Chapter 1204 - Chapter 385: Entering the Evil God's Heart Chamber (3)

This shock lasted less than half a second, but for Ian, it was a heaven-sent opportunity! He seized the momentary delay and confusion caused by the monster's internal "concept pollution," completely dissolving the accumulated power ready to unleash. The monster let out a painful roar, attempting to sever the infected tentacles.

This indeed caused real harm to the monster. However, because Ian's strength was somewhat suppressed in this place, he couldn't completely plunge the opponent into silence at once, so the monster wasn't entirely removed from the world. An eerie entity formed from pure death energy and the flesh and blood of the evil god attempted to emerge.

"Evolving again?"

Ian only felt an immense headache.

Fortunately, the recent explosion also bought Ian some time.

He didn't intend to engage in a prolonged battle.

He knew he had to race against time.

Ian seized the momentary delay and confusion caused by the monster's internal "concept pollution," and rushed toward the wall leading to the cellar, which was completely covered with flesh.

The thick biological tissues throbbed like a living wall.

The original stone wall was completely invisible. The flesh was thickening at a visible rate, with countless agonized human faces surfacing on the surface, as if screaming silently.

"Get out of my way!"

Ian Prince stood before the wall completely covered in flesh, a wave of resolve surging in his heart. There was no time to hesitate, the terrifying amalgamation behind him was reforming. Every second of delay meant another fight with the abomination, so he tore open a passage with Fiery Fire.

The flesh-covered wall let out a shrill scream in the high temperature, the tissues rapidly carbonized and fell off. But terrifyingly, the burnt flesh was immediately replaced by new tissues, the healing rate nearly matching the destructive rate. The whole wall throbbed like a living creature, resisting any attempt to penetrate it.

"Still not enough!" Ian gritted his teeth, retrieving the last three bottles of magic potion from the inner pocket of his robe — these were his last reserves, originally intended for emergencies.

And now it seemed like the moment of emergency had arrived.

After drinking the three bottles of magic potion, Ian's eyes erupted with horrifying silver light. He raised his magic wand once more, and the flesh-covered wall was finally torn open to reveal a barely passable opening.

Through the opening, Ian saw an abyss of darkness behind, emitting unsettling energy fluctuations. There was no time to hesitate, Ian leapt into the hole.

"No!!!"

A furious roar from the monster echoed behind him.

He plunged downwards, surrounded by a writhing organic passage. The walls were covered with pulsing blood vessels and nerve bundles, viscous liquid continually dripping. The air reeked of heavy rust and some indescribable organic odor. Ian felt as if he were passing through a giant creature's digestive tract.

This thought made his blood run cold.

The fall seemed endless. Just as Ian began to doubt whether he had fallen into a spatial trap, a faint light appeared below.

He adjusted his posture, prepared for impact.

"Buffer Charm!"

In the last moment before hitting the ground, Ian barely managed to cast magic.

He crashed onto a soft and elastic surface.

Although he avoided severe injury, he still felt his entire bones protesting. Ian struggled to his feet, finding himself in complete darkness, with only the faint glow of his magic wand tip offering any light.

The silence around was terrifying, but within this silence, Ian could hear a certain rhythmic sound.

"Thump thump thump~"

Like the rhythm of a heartbeat.
