Chapter 653 - Chapter 44: Bill Weasley

Vid thought to himself: Well, I can't say he guessed wrong...

Dumbledore probably did it this way, and Vid was indeed involved to prevent the forest from crashing into the arena.

It's just that Leian got the person he followed wrong.

If he had known that the person beside him at that time was actually Grindelwald, probably half the people in the tent would have let out a sharp bang, right?

As for the remaining half, they would be screaming while going to call Dumbledore...

Vid smiled slightly, neither admitting nor denying, just saying, "Although the trees were destroyed, that Dark Wizard who cast the spell was not caught—I guess he was probably in the stands at the time, disguised as a regular spectator."

Leian frowned, "Then his goal wasn't achieved, he might strike again."

"Mm-hmm." Vid took a sip of his drink and said, "The Cursed Forest is no longer possible, that kind of spell requires a lot of preparation ahead of time... but he might take other actions, so it's best not to sleep tonight, and keep your Magic Wand nearby."

"Mm-hmm, I got it, I'll tell everyone..."

Leian hadn't finished speaking when he saw Ginny, who had been chatting and laughing with everyone, already leaning against Padma, asleep. The hot chocolate in her hand almost spilled, but Kreacher caught it in time and carefully placed it on the table.

Her brothers were enthusiastically discussing various tactics in the match and issues like fouling, not noticing their little sister at all.

Padma shuffled aside a bit, allowing Ginny to lean against the sofa to sleep, then she also couldn't help but yawn.

Leian paused what he was about to say, then said, "I'll tell Theo... I see he's not drinking, maybe the few of us can take turns keeping watch?"

Vid nodded, "I'll go say hello to Bill and Charlie... if anyone's going to the bedroom to sleep, tell them not to change into pajamas."

Leian nodded as well.

Perhaps the joy of friends was too pure, they didn't publicize this matter widely—what if that Dark Wizard sees that Aurors from the Ministry of Magic are constantly patrolling, and there are more wizards around the campsite, and continues to hide?

There's no need to make everyone anxious.

In fact, the youths who planned to celebrate all night didn't have as much energy as they thought they did.

Especially the Weasley bunch, who got up before dawn to catch the Portkey in the morning, practically staying up for 24 hours, and after a bout of singing and dancing, they quieted down one by one.

No one went back to the upstairs bedroom to sleep, everyone just lay haphazardly on the sofa or the carpet and fell asleep. Kreacher brought a few blankets from the bedroom to cover them.

Vid dozed off for a while, and when he woke up, he saw Leian by the window, looking out at the campsite, so he patted his shoulder, suggesting he take a rest.

Afterward, Vid drank a cup of coffee to refresh himself, went outside the tent to sit, and unwrapped a piece of chocolate to take a bite.

Chocolate is a cheap wizard's magic booster, with two pieces down, Vid felt his energy returning significantly.

Only then did he have time to carefully think over Grindelwald's words and Dumbledore's attitude.

The cheers of the Ireland Team supporters were still faintly echoing on the edge of the campsite, but the Leprechauns carrying lanterns weren't flying around anymore.

"Mind if I sit here?"

A deep and gentle voice came from above, carrying a hint of laughter.

Vid looked up and saw Bill Weasley standing there with two cans of beer in his hand, slightly lowering his head, with the small fan on his earring gently swaying.

"Please feel free," Vid said, shifting a bit to the side.

So Bill Weasley sat down, stretched his long legs, and casually handed a can of beer to Vid, "Want some?"

"Sorry, I don't drink," Vid said.

"That's a pity, you're missing out on about a third of the world's enjoyment."

Bill Weasley retracted the beer, shrugged, and suddenly made a black can appear in his hand, asking, "How about coffee then?"

"This, I can do." Vid accepted it with a smile, then flicked the Ring Pull upward, with a light pop, the aroma of coffee permeated the night air.

Bill also opened his can, with white foam immediately overflowing, he took a big sip of beer, then said,

"Thanks for looking after them... Fred and George are two years older than you, yet they still only know how to mess around and prank. They need someone younger like you to protect everyone."

"I just happen to know a few extra things," Vid said.

"I'm not just talking about this time."

Bill said with a smile, "I heard Flow Mirror was mainly your invention, and the twins were just helping out. Not only did they learn a lot of Alchemy Knowledge from you, but they also got a share of the profits."

"Then you underestimate those two, Fred and George are very talented," Vid said, "When I first got into Alchemy, they also gave me some pointers."

Bill thought for a moment, then said, "How about we stop flattering each other for now?"

Vid burst into laughter, really liking his casual and straightforward way of speaking.

Bill continued, "Actually, I've heard your name for a long time—not from the newspaper, and not from the twins, but from my brother Ron—he mentions you in almost every letter, even if he doesn't realize it himself."

Vid paused, "Ron?"

"Yeah." Bill's lips curled into a subtle smile, saying, "And Ginny, once she started school, I heard the name 'Vid Gray' even more."

He looked back at the tent behind him, his gaze warm and clear.

"Maybe you're not that familiar with the two of them, but my brother and sister both admire you very much—although they find it hard to admit."

"Actually, I think you're amazing too," Vid said, "Twelve O.W.L.s certificates, I also took all the subjects, I know how hard it is. And I heard being a Curse Breaker is quite a dangerous job, dealing with various ancient Evil Curses, Poisonous Curses, and Curses, most people don't have the courage to touch that."

Bill laughed, "I like adventure, just like Charlie likes dragon training, and Fred and George love anything that can make people laugh."

Vid nodded, "You brothers are all outstanding."

"But Ron is a silly boy, muddling around without finding his path yet."

Bill's tone was somewhat doting, he said with a smile, "And Ginny... she's actually much naughtier than what you see, but when she meets Harry, she turns into a walking tomato."

These descriptions made Vid burst into laughter.

Bill gestured with his beer can, "Sometimes my siblings might not express themselves well, but I assure you, they're good kids, kind and enthusiastic."

The eldest Weasley paused for a moment and requested, "If you have the chance, maybe you could teach them a few magic spells? Although they probably won't compete for the final trophy in that game, being able to participate with friends should be enough."

Vid nodded with a smile, "Of course... if they need it, I certainly won't refuse."

"That's great." Bill said with a smile in his eyes.

They clinked their cans together.

In the distance, the bonfire flickered, and suddenly, a particularly piercing scream echoed from afar!
