Of course, what exactly the strongest "Fusion Deck" looks like is still hard to say for the time being. After all, even Tearlaments is actually a Deck that mixes in Synchro, Xyz, and all sorts of other powerful cards.
But the strongest "Fusion Card," without a doubt, is—Super Polymerization.
Even though Super Polymerization can't, like those Deck-Polymerization cards, directly fuse Monsters from the Deck; even though Super Polymerization must discard a Hand Card to activate; even though Super Polymerization can't even fuse something with Full Resistance, this [Super Polymerization] Card is still a milestone Card in the history of Yu Gi Oh.
Even before this, there were Cards like "Soul Exchange" and "Lava Golem" that used the opponent's Monsters, but at that time, those Cards didn't change the habits of Yu Gi Oh players.
After the birth of Super Polymerization, this type of Summon that could use the opponent's Monsters as materials was directly crowned with the character "Super"—like Super Synchro, Super Xyz, and so on and so forth.
