Lupin was taken aback, shook his head, and didn't speak.
If Werewolves were that easy to deal with, why would Dumbledore ask him to reach out to them? Ultimately, it's a matter of capability.

"Enough, enough, I don't want to hear it." Suddenly, Sirius pushed Lupin away.
"I don't care what you thought before, but since you've made this decision, you can't go back on it, understand?
If you do, I won't let you off the hook, even if you're my best friend."
Saying this, Sirius gave Lupin another punch, but this time it was much lighter.
"I'm really happy for you."
"Thank you," Lupin said.
At this moment, the atmosphere in the room reached its peak, with everyone cheering.
Fred and George somehow got hold of several party poppers, filling the place with sparkling little snowflakes and fluttering Little Elves.
"Christmas leftovers." Fred casually handed Kai one, "Since it's not a formal wedding, it's all the same."
"I'm not surprised by that," Kai said, "I'm surprised that you actually have leftovers from Christmas?"
"What do you mean by that?" George said, annoyed, "Never mind, today is a happy day, so I won't argue with you."
With that, he pulled open another popper, this time releasing mini Fire Dragons and golden Christmas trees.
"You two, don't overdo it." Mrs. Weasley said with a smile, clearly not taking it seriously. She turned to Dumbledore, "Albus... why don't you stay today and join us for dinner?
I remember there's a good bottle of aged Flaming Whiskey in the basement, Sirius..."
"I'll get it." Sirius quickly ran downstairs.
"It's truly an invitation I can't refuse." Dumbledore said with a smile, "It would be even better if there's eggnog custard pie."
"Sorry, I didn't prepare any." Mrs. Weasley said, "But how about syrup and orange marmalade?"
Syrup, orange marmalade?
Just hearing this combination made Kai's teeth ache, but Dumbledore seemed quite pleased.
