Chapter 1041 - Chapter 783: Godric's Hollow

The next morning, the weather was better than ever, neither cold nor hot, with the gentle breeze carrying a refreshing hint of dew.

Lupin and Tonks' wedding was not held at No. 12 Grimmauld Place, because there would be some people outside the Order of the Phoenix attending. For safety reasons, they certainly couldn't be allowed into the Phoenix's main base.

This was purely out of caution and not a matter of trust.

After a night of deliberation, they chose a house in Godric's Hollow that had been vacant for many years.

At five o'clock in the morning, the group arrived there via Portkey.

Looking at the unremarkable house before him, Sirius asked with a complicated expression.

"Moonface, have you really decided?"

"Of course, Padfoot," Lupin said with a smile. "This is the most suitable place, isn't it? Besides, being able to return here, I think Harry will be glad too.

"What I'm worried about the most right now is actually you, you..."

"It's fine with me, really." Sirius turned away and wiped his eyes with his sleeve.

He understood Lupin's meaning well because this was the Potters' home, the place where James and Lily lived, and the place where Voldemort killed them.

All this happened due to his misguided decision to change the Secret-Keeper.

Since being declared innocent, Sirius had bought this place, though he couldn't explain why, perhaps just wanting a memorial.

Sirius once thought he would never return here, but last night, while discussing the wedding venue with everyone, he somehow ended up mentioning this address, not realizing what he had just said until afterward.

Then, Ottery St Catchpole was immediately ruled out.

With almost no hesitation, Lupin decided on his wedding venue at the place where James and Lily once lived, and only then did Sirius come to his senses.

Now that he wanted to retract his words, it was too late.

"You've already made all the arrangements, haven't you?" Lupin patted Sirius and pulled him out of his reverie.

"Yes, it's all prepared." Sirius said instinctively, "Fidelius Charm, the Secret-Keeper is me."

"No changes this time, right?" Lupin asked with a smile.

"Absolutely not!" Sirius said firmly, as if speaking to himself or perhaps to another non-existent person.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Harry was staring dumbly at the beautiful house in front of him, with Ron calling him several times without response.

"I previously disagreed with choosing this place for the wedding," Mrs. Weasley sighed. "They didn't think of Harry's feelings at all."

"I believe, it's because they thought of Harry, that they chose this place," Mr. Weasley replied. "Harry is an adult now; he needs to face certain things, it's something he must face. He can't keep avoiding forever."

"Why can't he, he has friends, he has us, he's happy now, why must he remember those terrible memories?"

"Perhaps... Well..." Mr. Weasley was momentarily at a loss, unsure how to convince his wife.

Fortunately, Harry spoke up, saving him from his quandary.

"It's okay, Mrs. Weasley." His eyes seemed to flicker with something, and his voice became choked.

"This is great, truly great. I've dreamt of coming here... I've dreamed this for sixteen years."

"Oh, dear." Mrs. Weasley stepped forward and hugged him tightly.

"Alright, Molly." Kingsley approached and said, "Time is tight, the guests will arrive soon, we need to start preparing."

"You're right, only two hours are left." Mrs. Weasley then let go of Harry. "This time won't be enough, we should have arrived a few hours earlier."

"We need to ensure the kids get some rest, and we've only just gotten off work." Mr. Weasley said.

"Alright, let's get started." He shouted.

Sirius immediately took out the key and opened the door.

The group walked inside one after another, with Harry hesitantly stepping onto the front steps last.

"Come with me, you'll like it here." Sirius extended his hand.

Harry took a deep breath, his gaze becoming resolute, and he walked boldly into the room.

The house smelled strongly of mildew, yet Harry didn't mind at all.

Upon entering, he first saw a living room, larger than the Shabby Residence but smaller than No. 12 Grimmauld Place, though just as cozy.

A light blue sofa sat in front of an old-fashioned TV, of course, it seems old now, but perhaps ten years ago, this model might have been the latest.

Beside the sofa was a cabinet holding a broom.

"Nimbus 1500." Lupin walked over and touched the glass window on the cabinet. "An old broom model, but at the time it was the best. James rode it to win the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor."

Harry's eyes lit up.

He knew his father liked Quidditch too; the school's trophy room had plaques engraved with his father's name.

He desperately wanted to add one of his own but hadn't succeeded yet.

Since he enrolled, the Quidditch champion has always been Hufflepuff, and even the year before he enrolled, apart from the time it was canceled due to the Triwizard Tournament, Hufflepuff had won six in a row.
