"Dark Realm's Mad King: Blom, attack 'Queen's Guard'!"
Dark Realm's Mad King: Blom is a well-known card in the Dark Realm series. It's not particularly strong in terms of versatility or outstanding performance. Its notoriety largely comes from its role in the animation.
It was pivotal in advancing the entire GX storyline, becoming the most significant turning point in Judai's journey.
In the anime, Blom kidnapped Judai's friends and engaged him in a duel. During this duel, Judai's friends were sacrificed one by one as offerings to the "Evil Heart Scripture," each affected by negative emotions due to its influence, plunging Judai into endless self-blame and despair.
Although Blom was eventually defeated and vanished, he fulfilled his mission before dying. As a result, Judai awakened into Overlord Judai, leading to the birth of the card "Super Fusion," representing the deepest darkness within Judai and possessing unprecedented terrifying dark power.
Of course, the world line has changed. In this current timeline, Judai never encountered Blom. During Yugen's conquest of the Overlord's dimension and his incorporation of the Dark Realm card deck, the Mad King has now been incorporated by Yugen.
The warrior guards shouted aloud and swung their swords to counterattack. Unfortunately, despite their numbers, their combined attack power was only 1700, and even if they all attacked together, they could only succumb to the Mad King's blade.

On the opponent's field, three Dark Realm monsters emerged at once, two of them high-level, making even Her Majesty the Queen feel a twinge of fear facing such an array.
She immediately flipped over her backfield: "Then I activate the Cover Card, Trap Card 'Precise Defense'!
When the opponent declares an attack, I select a monster from my graveyard with four stars or lower, and Special Summon it in face-up defense position!"
The recently retreated guards immediately crawled back from the grave, looking worn and disheveled, yet they unsheathed their swords, panting heavily as they stood before the Queen.

Indeed, the full-force attack from Dark Realm's Ghost God was completely blocked by these few individuals. The guards shouted hoarsely, defiantly using their bodies to withstand the destructive impact.
"While the Personal Guard is on the field, the opponent cannot choose Charming Queen as an attack target," the Queen said, "and the monster Special Summoned by the effect of Precise Defense cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects this turn!"
"An absolute defense through the combination of Monster Effects and Traps, huh." Yugen smiled. "This doesn't seem half bad."
The Queen took a deep breath.

As an elf, she considered herself knowledgeable in dueling. She had encountered strong duelists before, and faced them in combat, but someone who could make her want to hit them with just a few words was unprecedented.
"Then I set a card face-down, ending my turn," Yugen said.
Queen: "It's my turn, draw a card!"
She paused, glancing at her Charming Queen on the field.
"During the preparation phase of the turn, if equipped with a monster, Charming Queen LV5 can evolve into LV7.

The dark domain shattered, and the gates of the Dark Realm collapsed thunderously. Replacing the dark domain came a magnificent palace, splendid like a royal palace, surrounded by golden radiance entwining the dignity of Charming Queen.
"In this palace, Charming Queen's attack power increases by 500!"
