By banishing Branded Opening, the Fusion Monster on the field can be saved from destruction!
Not only that, it pointed with its Axe Staff to Tenjo Hikari's Graveyard, where the Phoenixman, having just broken free, was forcefully dragged back to its field by countless Puppet Strings.
"Arghhh!" Phoenixman roared, yet it was still pulled back.
"Sorry, Phoenixman... I'll bring you back soon."
Tenjo Hikari comforted it slightly.
"Then... it's time to use this." Tenjo Hikari looked at the Fusion Spell Card drawn this turn.
"It definitely feels like destiny." Tierra nodded in agreement, "Back then, facing the Raid Raptors and the Earthbound Gods, did you imagine today's events?"
"I'm not clairvoyant, how could I know... But I'll never forget the help from the Earthbound Gods."
"Normal Summon, Earthbound Prisoner Ground Keeper!"
Earthbound Prisoner Ground Keeper, LV 1, Dark Attribute, Fiend-Type, ATK 300.
Unlike last time, when it was shackled and chained, the Ground Keeper was completely free, rejuvenated, turning into a handsome Kobold.
"When Ground Keeper is summoned, activate the effect. Special Summon 1 LV 5 or lower [Earthbound] Monster from the Deck or Graveyard, except Ground Keeper. After this effect is activated, until the end of the turn, you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck except for Fusion-Synchro Monsters."
Before venturing close to the Synchro Dimension, hearing the voice of the Red Dragon again, even the Earthbound Gods seemed to stir with fighting spirit, sneaking into Tenjo Hikari's Deck when the "Three Knights" analyzed the situation.
"Special Summon LV 5, Stone Sweeper from the Deck!"
"Woo~~" The little whale emerged from the ground, looking extremely delighted free from its shackles.
Earthbound Prisoner Stone Sweeper, LV 5, Dark Attribute, Fiend-Type, ATK 1600.
Tenjo Hikari casually picked up a card, smiling: "With this, the end is near!"
"Spell Card, Harmonic Synchro Fusion."
"This card allows the simultaneous Synchro and Fusion of Tuner and non-Tuner Monsters on the field."
Tenjo Hikari lifted his right hand and pointed forward: "Use the LV 1 Tuner Ground Keeper and LV 5 Stone Sweeper for tuning."
At the same time, Tenjo Hikari raised his left hand, swinging it like a pointer: "Use LV 1 Ground Keeper and LV 5 Stone Sweeper for Fusion!"
"Synchro conditions require a Dark Attribute Tuner and one or more Monsters other than the Tuner."
"Fusion conditions require one Earthbound Monster and one Dark Attribute Monster."
"Synchro Summon!"
"LV 6, Earthbound Servant Geo Gremlin!"
"Fusion Summon!"
"LV 6, Earthbound Servant Geo Gremlina!"
Earthbound Servant Geo Gremlin, LV 6, Dark Attribute, Fiend-Type, ATK 2000, Synchro Monster.
Earthbound Servant Geo Gremlina, LV 6, Dark Attribute, Fiend-Type, ATK 2000, Fusion Monster.
The two Monsters broke free and flew side by side, appearing quite affectionate.
"Haha?" The Despian Quaeritis looked at the Synchro Monster and chuckled softly.
"It seems still somewhat sentient." Tenjo Hikari speculated, "But no worries, you'll soon witness my [Fusion]."
"First, the effect of Geo Gremlin. It can only be activated during one's or the opponent's Main Phase, targeting one face-up Monster on the opponent's field. The opponent chooses one of the following; you apply that effect.
One; Destroy the targeted Monster; Two, recover your Life Points equal to the targeted Monster's ATK."
"I'll choose, Mirror Stage Dragon."
The Despian Quaeritis grunted, casually discarding the comedy in hand, nullifying Tenjo Hikari's effect.
Yet, it was growing restless.
The reason was simple; the existence of this Monster prevented it from summoning Alubu Fusion Burning Dragon, and it couldn't wait to see the opponent "struggle in vain" and watch the comical struggle of several Spirits.
Unexpectedly, the opponent played this card.
