Chapter 1053 - Chapter 330: Time for Chicken Soup!

The feeling of exiting the Misty Illusion Realm.

It's like being forcibly pulled out from a deep dream.

Ian felt his consciousness wrapped in an invisible force, his body was so light as if it had no weight. The surrounding sounds gradually faded away, as if separated by a thick curtain of water.

He wanted to grab something, but there was nothing he could hold onto.

The scene before his eyes quickly disintegrated, the castle, the books, the starry sky all turned into speckles of light, spinning and scattering in all directions. His consciousness floated in this void.

Until a warm glow swallowed him.

Ian returned to the Human World.

This was an experience Ian frequently had, so he wasn't all that surprised. He hadn't opened his eyes yet when he heard a gentle but slightly helpless voice.

"No, Claire, the Phoenix really can't be made into soup, even if it's an immortal bird, it doesn't mean it likes this kind of treatment." Dumbledore argued gently but firmly with someone.

Then.

The voice of Female Titan Claire also sounded.

"But this is the future person." Another voice said with some self-assurance, "My Phoenix can be stewed, and every time I eat her, she still comes back to life."

"And she seems to quite like the feeling." To be honest, Female Titan Claire had a bit of a primitive feel, she actually said Phoenix Feathers are like Enoki mushrooms.

It's unknown how she knew what Enoki mushrooms taste like.

Enoki mushrooms originated in the ancient north, with a history of artificial cultivation dating back to the Tang Dynasty. According to the "Essential Techniques for the Common People" by Jia Sixie of the Northern Wei, it was during this time that the cultivation methods for Enoki mushrooms began.

Wild Enoki mushrooms are yellow.

During the Tang Dynasty, they were called Little Fire Mushrooms, Winter Mushrooms, or Frozen Mushrooms.

In 1932, Japan produced the white strain of Enoki mushrooms, and in 1982, the Fungi Research Institute in Sanming, Fujian selected the first domestic Enoki mushroom variety "Sanming No.1."

This is clearly not something a Titan living in ancient times should know, but the profession of the Prophet might have tasted it in a dream through prophetic abilities.

It is rather incomprehensible.

"My dear Titan," Dumbledore's voice was gentle yet helpless, "Fox is a companion, not food, it's not something that can be eaten when hungry."

He continued to explain to the Female Titan.

"No, eating a Phoenix is unbelievable, even more unbelievable than eating a Phoenix Egg." Ian suddenly opened his eyes, finding himself lying on a soft sofa.

He sat up, taking in the scene before him—Dumbledore was sitting on a chair by the bed, Fox curled up and trembling in his arms, feathers fluffed up, eyes warily staring at the tall, chef-clothed girl across, who at over three meters couldn't be considered small.

It was the mysterious Female Titan Claire.

The three-meter-tall Female Titan Claire held a gleaming chef's knife in one hand and a steaming pot in the other, the liquid inside filled with various seasonings.

There was Magic Potion.

And also some slices of ginger—yes, ginger, originally from tropical Southeast Asia, with the earliest domestication records dating back only around 5000 years from Ian's time.

No one knew how many billions of years ago the current era was.

Who knows why there are ginger slices here; perhaps like Enoki mushrooms, after "seeing" future things, the Female Titan created them herself.

Such thinking is also normal.

After all, Titans can create life, creating a few Enoki mushrooms or ginger slices is certainly reasonable, Ian even saw Sichuan peppercorns and chili in the pot. For a Female Titan who can both create life and glimpse the future, her quality of life is indeed remarkably high for the times.

Claire noticed Ian had awoken, her mouth curled up: "You finally woke up, teacher."

"Uh..." Ian rubbed his temples, his gaze sweeping back and forth between the two, "You two... really discussing cooking Phoenix?"

"She's discussing."

Dumbledore corrected helplessly.

"I'm just trying to stop her from turning my Fox into dinner." The old principal did look somewhat nervous, seemingly worried the other would force him to hand over Fox.

Even as a Legendary Wizard.

Facing life forms like Titans, he's still a bit powerless.

"Don't be so stingy." Claire shrugged, without a hint of coercion, "After all, if the Phoenix dies it revives, taking a bite isn't a loss."

She was just persuading Dumbledore to sacrifice Fox, then happiness for everyone—the Female Titan seemed very curious to find out if Phoenix meat in later generations is more delicious.

Ian listened, dumbfounded.

"This is outrageous... you even dare stew your own Phoenix?" He remembered the words he heard when he woke up earlier, genuinely struggling to describe this partner relationship.

"Of course." Claire nodded proudly, "My Phoenix named 'Red Feather' loves drinking her own soup, every time she's stewed she says next time she'd like some mushrooms added."

Whether this was Claire's nonsense is unknown, because if this were true, Claire's Phoenix likely has a similar irrational condition as its owner.

It does seem reasonable.

An irrational person raises an irrational pet, like Ian raising a Dementor.

"..."

Ian fell silent for a moment, only able to look at Dumbledore, "You can actually tolerate staying in the same room with her?"
