Actually, Obito had anticipated this scene for a long time. It's strange if a Fire Release Ninja like him could win against a Pure Body Technique Ninja in taijutsu.
Obito's main goal was to damage Might Guy's fists with the high-temperature flames on his own, in hopes of exchanging injury for injury to gain a slight chance of victory.
Staring intently at Might Guy's fists, Obito was surprised to find that, unlike what he expected, there were no burn marks, only a significant redness as if scalded by hot water.
"Using the Breath of Rock Chakra Mode combined with the most brute Chakra protection can achieve this level?" Obito couldn't help but twitch his eyelids.
He had heard Mokgetsu mention that the Breath of Rock Chakra Mode enhances defense, but he didn't realize it was this effective. If combined with the Armament Secret Technique, wouldn't you be fine bathing in ninjutsu?
"Leaf Hand Blade!"
Ignoring his slightly injured palm from the high-temperature flames, Might Guy gathered a large amount of chakra and suddenly swung a Qi Force at Obito.
"If you think you can take me down with this, you're overthinking it." Obito easily dodged the incoming Qi Force with his Three Tomoe Sharingan.
He was accustomed to facing Mokgetsu's Leaf Hand Blade, although Might Guy's wasn't bad, it was still far from Mokgetsu's level.
But Might Guy's attack was just a feint, and in the next moment, he appeared beside Obito.
"Orochinagi!"
Obito's stored flames erupted instantly, aiming to engulf Might Guy.
While dodging the Qi Force earlier, Obito secretly gathered chakra since Might Guy, although having some long-range attack methods, was stronger in close combat and preferred it.
His opponent was too strong, forcing Obito to consider tactical maneuvers.
"Konoha Dragon God!"
Whoosh!!
Might Guy's chakra burst forth as he spun rapidly, a green dragon quickly forming and charging through the flames to bite at Obito.
"Great Flame Ring: Flame Emperor!"
Obito, in retreat, poured all his remaining chakra into the final Fire Release.
With the aid of the Breath of Flame Chakra Mode, Obito quickly completed nature transformation with all his chakra, terrifying flames rising as a massive fireball appeared in his hands.
Flame Emperor is currently Obito's most powerful Fire Release, and the one that consumes the most chakra; in a single battle, he basically can only use Flame Emperor once.
Facing the terrifying incoming fireball, Might Guy chose to cancel the Konoha Dragon God for a rapid retreat.
Against Orochinagi, he could use the Konoha Dragon God and Breath of Rock Chakra Mode for a strong defense, but going against Flame Emperor's level of Fire Release head-on would be too reckless.
Rumble!!
The terrifying heatwave engulfed the entire area around Obito, turning it into a sea of fire, the ground charred and the trees reduced to ash under the intense flames.
Depleted of chakra, Obito sat on the ground, nodding in satisfaction at the scene; it didn't count as a bad loss since he also wounded Might Guy and only lost due to exhaustion.
"Guy wins." Mokgetsu announced the end of the battle.
"This Fire Release is quite youthful; if the speed were a bit faster, it would be even better." Might Guy, pulling Obito up, smiled and gave a thumbs up.
Even though he didn't hit him, Obito's final Flame Emperor's presence was indeed impressive.
"Haha, that's how Flame Emperor is." Obito laughed, scratching his head.
In Obito's view, Flame Emperor is like a super Great Fireball, with the same large range and power, but similar moderate speed, making it hard to hit people; they're almost the same template.
That's why Obito rarely uses Flame Emperor in real battles, generally preferring Fire Dragon Flame Bomb.
Since Flame Emperor consumes too much chakra and isn't worth it unless facing numerous enemies at once.
But with too many enemies, using that much chakra at once is risky on a crowded battlefield.
Obito realized that maybe only when he has enough chakra to throw Flame Emperor like a Great Fireball will it become a practical ninjutsu.
Standing tall, Obito walked over to Kakashi; although he lost, it was more impressive than Kakashi's loss.
Kakashi didn't hurt Shisui; he hurt Might Guy. Win!
Kakashi lost due to a strategic mistake, while he only lost due to exhaustion. Win!
Obito summed it up and found that compared to Kakashi, he won hands down.
"Kakashi, how did you get my camera?" Obito noticed Kakashi somehow holding his camera.
"Just recording your life for you," Kakashi smiled lightly.
For some reason, Obito sensed something ominous.
"Give me back my camera." Obito reached out for his camera.
"I'll return it once the photos are developed," Kakashi replied, quickly showing Obito a photo but not returning the camera.
Obito was stunned by the photo, showing Might Guy in a punching pose while he was flying back, with a broken tree nearby and leaves on him, vividly depicting Obito being knocked away.
What Obito couldn't stand was his face looked distorted in the photo due to the high-speed flight.
He tried to snatch the camera back by force to delete the photo, but exhausted as he was, he couldn't possibly retrieve it from Kakashi.
"Go develop the photos quickly." Kakashi handed the camera to his Shadow Clone.
The Shadow Clone sped off without a word, leaving Obito helplessly watching as it grew smaller and disappeared from view.