Even though there was no Life Point recovery this turn, next turn, the opponent could use its effect to absorb its Life Points, leaving no room for COST burns to drive the opponent to despair.
But then, it grinned fiercely.
The reason was simple.
After all, they were simply two Monsters with an Attack Power of 2000, unable to handle the Monsters on its field.
"Geo Gremlina's effect, targeting one Dark Attribute Synchro Monster on one's field, allows a direct attack this turn."
On Tenjo Hikari's field, only one Dark Attribute Synchro Monster remained, which was Geo Gremlin!
"Geo Gremlin, direct attack."
Geo Gremlin soared from Tenjo Hikari's field, dodging the approaching giant dragon and countless Puppet Strings, charging directly towards the Despian Quaeritis and landing a strike.
Despian Quaeritis, LP: 3600→1600.
Despian Quaeritis swayed from the blow, splitting open, a faint light spilling out.
It wasn't enough.
Tenjo Hikari judged in his heart.
"Huh..."
The rising Despian Quaeritis appeared indifferent to the injuries, mocking Tenjo Hikari in a low voice.
Speaking of Extreme Fusion, yet so far, the highest damage was caused by a Synchro Monster.
"It seems mere Life Point reduction is insufficient... Sorry, don't blame me for being harsh!
Activate the effect of Earthbound Servant Geo Gremlin during the Battle Phase of oneself or the opponent. Banish Monsters from your Hand, Field, or Graveyard as Fusion Material, and Fusion Summon one [Earthbound] Monster!
I use the Synchro Monster Geo Gremlin and the Fusion Monster Geo Gremlina from the field as Fusion Material!"
"In the resonance of particles, great winged demon persisting on the eternal path—"
"Unify two different powers, and descend now!"
The entire Dueling Arena slowly started to trace a massive red geo painting, a colossal God leisurely descended from it.
"Fusion Summon!"
"LV 10!"
"Earthbound Servant Geo Grasha!"
The crimson Winged Dog Demon threw its arms up, roaring towards the sky.
Compared to its lower-level Minions, its energy level was too high, unsuitable for masquerading as Frightfur, hence it rarely ventured out, but now appearing in its true form, it was exceedingly thrilled.
"3...000..." The Despian Quaeritis held its weapon, laughed and lifted its hand, barely uttering a few words from its mouth.
"Its Attack Power is lower than your Mirror Stage Dragon's, but..."
"Battle! Geo Grasha attacks the Mirror Stage Dragon, activating its Divine Power—When this card enters the Damage Step in battle with a Monster, activate. The ATK and DEF of that Monster become 0!"
!!!
The Despian Quaeritis was taken aback, a part of its body even burst open!
Reduced to zero!
It's the same effect as it possesses!
But...
More direct!
Geo Grasha gently flapped its wings, flying to the sky on the geo painting, observing the surrounding dreadful scene, taking a deep breath, then opening its mouth, releasing a terrifying torrent...
Whoosh...
The red-black beam pierced through Tenjo Hikari's field, slicing through the Dueling Arena, cutting the Mirror Stage Dragon in half instantly, and then the Despian Quaeritis was also pierced through by this immense force.
Its body started cracking from the center, then exploded with a "bang", shattering, exploding into pieces, dispersing everywhere!
Despian Quaeritis, LP: 1600→0.
The Three Knights heaved a sigh of relief.
Though it was dangerous, the master still completed the fusion—yet to force the master to use the Earthbound's power, this Spirit was indeed very formidable.
Tenjo Hikari glanced upwards, seeing those grotesque Spirits rushing toward the "splintered" Despian Quaeritis as if sharks smelling blood.
"Flame Sword, Black Flame, Captain!"
The three Spirits immediately responded, rushing in from different directions to collect the "Despian Quaeritis".
Subsequently, with more Spirits gathering, Tierra extended her hand, summoning several Infernoids, isolating the area with Void Fire, allowing Tenjo Hikari and the Spirits to grab the items and retreat swiftly.
Splintered...
Tenjo Hikari gazed at the Despian Quaeritis shattered into various different appearances, deep in contemplation.
