The committee office of the Manaro Arena.
The audience outside was already exiting in an orderly manner.
Ever since the sudden attack of the Ultimate Beast last time, when Natsuhiko commanded the evacuation of the entire arena, every dismissal at the Manaro Arena had been impressively orderly.
There was only Professor Oak in the office.
He was squatting on the ground, happily feeding three Pokémon while observing them, occasionally jotting down some data.
And these three Pokémon were exactly the Quasi-God Pokémon that were the highest rewards in this competition.
Dratini obediently ate the Energy Block handed over by Professor Oak, enjoying the flavor that bloomed in its mouth, occasionally showing a sweet smile, with its eyes curved.
Goomy appeared timid and small, even when Professor Oak brought the Energy Block right to its face, it merely shrunk its body, with its round eyes full of fear.
It wasn't until Professor Oak reluctantly placed the food on the ground and stepped back a few steps that Goomy carefully extended its tentacles, grabbed it back, and turned around to eat it cautiously.
Bagon looked a bit dazed as it watched Professor Oak hand over the Energy Block. It didn't reach out for it, nor did it avoid it.
Not until Professor Oak, quite helplessly, stuffed the Energy Block into Bagon's mouth did it begin to chew, looking somewhat adorably clumsy.
When Natsuhiko pushed the door open and entered.
The three Pokémon's reactions were all different.
Dratini blinked at Natsuhiko standing at the door, with pure eyes tinged with a bit of curiosity.
Goomy darted off to coil up in a corner, looking at Natsuhiko warily, but as its little nose twitched, a hint of confusion flashed in its eyes.
Bagon turned its head dazedly to look at Natsuhiko at the door, the Energy Block in its mouth not yet completely swallowed.
Its reaction seemed a bit slow, showing signs of panic only after a long while.
However, no one noticed that when it occasionally bowed its head, that frantic expression would disappear for a split second.
Seeing their reactions, Professor Oak looked a bit helpless, put away the Energy Blocks, and smiled at Natsuhiko:
"You're here."
"Professor," Natsuhiko greeted politely.
He took full account of the reactions of the three little ones.
"Hmm." Professor Oak nodded, "They want me to ask you when you want to make the announcement and when to have the ceremony of conferring the title?"
"I get to decide?" Natsuhiko expressed with a bit of surprise.
Professor Oak chuckled, "Their meaning is, they want you to release all the Fairy-type stuff as soon as possible."
With that said, Natsuhiko understood.
Although the Fairy Type had been announced, the known Fairy Types now only included Natsuhiko's and Hilona's Togekiss, leaving everyone else just to envy.
Even though Natsuhiko had already shared the awakening method for the Fairy Type.
The previously undervalued Tree Fruit for the Fairy Type skyrocketed in value too quickly and became scarce, as if someone was controlling the supply.
Occasionally, some would be released.
But there were too many monks and too little porridge; it wasn't nearly enough.
Whether it was the alliance or the mischievous organizations, they all wanted to seize the first Fairy Type's awakening bonus.
So, in the end, they needed to find a breakthrough from Natsuhiko.
"Just wait a bit longer," Natsuhiko shrugged.
He was in no hurry, after all.
Professor Oak didn't say much about it.
Research projects aren't something that can be finished quickly; as a researcher, he understands this better than anyone.
He only thought that Natsuhiko had to attend to competitions and research simultaneously, and it couldn't be fast.
"These are the three Pokémon?"
Natsuhiko once again directed his eyes toward the three little ones.
He also made a mental summary of his initial impression of the three little ones.
Graceful Dratini.
Adorably Clumsy Bagon.
Timid Goomy.
"Yes."
Professor Oak placed his palm on Dratini's head.
Dratini showed a docile expression.
Apparently feeling that this wasn't enough, Professor Oak tried to rest his other hand on Bagon's head.
However.
The dazed Bagon staggered nonchalantly and plopped onto the ground, leaving Professor Oak's hand to miss.
In response, Professor Oak merely chuckled.
But Natsuhiko squinted his eyes slightly.
He then looked at the coiled-up Goomy in the corner.
Noticing Natsuhiko's gaze, Professor Oak helplessly explained;
"That one is especially timid, every little noise startles it. Although Goomy's species naturally has a timid disposition, this one is particularly so."
Natsuhiko grinned.
"Each Pokémon has its personality."
As he spoke.
Natsuhiko crouched down, reached into his pocket, and took out some Top-level Energy Blocks.
These were originally Latios's rations.
The Top-level Energy Blocks, as pure and translucent as jewels, released a faint fragrance throughout the room as soon as they were brought out.
Seemingly quite appealing to the three little ones.
They all turned their attention toward Natsuhiko.
Seeing the Energy Blocks in Natsuhiko's hand, Professor Oak smiled and said:
"The allure of Top-level Energy Blocks is indeed different."
Even though he, Professor Oak, is the most authoritative researcher, heavily supported and assisted by the alliance, he couldn't possibly provide Top-level Energy Blocks for all Pokémon.
In his lab, most Pokémon are fed with Advanced Energy Blocks, with only a few requiring special care to consume Trait Energy Blocks.
Even with that, many researchers are envious beyond measure.
After all, the Pokémon in Professor Oak's laboratory are quite numerous.
