Two officers walked side by side in the empty corridor.
"Did you hear? There's talk about someone sneaking over from the Satellite District recently." Officer A said casually.
Officer B was surprised: "Really? From the Satellite District? How did they get here?"
Officer A replied, "I heard they came through the garbage disposal channel... Quite a daring fellow, being just a lower-tier Satellite District resident, but certainly quite ambitious."
"Indeed." Officer B said, "When was the last time we heard someone wanted to come from the Satellite District? Wasn't it that Daedalus Bridge incident?"
"Oh, you mean the guy who wanted to jump over the Bridge? Just rumors fabricated by those lower-tier people, right? Is there really anyone naive enough to think building a bridge can leap over the Satellite District?"
Officer A scoffed.
"Sounds like a lie made up by Satellite District trash to fool kids..."
As they talked, they didn't notice the shadow silently approaching behind them.
The figure walked quietly up to them, extending both hands, one left and one right, pressing on their heads, executing a "headhunter slam." With a crisp bang, the two heads collided. As darkness fell before their eyes, they slumped, unable to react.
Yugen dusted off his hands, looking at the two unconscious bodies at his feet.
"You ought to thank me," Yugen murmured to himself.
Chatting so audaciously at Public Security Headquarters, if overheard by their boss Godwin, being backstabbed might be their best-case scenario. Worse, they might vanish without a trace tomorrow.
They had no clue that the fool trying to leap from Daedalus Bridge was their superior Godwin himself.
Few knew this secret; Public Security's highest officer Godwin was actually born in the Satellite District, the very man who attempted to build a bridge to leap from the Satellite District to the city, now regarded by the Satellite District residents as a symbol of resistance and freedom.
No one realized that this symbol of defiance had become the head of an oppressive establishment, nor did they know that the prestigious Public Security Director was a resident of the looked-down-upon Satellite District.
As Yugen proceeded down the corridor, he asked, "You all sensed that curious aura?"
A swirl of dark energy detached from him, forming a miniature apparition of "Evil God Eraser."
"Precisely." Eraser spoke gravely, "Though faint, it's unmistakably that presence. The Otherworld entity who initially found us, promising to release us from our seal.
That similar aura is definitely within this building."
Yugen pondered.
The being that deceived Evil Gods into breaking their seal was suspected by them to have ties with the previously vanquished Zok. Yet now, that familiar presence was here, in a dimension where Zok shouldn't exist, not in an era for Zok.
If true, this certainly seems like a historical anomaly.
"But quite unexpected, you three are willing to help me. I thought our relationship was still strained."
Yugen glanced at Eraser's apparition beside him.
Eraser scoffed proudly.
"Don't be mistaken; we're not aiding you," Eraser said icily, "Our issues remain unresolved."
As he spoke, his tone turned menacing.
"But if it's truly them, things also remain unsettled with them. This time, we intend to properly inquire about their true intentions."
With that, Eraser cast a disdainful look at Yugen.
"Don't flatter yourself thinking we're acting for you; our interests merely coincide. Nothing more."
Yugen chuckled, "Sure, no misunderstanding."
Continuing onward, now was already late, with office workers having clocked out long ago, leaving the Public Security Bureau rather empty, enabling Yugen uninterrupted passage.
Arriving at the office, he just witnessed the clownish Yego entering the room.
In the 5DS storyline, Yugen mostly remembers how Yego seemed significant early on, constantly trailing behind Big Boss Godwin, chuckling as though privy to all secrets, exuding depth.
Yet in the later part, when Godwin faltered, the revelation emerged that Yego knew nothing and excelled only at sycophancy, echoing any of the boss's words with feigned importance, appearing influential. However, regarding secrets untold by the boss, he seldom inquired proactively, focused on supporting his large family, merely working to make ends meet.
Yugen stealthily followed, soon hearing Godwin's voice.
"Get rid of him."
Yugen heard Godwin's voice.
"That man called Yusei Fudo."
This left Yugen slightly astonished.
Godwin ordering Yusei's elimination?
But Yugen recalled that Godwin's true intention was to gather five Dragon Sealers to battle the Dark Markers controlling Earth-Bound Gods. Ultimately, he wanted to merge both Dragon Sealers' and Dark Markers' powers into himself, surpassing godly might.
Eliminating Yusei Fudo, how would he realize this plan?
Indeed, history had started to deviate?
Yugen listened quietly for a moment longer, yet picked up no further valuable information. Minutes later, Yego left the office.
Shortly after Yego descended the stairs, not even a minute had passed.
Boom!
The wall was blasted open, seemingly by an invisible fist erupting from the officer's room, tearing through the whole corridor, precisely at Yugen's hiding spot.
Godwin maintained a raised arm posture, expressionlessly eyeing the wall breach, smoke wafting through the hole.
Yugen waved, scattering the dust before him, emerging slowly through the smoke. A clear Array had blocked the previous blast, quietly standing aside holding a Magic Staff, warily gazing at Godwin.
Godwin stared silently for a moment, slightly furrowing his brow: "You're not of this world."
Yugen met his gaze, speaking calmly: "Neither are you Godwin."
Godwin didn't rebut, merely raised his arm slowly. Duel Disc activated.
"No matter your identity, knowing what you do, today you won't leave here alive."
Yugen chuckled, raising his Duel Disc.
"You know, if every time someone said that to me, I'd earn a hundred bucks, I'd probably be rich by now... Oh wait, I might already be rich, never mind then."

Yugen said.
"My turn, draw."
"Set a monster in Face-down Defense Position, then set a card, turn ends."
Godwin: "My turn."
Motioning mechanically, he drew a card, then calmly played a card.
"Special Summon this card when the opponent has monsters on the field, while you have none.
Appear, 'Priest of the Sun'!"
