Chapter 867 - Chapter 593: The Person at Peace

Tenjo Hikari gathered all the cards together.

Although Mr. T used quite a few cards during the duel, after Mr. T "died," the majority of the cards turned into ordinary black cards.

Nevertheless, there were still a few genuine "cards" left.

For instance, the Continuous Spell Card version of Future Fusion—Tenjo Hikari thought this card was good. Even if there was an equipped version, this card was quite useful, and having an extra one surely wasn't a loss. It could certainly be traded for some fairly rare cards.

In addition, there were three Five-Headed Dragons...

Tenjo Hikari didn't know why Mr. T had so many Five-Headed Dragons. Did he just like this card so much?

It was quite puzzling.

Tenjo Hikari packed up the cards and then walked deeper into the volcano.

As Tenjo Hikari moved, the heat in the air increased, and his expression grew more serious.

Because, as he advanced, he saw, not far off, that the crater of the volcano was emitting a scorching red light.

In the academy building, Tenjo Hikari couldn't see any light here—

Clearly, this place had received special attention from Mr. T and his group.

He didn't hesitate any longer, summoning the Netherworld Dragon and flew towards the volcano's crater on its back.

Without Mr. T's obstruction, Tenjo Hikari quickly flew above the volcano and witnessed a terrifying scene.

In the crater, a scarred Winged Beast was struggling with all its might to pull two people up, preventing them from falling in.

Around the crater, a group of black-clad figures wearing cold smiles were watching the bird coldly.

Several of the black-clad figures extended their hands, shooting black energy beams. The Winged Beast teetered, almost collapsing, but managed to stay aloft through sheer willpower.

Seeing that their last attack had no effect, the black-clad figures glanced up at Tenjo Hikari, then gave a strange smile, transforming into black cards and disappearing with a few rustling sounds from this world.

On the other side, Tenjo Hikari quickly dived down, heading for the crater.

As Tenjo Hikari moved, the hot air from the blazing fire reached him. The Winged Beast-Type Spirit, perhaps fatigued from protecting the Tenjouin siblings for so long, was dazed and couldn't even recognize Tenjo Hikari, attempting to bite the Netherworld Dragon.

Fortunately, before it could act, countless Purple Puppet Strings flew out from beside Tenjo Hikari, wrapping around the spirit and the two unconscious humans it was fiercely guarding with its claws.

Tenjouin Fubuki and Tenjouin Asuka!

The puppet strings wound around them, pulling the spirit, and quickly dragged them out of the crater, flying towards the Duel Academy.

Tenjouin Fubuki seemed to still have some consciousness left. He caught a glimpse of Tenjo Hikari, and after days of persistence, finally relaxed, showing a relieved smile before completely fainting.

Time shifted back to the day when Academy Island was sealed.

Tenjouin Fubuki and Tenjouin Asuka returned to the academy, just preparing to report to the professors.

The two of them—or rather Tenjouin Fubuki forcibly dragged Tenjouin Asuka—to find an "Entertainment Duelist" to learn dueling. The duelist had exceptional skills and was proficient in magic and acrobatics, capable of performing all sorts of incredible feats while dueling, an extraordinarily talented and even somewhat absurd "Entertainment Duelist."

Of course, this wasn't the most important thing.

The importance lay in the fact that while learning and dueling there, Fubuki discovered that his sister, who always seemed unsure about her future, was able to smile wholeheartedly.

Although she still didn't know what to do in the future, being able to smile was enough to make Fubuki, as her brother, very happy.

After all, it was summer vacation, and there wasn't a need to think too much about things.

Therefore, throughout the entire summer, except when Manjome asked him to participate in the Manjome Family duels, he stayed with his sister learning from the "Entertainment Duelist" named Sakaki Yusho.

Of course, occasionally, he would continue with his previous goal of filming on site. His skills had become quite excellent, always capturing his sister and their duels in breathtaking fashion, earning repeated praise from Sakaki Yusho.

In short, the Tenjouin siblings had a very enjoyable and relaxing summer vacation.

Perhaps.

Precisely because he was always trying to make his sister relax and not feel too pressured, at that time, he wasn't vigilant enough.

By the time they arrived on the island, as soon as they reached it, they saw Judai. Driven by a "you're my brother" attitude, he casually wrapped his arm around Judai's— only to be ambushed by a spirit immediately.

Despite being saved by his own spirit, he was injured as a result.

After quickly defeating that spirit, Fubuki felt his body starting to burn up with a feverish sensation. Clearly having symptoms of a fever, he hurriedly protected his sister and started running towards the academy, though strangely, no matter how much he ran, he couldn't reach the high-rise building of the Duel Academy.

It was as if he "didn't want" to go to that place.

By the time he completely regained his senses and understood this, he had already arrived beside that familiar volcano.

Initially, because they had bread, they were able to hold on, but once there was nothing left to eat, both of them felt terrible. After that, a few black-clad figures appeared, attacking them from time to time, preventing them from stopping or finding a solution.
