recognition," Hermione said crossly, "I of course know that, but Muggles don't. The witch they imagine looks like Bathilda."
"Is that so?" Ron instinctively looked at Harry.
"I don't know," Harry shook his head.
Although he lived with the Muggle aunt and uncle for eleven years, he'd never read the so-called story collection; that was something only Dudley could access, even thrown away, it wouldn't be given to him.
And with the family's aversion to magic, Harry didn't think Uncle Vernon would allow storybooks with wizards or witches in their house.
"But Hermione is probably right," Harry thought and said, "I heard Dudley say before that wizards are all freaks, and asked if I would turn into one too. I guess the reason for saying that is because the wizard image he's encountered is too awful."
"What about wizards?" Ron asked curiously.
"Wizards..." Hermione thought for a moment, "Probably like Professor Dumbledore, who always looks like a standard wizard wherever he goes."
"Luckily it's just their imagination," Ron glanced at Bathilda Bagshot again and couldn't help but pat his chest, "If it were true, it'd be too scary."
"Yeah, you're right," Harry agreed beside him.
Just imagine, if Hogwarts were full of Dumbledores and Bathilda Bagshots teaching, it would be quite intimidating.
"Why is she here though?"
"Don't know, probably attracted by the noise; after all, at this time, there are very few exciting things happening, right?"
While they were talking, Mr. Weasley and Sirius had already invited Bathilda Bagshot inside.
However, this witch, older than Dumbledore, had no intention of speaking to others; she just quietly stood there, watching them without a word.
To be honest, being stared at by someone like that was a bit uncomfortable.
"Did you confirm her identity?" Kai walked over to Mr. Weasley and asked.
"There shouldn't be an issue," Mr. Weasley said, "The Peeping Mirror Alastor gave me didn't give any warning, meaning she's not someone disguised with Polyjuice Potion... As for the Imperius Curse, we can't determine that yet, but we'll keep an eye out."
"Bathilda Bagshot is an old friend," Sirius said, "When James and Lily moved here, she helped them quite a bit and helped us escape from Death Eaters several times.
"Now she wants to attend Lupin's wedding, and there's no way we can refuse."
"I know," Kai nodded, "I just noticed her state seemed a bit off."
"Probably due to her age," Sirius said, "When we met Bathilda, she was already over a hundred, and now it's been another twenty years; it's normal for her to be a bit muddled."
"So was she always like this, not fond of talking?" Kai curiously asked.
