Chapter 619 - Chapter 617: The Professor's Strange Behavior

"Conna, listen to me, if you have the time, you'd better take Snape to the Hospital Wing to let Madam Pomfrey have a look. I suspect he drank the wrong Magic Potion."

In the evening at the Hufflepuff Common Room, Kael was earnestly persuading, trying to get Conna to care more about Snape's situation.

But his good intentions didn't get any response. Conna was just busy doing her own homework, not intending to engage in conversation at all... Sometimes, when she was annoyed, she would even look up and glare at Kael.

"I'm serious," Kael said.

He's been at Hogwarts for five years now, from the first year to now, Snape has only deducted points from him. Every class was like that, without exception.

To be honest, Kael was actually glad that this time only one point was deducted, until he left the classroom and saw the resentful eyes of the Slytherins. He then realized that what Snape said wasn't about deduction, but addition of points...

Snape, who was addicted to deducting points, actually gave him points? Unbelievable!

Kael's first reaction was disbelief, such an unusual action, if not for drinking the wrong Magic Potion, then what?

So, he wanted to persuade Conna to take Snape to the Hospital Wing for a checkup. After all, snape could be considered Conna's only family, even if he didn't like Snape, he couldn't just ignore it.

But Conna didn't think so.

"What's wrong with earning extra points after excelling in the professor's requirements?" Seeing Kael still babbling on, Conna raised her head helplessly. "Professor Snape is just normally a bit strict, but this is an advanced class. The difficulty has increased significantly, so giving you extra points is quite normal."

"No, no, no." Kael shook his head frantically and thought in his heart:

"This situation would be fine with any other professor, but only with Snape, it seems strange."

Of course, he dared not say this directly.

And the peculiar things didn't stop there.

On the next day, Professor McGonagall also gave him thirty points in the Transfiguration Class, which was also quite rare.

Although Professor McGonagall is fair, usually to ensure the various house points don't differ too greatly, she mostly gives up to ten additional points in class.

Unless it is an especially rare new content of study, this score may increase, but nonetheless, thirty points is rare.

Adding these points to what Ubridge gave, less than a month into the school year, Hufflepuff had suddenly risen to first place in house points, and were leading second place, Slytherin, by over twenty points.

"Truly unbelievable." Cedric said as he looked at the hourglass full of gems in the auditorium, "Hopefully this ranking can be maintained until the end of the school year, then, our Hufflepuff could break Slytherin's record and claim six championships!"

Cedric looked somewhat hopeful in his eyes, as he will graduate next year, so he truly wants to see Hufflepuff fully decorated with honors, and do something for it.

For example, leading the team to win this year's Quidditch Cup...

If he can achieve that, it would not only yield a huge number of house points but also attain the glory of a five-time Quidditch Cup champion, totally a win-win situation.

"Hurry up, time for training." At this thought, Cedric felt his blood boiling and turned around to shout loudly: "We only have three hours of field usage rights, everyone bring your brooms to the pitch."

Saying this, he dashed out of the auditorium, regardless of the drizzle outside.

"Really, I feel Cedric is becoming more and more like the former Oliver Wood." Fred walked over and patted Kael's shoulder, suppressing his laughter while speaking.

"Yeah, the pressure on the leader is always great." George said, "Before Wood graduated, he was way crazier than this, wanting us to spend every night on the field, but unfortunately Professor McGonagall didn't allow it."

"But you still lost." Kael said with a smile.

Their faces turned black instantly, gritting their teeth and glaring at Kael.

Admittedly, Kael's words sounded harsh, but they couldn't refute that. Furthermore, the ones that broke their championship dreams were indeed Hufflepuff.

"Enough, you'll never have that kind of luck again this year."

"Harry won't get duped a second time!"

"We'll see."

Though they're good friends, when it comes to the Quidditch topic, there has always been only winning or losing, no friends.

"Will you guys be joining Quidditch again this year?" Kael curiously asked, "As far as I know, you've been busy tending to the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes."

"Developing products, stockpiling, selecting shop locations...these all require enormous time and effort."

"Ah, yes, but it's alright, participating in training three times a week can still be managed." Fred said while ruffling his hair.

Starting a joke shop was their dream, but when they started to gradually realize this dream, they found it to be quite troublesome.

Firstly, it's about the products; although they made many inventions, it still seemed wanting for a store.

Hence they needed to brainstorm more gadgets, whether they're popular is another matter, they at least need to have stock.

Zonko's Joke Shop has almost two hundred products, they can't be too far behind.

Moreover, there's the shop location, which is also a headache.

Sirius originally said he could help fix the shop location, but because of the Ministry of Magic, he's somewhat overwhelmed himself, he can't be distracted by this matter.

So the two wanted to handle it themselves.

They set the location in Diagon Alley, but the rent there is outrageously high.

Although they have money now, renting two shops is not a problem, yet those sparkling Galleons anyway, and saving is saving.

Lately, they've been discussing this matter, looking for a shop that's well-positioned but comparatively not too expensive... yet the results were not ideal.

But thinking about it, if such wonderful places exist, they would've been occupied long ago, how would it be possible for them to get it.

Thus they considered slightly boosting their startup capital, which would lead to suitable options.

This was a shop selling Owl Nuts, but now most people tend to buy a small snack whilst buying a pet, hence their business wasn't great, preparing to relocate.

But the location was really good, at 93 Diagon Alley, right next to Gringotts.

After the young wizards finish withdrawing money, their spending is usually lavish... especially in the few days before school starts.

That's why the two have been hesitant lately.

Luckily, they still have a year left before graduation, plenty of time to ponder.

Seeing Fred and George suddenly adopt a gloomy expression, Kael asked, "Need my help?"

"Ah, no need, we can handle it ourselves." Fred shook his head, then seemingly thinking of something, cautiously said: "Don't think of using this trick to get us to go easy on you, it won't work."

"Exactly." George raised his eyebrows, "No matter what, this year's Quidditch Cup won't be letting Hufflepuff have it again!"

"I'm the one who should say that." Kael said with a smile, and didn't pursue further.

Just then, most of the other players had already taken their brooms and left the auditorium, Mikel, at the rear, urged from outside, and Kael hurried to follow.
