The next day.
At the second highest point in City, within the former Elder Council, now the President's Mansion, the solemn and serious opening speech of the WRGP Tournament officially began.
Under the many cameras, this scene simultaneously appeared in all electrified places on the planet.
The first President of City, Rex Goodwin, with his typically handsome and elegant face, began to read the dueling spirit and dueling philosophy of the WRGP Tournament.
This WRGP Tournament aims to allow City, and everyone on this planet, to understand each other's thoughts, and at the same time, it serves as a dueling competition for people from different dimensions to communicate and recognize each other.
In this duel, everyone can speak freely, everyone can express their ideas.
As long as they are participating contestants, even those eliminated in the first round can apply for D-wheel authorization—and if they can pass at least one round of selection, then every contestant will receive their own D-wheel!
"Wow—"
"Oh!!"
In just these few short words, many people began to cheer.
There were even a few teams regretfully blaming themselves for not frantically filling in names on the substitute list.
It's important to know that a D-wheel is not an ordinary "motorcycle"; the "Moment" equipped on it is a genuine perpetual machine. In some remote, poor small countries, a single D-wheel could become the lifeline of the entire country's economy!
And this is even just an entry award!
Goodwin did not continue to elaborate on the prizes, but just from this beginning, everyone knew—the prize for the [Champion] would definitely be incredibly luxurious.
In the midst of these celebratory cheers.
The first match officially began!
With his words, the entire City suddenly lit up with bright rainbow light, starting from the lower levels, it emerged as four rainbow-like corridors ending at his location; these roads were reorganized under City's traffic safety management.
In an instant, the entire City was filled from top to bottom everywhere—
"Racing Duel preparation underway, other vehicles please make way immediately!"
"Racing Duel preparation underway, other vehicles please make way immediately!"
In the first round of duels, four duels will simultaneously take place, each on different tracks, with different commentators and tracking cameras on each track ensuring viewers around the world can watch the duels of the contestants they wish to see.
"In this duel, all spectators can choose their favorite duelist, participating together, experiencing the fastest duel."
What does this sentence mean?
The audience did not respond.
But it's not important—
Because the next second, the screen already lit up with the logos of hundreds of teams!
"To showcase the excitement of Racing Duel and what I've talked about, the opening duel will be a standalone match. Please pay attention to the icons on the screen, now, starting randomization!"
Ding-ding-ding, endless icons began to randomly light up, randomly go dark, and after countless rotations, one icon stopped.
Feihuang Team.
"As for their opponents... I won't keep it a secret, their opponents are none other than the pride of our City—5DS Team!"
"Wow!"
Deafening cheers erupted throughout City.
After a few days, the ordinary citizens of both upper and lower levels had basically come to know that the 5DS Team was precisely the team of their "KING," "former KING" and "Crow Crow"!
As a super "Idol Team" that appealed to both upper and lower levels, they naturally garnered much support from ordinary fans.
"Both teams, please get ready."
On the screen, Goodwin's image faded away, and what appeared next was the referee team and command team.
In the preparation room, Tenjo Hikari was conducting the final inspection of the D-wheel.
Originally, this kind of work was usually done by "Bruno," but now, because everything was different, Tenjo Hikari couldn't say if Bruno existed in this world, so he naturally took on this task.
Logically speaking, D-wheels are equivalent to "Duel Disks," who checks their weapons before a card game; they're certainly maintained daily.
But D-wheels are different, though bigger and seemingly more stable, their large size means any error could lead to malfunction.
And in a Racing Duel, if the D-wheel malfunctions, slows down, or even breaks down halfway, it's basically a loss.
Because in Racing Duel, reaching the finish line means victory.
Comparing the computer data with the inspection data, Tenjo Hikari nodded—for assurance, as the real check was done by Tierra.
Tierra's understanding of mechanics is not to say a hundredfold better than Tenjo Hikari, but at least ninety times better, not to mention having studied D-wheels for a good period, having modified Tenjo Hikari's previous D-wheel, familiar and adept.
All prepared, Yusei left the starting track, rode for a while, and came to the track, just in time to meet the riders.
The captain of Feihuang Team...
Feihuang Team is a special team, they appear full of energy, calm and composed, greeting Yusei happily when they see him.
Their contestant claimed to be Song Huang, the captain of Feihuang Team.
"Alone?" Yusei was somewhat puzzled by the question.
"Of course!"
The captain of Feihuang Team confidently replied.
