"What kind of Pokemon is that? It looks so cute, is that a weapon it's holding?"
Another Trainer showed an incredulous expression: "A Pawmot from the Paldea Region? No! How can this be?"
"What do you mean?" someone asked quickly.
The person explained: "As far as I know, a normal Pawmot's fur is yellow like Pikachu's, and it doesn't have any cloak on it, nor does it use weapons. Most importantly, a normal Pawmot doesn't fly at all!"
The Trainers present weren't novices. As soon as they heard this, they immediately understood the person's meaning and looked at the Pawmot with disbelief.
"It's here! Naoki's ace Pawmot!" Nemona exclaimed.
On the field, Naoki and Lance almost simultaneously gave their commands.
"Gyarados, Twister!"
"Pawmot, Electro Ball!"
Gyarados roared, Dragon Type Energy surged wildly around its body, transforming into a terrifying Twister that swept towards Pawmot.
Pawmot's Red Cloak rustled in the wind, it quickly shifted its position, cleverly dodging the Twister, then rubbed its left hand to create a ball of flashing Light Ball, and threw it towards Gyarados.
Gyarados was so large that it couldn't avoid the rapidly flying Electro Ball.
The fourfold restraining Light Ball instantly dealt a heavy blow to Gyarados.
Lance frowned slightly, the attributes really weren't in his favor.
He had never seen that Pokemon before, from its recent performance, it seemed speed was its advantage, plus its small size, unless using wide-range moves, it was hard to hit.
After a brief thought, Lance decisively switched from offense to defense, to gather more intel on that Pokemon: "Leer! Stay alert!"
Changing tactics, huh? Naoki still chose to attack: "Spark!"
"Pa-mo!"
Pawmot's body surged with sizzling Electric Type Energy, it swung the small hammer in its hand vigorously, charging towards Gyarados.
"Hydro Pump!" Lance immediately shouted, trying to prevent the Pokemon from approaching.
With the command given, Gyarados opened its wide mouth, a powerful Water Type Energy gathered inside, then transformed into a massive beam shooting out.
Pawmot anticipated this, flickered its body, and dodged the Hydro Pump in time.
The strongly charged electricity hit Gyarados heavily.
Electric Type Energy instantly spread across Gyarados's entire body, pierced through its scales, burrowed inside it, like a thousand words were frantically gnawing in its flesh.
Gyarados's face was full of pain, and its massive body crashed to the ground with a boom.
Is it over?
The spectators were full of disbelief.
That was Lance from the Kanto Region! He was defeated by this opponent that came out of nowhere in just two rounds!
What is this guy's background? How come we've never heard of him before?
"Gyarados's type was too severely restrained." Boss Clay remarked with a tsk.
Alder nodded in agreement, eyes shining with anticipation: "This is just the appetizer, the real show is yet to come!"
On the battlefield, after waiting for about thirty seconds, Gyarados still hadn't stood up.
Nemona ran up to check on Gyarados's condition, then announced: "Gyarados is unable to battle! Victory for Pawmot in the first match!"
"Pa-mo!"
Pawmot flew back to Naoki's side, celebrating with a high five.
Lance remained calm, he returned Gyarados to the Poke Ball, then took out a second Poke Ball:
"The battle is not over! You are a worthy opponent, from now on there's no need to say anything, let's use battle to decide who's stronger!"
"Come on!" Naoki nodded, just about to let Pawmot continue to fight, when the Poke Ball containing Ogerpon on his waist suddenly shook a few times.
Immediately afterward, Ogerpon voluntarily came out of the Poke Ball, and expectantly: "Bo-nie!"
Pawmot was slightly stunned: "Pa-mo?"
Ogerpon looked at it, eyes like stars, filled with anticipation: "Bo-nie Bo-nie!"
"Pa-mo~" Pawmot understood, and then returned to Naoki's side.
Naoki was a bit surprised: "You want to battle too?"
Ogerpon nodded happily: "Bo-nie!"
It mimicked Pawmot's movements and cheerfully ran onto the battlefield.
"Wow! A Pokemon I've never seen before!" Nemona's eyes lit up.
The spectators all focused their gaze on Ogerpon.
"It's another Pokemon we've never seen before!"
"Hey! Just now, that Paldea guy, is this Pokemon also from your region?"
"No, it's not! I've never seen this Pokemon either!"
"Does this mean it's a Pokemon that humanity hasn't discovered yet?!" someone exclaimed in shock.
"Mr. Naoki, what's this Pokemon's name?" Nemona asked excitedly.
"Ogerpon, its name is Ogerpon." Naoki replied with a smile, looking at Ogerpon's back.
"Bo-nie~"
"Ogerpon, huh?" Lance also showed interest, "In that case, I'll use this Pokemon!"
As the words fell, Lance tossed out his Poke Ball.
Accompanied by a flash of white light, a Charizard with fiery bright eyes and a scorching atmosphere all over its body appeared on the battlefield.
