Tenjo Hikari's Duel Disk automatically read the data and sent three cards to the Graveyard. Crow lifted his top three cards, glanced at them, and placed them into the Graveyard.

"There's more?" Crow looked puzzled.
"With eight or more types, both players each return up to three of their banished cards to the Graveyard!"
Crow checked and found he only had a single banished card.
Tenjo Hikari, on the other hand, carefully picked out the cards to hit the required count and placed them into the Graveyard.
"And there's a fourth stage!"
"A fourth?" Crow was completely stunned. "There's actually more beyond that?"
"That's right—fourth, when ten or more types of Fusion Material are used! Any player with Hand Cards sends all their Hand Cards to the Graveyard!"
"What!?" Crow's face lost all color.

"Destroy all Hand Cards!?"
"Hiss—good thing Tenjo Hikari didn't use this on the first turn, otherwise wouldn't Crow only have had one card to use?"
"No, no, no. If Tenjo Hikari had a Quick-Play Polymerization earlier and activated it on Crow's turn, Crow wouldn't have had any Hand Cards at all!"

If Tenjo Hikari had successfully brought out a 10-material Tierra on his very first turn and wiped out all his Hand Cards, then all of his schemes, all his careful gathering would have been nothing but a mirage; he wouldn't have been able to resist at all!
Of course, there was a price for Tenjo Hikari as well. In order to run nine different Infernoids plus Tierra, he'd cut a lot of the key components from his previous build.

To Duel Crow, who held Wiraqocha Rasca, he had to pack his Deck with cards that could withstand that level of Dueling Power.
Tenjo Hikari had no intention of using Super Polymerization in front of this many people, and even less intention of using Super Polymerization on Crow, so naturally he had to run Tierra instead.
