Otherwise, Lapras, which is extremely rare and even on the verge of extinction outside, has already gone out of control in the Alola Region.
Grab a bunch and sell them.
That both eases the Alola Region's problem.
And satisfies those Trainers outside who are desperate for a Lapras-type Pokémon.
And you can conveniently make a huge pile of money.
Three birds with one stone.
But with no way to do cross-region trading, making money becomes a rather troublesome thing here in the Alola Region.
Because.
The Alola Region actually has another nickname.
"The countryside of the Pokemon Realm."
A very primitive ecological environment, and the economy isn't developed.
Even later, after the Alola Region opened up, it was mostly positioned as a tropical tourism and vacation destination, without much development in economic trade.
This may have a lot to do with the lifestyle habits of the Alola Region's residents.
"Almost there?"
A voice sounded from behind Natsuhiko.
Walking up to the bow was Joanna herself!
Unfortunately.
Natsuhiko's last "waiting by the tree for the hare" plan didn't work out, so Joanna ultimately still didn't make it onto the competitors' list.
But not making it in isn't bad either; Natsuhiko directly invited her to join his team.
Add in the nine decent but average Hunters provided by Miss Q, and Natsuhiko's team was complete.
To be honest, Natsuhiko didn't have high demands for subordinates.
But when he thought about how they could handle a lot of trivial errands, he didn't turn them down.
Joanna, on the other hand, was a pretty good asset.
"Yeah."
As the thin mist over the sea gradually dispersed, the rough outline of Ula ula Island drew closer and clearer in their eyes.
Because the Alola Region lies farther to the south, it's hot, and the surrounding sea air is filled with a lot of fog generated by convection currents, so if you want to approach from the sky you can only follow the League's flight routes—otherwise it's actually more practical to come by sea.
"What's your plan?" Joanna looked at Natsuhiko.
Help Natsuhiko win a slot, then leverage his strength and the network of connections he'd gain with his rising status to climb up herself—this was already a fully settled plan in Joanna's mind.
So helping Natsuhiko was helping herself; Joanna understood this clearly.
What's more.
Joanna had already seen Natsuhiko "cling onto" Miss Q.
Unlike her, who had merely defected over and hadn't gained much attention, Natsuhiko had basically become one of Miss Q's trusted people.
So she was even more convinced of this plan.
She just couldn't help feeling some disdain, in her heart, for Natsuhiko's method of "clinging on" through male–female relations.
Nothing she could do.
No matter how Natsuhiko explained it to her, some things' first impressions really matter.
"I'll first go check out the situation on this island." Natsuhiko said.
Joanna nodded. "What about us?"
Natsuhiko glanced at her.
His tone was even as he said, "First, send people to rent a property on the island. No other requirements, just a backyard big enough—that shouldn't be hard. Then have part of the group set up a simple temporary Pokemon Breeding Farm. As for the rest..."
He paused for a moment, and his tone turned colder. "Have them investigate which other competitors have come ashore on this island."
Joanna's expression shifted slightly.
"We start off by hitting them?"
"It's not easy to make money here. The money snatched from those guys is still money, isn't it?" Natsuhiko said calmly.
Joanna's heart tightened.
She'd already witnessed Natsuhiko's decisiveness in killing back on the island.
And in her mind, she had already defined Natsuhiko clearly.
He's a lunatic, the kind who dares to do anything bold.
If things go his way.
All the money other people are making now might end up being his wedding clothes in the end...
She took a deep breath. "Got it."
