Vid suddenly lifted his head from the Pensieve, swayed slightly, and steadied himself by holding onto a stone pillar.
Abigail's memory was so lengthy that Vid took a few seconds to regain his senses, realizing he was in the Room of Requirement.
The memory in the Pensieve still emitted a faint glow, swirling and creating ripples.
Vid's face appeared somewhat pale in the dim light as he stood still, processing everything he had seen.
The room was silent, filled only with Vid's breathing, from heavy to gradually calming.
After a moment, Vid lightly waved his Magic Wand, collected the memory, and turned to leave the Room of Requirement.
When he returned to his dormitory, it was already very late, but Vid felt no urge to sleep.
He sat at the desk, reached for a Quill he had crafted himself, then opened the Friendship Book, tapping the end of the Quill with his fingertip. The deep blue pen then floated above the page, quietly waiting.
A few seconds later, the tip began to glide across the paper like flowing water—
[Vine, regarding the memory of Abigail that you sent, I've already viewed it all. Behind Scourers and Prometheus, there exists a common mastermind.
Now, I need you to inform everyone to discreetly investigate two individuals:
One is Sophelus Reck, a human wizard, male, very old.
Back in the day, he took young Abigail from a farmer named John Clark's home in Wallace County, Kansas, United States. That place might still hold some records.
The other is a female goblin named Amanda, who should be a power player among goblins, at least commanding a batch of subordinates.
Her identity differs, investigating her might not be easy, just do your best, and be on the lookout for any clues related to memories, time, or ancient magic.
Most importantly, these two guys are extremely dangerous, it's better to find nothing than to reveal that you are investigating them.
Additionally, don't approach Kosovo recently. Contact me anytime with any findings.]
After finishing, Vid paused for a few seconds, the ink was still clear.
Vine, after all, still played the role of Braun in the Witch Pure Party, occasionally attending some events, and couldn't always check the Friendship Book for messages.
Vid wasn't surprised by this, only briefly curious about why Mr. Grindelwald sent Braun to Africa.
Soon after, Vid returned from this momentary distraction, took an empty parchment from the bookshelf.
The Quill, following a short break, began to write rapidly again:
[To Professor Dumbledore:
Sorry to disturb your rest, but I just received a piece of news—
Lady Serra Abigail recently passed away due to a Curse, leaving behind a memory before her death, which eventually was sent to me as her legacy.
I believe its contents are of grave importance, and that you should know.
Also... do you have any knowledge of the last two people in that memory?
Looking forward to your response.
Vid Gray.]
After writing, the Quill leapt to one side, the ink on the paper quickly dried.
Vid packed the memory in the Crystal Bottle and the folded letter into an envelope. He tapped it with the Magic Wand, and the letter floated off the desk, passed through the window, and soared like a swift across the sky towards the window of the Headmaster's Office.
Vid stood by the window, watching the letter safely reach its destination, then returned to sit in front of the desk.
Although Professor Dumbledore clearly withheld some information from Vid... or certain thoughts... Vid, after a brief annoyance, decided to generously forgive him.
Because he himself wasn't entirely open either.
For example—
He truthfully informed Dumbledore about the activities of the Witch Pure Party in the United States, even including the role his poppet Braun played within it.
But he didn't mention what the other poppets specifically did, and many poppets still remain in the United States.
Dumbledore was aware that the Witch Pure Party secretly seized a lot of profits amidst the turmoil of the US Congress, even covertly controlled the Magic Congress, but he was unaware of how much Vid gained from it, or how those assets were handled.
The headmaster seemed completely oblivious to these matters, and since Vid didn't mention them, he never brought them up.
Recalling this, Vid felt that keeping some privacy between people was indeed a good habit.
Having sent the letter to Dumbledore, Vid did not pause, continuing to open the Friendship Book to a new page.
On top of the page was Mr. Grindelwald's flamboyant handwritten name, as clear as if it had been written yesterday.
The Quill jumped over again, naturally assuming the task of writing without its master.
[To Mr. Grindelwald:
The following is the intelligence I've gathered from a memory...
If they're seeking the "World Gap," then the private Magic School at Adan Cape in Kosovo, broken by the US Army, might be Reck and Amanda's target.
I've heard that Delaine is actively in that area with his team, and recently, he hasn't contacted me. Please be sure to remind him to be careful!
After all, what he may be facing is not what was initially assumed to be Muggle Soldiers or ordinary wizards, but potentially powerful Dark Wizards planning far ahead, with unknown means and an indefinite goblin power force.]
