Chapter 1214 - Chapter 710: I Came to Destroy Along the Way

Bret Island.

Located in the first half of the New World, not within the navigation area, and far away from Magnetic Field Island.

Although the island is quite large, the land is barren, and despite the large population, they still live primitively, residing in straw huts and using stone tools.

This place was initially discovered by Hawkins, which took quite some effort, as there are almost no inhabited islands nearby, and the sea in this area is extremely treacherous, making navigation with normal ships almost impossible.

If it weren't for the completion of the exploration of the first half of the New World, no one would have come here, crossing such dangerous seas, passing around ten uninhabited islands, finally discovering an inhabited island.

Originally, it was thought that the O'hara population could be increased here a little, but encountered very stubborn resistance.

The local primitive chieftain and priests scattered across various tribes might not have advanced technology, but they possess very strong physical prowess, and the island's climate isn't great either, constantly battling nature, they've developed extremely strong bodies, and like Kuja Island, every person possesses Haki.

If it were just that, it wouldn't be much, even if not conquered immediately, it would ultimately be conquered, as in the New World, no force can rival natural disasters.

These guys would logically be a great source of soldiers and could even use this island as a place for trials in the future.

But the problem is, the island's primitives are cannibals...

The initial assault troops eventually discovered that the partners they sacrificed, including the ones they killed, were gathered by these guys and cooked into a pot of meat broth.

That can't be allowed.

The local chieftain's strength is quite good, reaching the caliber of a royal deputy, Weevil landed before and had a back-and-forth fight with the local chieftain, alarming Lily at the time, who was ready to personally intervene but was held back by Sage.

Places like this, obdurate and beyond redemption, are perfect for Sage to test his new abilities.

On this day, the sky is clear.

On Bret Island, as before, the primitives reside in the lush and dangerous jungles. This landscape shouldn't lack food, but the center of Bret Island has a huge river connecting to the sea. Whenever tides rise, the river floods, engulfing the island, making this only jungle location a disaster-prone area, naturally preventing any harvest.

As for outside the jungle, it's barren land, not as sandy as a desert but dry enough that nothing can be planted.

But for the island's natives, they've grown accustomed to it, having lived here for a long time, developing their own survival methods.

Those who can hunt animals will hunt them, no matter how fierce; if they die unfortunately, they become rations.

The weaker members of the tribe aren't qualified to be human, only raised as livestock, and once grown up, become rations.

In these constant mutations and survival conditions, even a mother would classify her children, the strong as tribe members, the weak as food.

But recently, they haven't needed to do this.

Last time, a batch of invaders left a lot of "food" after being driven away. Using special methods to preserve it, it became like jerky, temporarily alleviating food worries.

They're even considering whether people like them would come again, like that giant who fought with the chieftain, with such a massive body, surely supplying a lot of meat.

And those wooden ships that can sail the sea, if they could capture them, perhaps they could venture outside to find food.

Primitives merely lack technological knowledge, not intelligence.

They previously ventured out to sea, curious about what's on the other side, but the raging seas swallowed too many who attempted to sail on wood, and thus they dubbed the sea forbidden, abandoning the idea.

Yet the sudden appearance of that batch of people proved the forbidden sea was navigable, everyone harbored hopes, cutting down trees from the jungle to craft something akin to those people's equipment, building a "wooden ship" for sea navigation.

But it ends here.

Primitives carrying lumber, binding it with tough vines on the coast, constructing a raft, suddenly turned, noticing the clear sky abruptly darkened over the ever-waving sea.

Boom!

Lightning flickered within the clouds, stirring a tempest blowing ashore, the strong winds dispersing the well-bound wood, swept away with the huge waves crashing ashore.

Thinly-clothed primitives screamed chaotically, looking unanimously at a giant ship emerging slowly in the storm, faces excited, stretching their arms out, waiting for the ship's approach.

Compared to their found timber, that "wood" was clearly larger, sturdier, and more suitable for sailing!

Boom!!

But in the next instant, the sky sparked frightening lightning, thunder columns submerged the primitives on the shore.

Only the black giant ship on the sea remained, slowly approaching.

Inside the captain's room, Sage kept his fingers stretched out, observing the lightning-struck scene outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, his expression unchanged.

"Oh... So this is the island Hawkins found."

His pupils revealed a touch of crimson, "Quite decent strength, but a pity they're cannibals."

Observation detected a hundreds of thousands, except some clearly infantile auras, adult auras weren't low, quite robust in vitality, and sensed they likely all possess Haki.

A truly isolated island achieving this is already commendable.

"Sage, they're coming..."

Beside Sage, Lily glanced toward the island's center through the glass, where a black dot appeared rapidly advancing, vaguely humanoid.

"Is that the chieftain of this place? Pity, no time to play with him."

Sage stood, slowly heading outside, each step making the dot draw nearer, until Sage exited the captain's room, seeing upon reaching the shoreline a robust, wild-haired giant primitive with beastly features.

The primitive's pupils lacked human rationality, merely a beast in human skin.

"Exquisite build, muscular development is spot on, every part has excellent explosive power... Collision force is probably good too, no wonder he could fight Weevil evenly."

Sage glanced at him, smiled faintly, drew his right hand into a fist, pulling it straight back.

Dim white light began to appear on his fist, causing the primitive who jumped violently from the shoreline, Haki covering his body, to have his pupils contracted tightly.

"But this level doesn't matter, I'm not here to test your combat strength, just as a first stop..."

Sage grinned menacingly, "Destroy along the way!"

Bang!!

The fist shot out, cracks quickly spread from the strike point, filling every corner of the view, everything seen before was like a glass painting easily shattered.

Indeed, so it was.

Boom!!!

The first to fragment was the jumping primitive chieftain, twisting into splinters under the shock, followed immediately by the entire island, splintered entirely, even the surrounding ocean broken into pieces, either depressed or lifted, triggering towering waves engulfing the fragmenting island.

Soon, in front of Sage, only the violent sea remained, as if the island never existed.
