However——
Judging by this level of completion, Tenjo Hikari figures, it can't be finished in this dimension.
After all, there's still a huge lineup of cards "waiting in queue" ahead.
The simplest and most direct card that Tenjo Hikari wants to create is the final component of the "Fusion Form" Tierra—Infernoid Onuncu.
As a Fusion Monster, Tierra doesn't possess the immensely powerful, invincible abilities of a fully-formed entity, but it still has a terrifying effect: the moment it appears, if there are ten types of Fusion Materials, it can instantly wipe out both players' hand cards.
If aiming for a "hand destruction" strategy, a first-turn ten-material Tierra is evidently very useful.
Especially in this world, because there's an Equip Spell Card version of Future Fusion, even if it's the Continuous version of Future Fusion, either one can fuse Infernoid Tierra at incredible speed, instantly clearing both players' hand cards.
Such strength is completely different from the Tierra in Tenjo Hikari's pre-transmitted environment—even in his world, unless it was a Tearlaments-like Graveyard Deck, taking Tierra's hand card destruction in the first turn usually meant waiting for defeat.
Despite possessing such formidable power, when Tenjo Hikari dueled previously, he could only "Future Fuse" Midrash, rather than directly summoning Tierra.
It's not because Tenjo Hikari wanted to let Crow win, but because he couldn't achieve it.
He didn't have "Infernoid Onuncu."
Since monsters like Hex-Sealed Fusion in the deck can't serve as "substitute materials," because they're considered cards with no effects, only names.
Only monsters in the hand, on the field, or in the Graveyard can be regarded as substitute materials, so Tenjo Hikari currently can't just Future Fuse to summon a ten-material Tierra.
Hence, he needs to use Future Fusion in the first turn to send Hex-Sealed Fusion down.
If he could manufacture "Onuncu," the hassle would be entirely resolved, allowing him to employ his strongest "hand destruction tactic" with Future Fusion right from the first turn.
Opening with 6 hand cards, leaving the opponent with 0, who could possibly compete with that!
Unfortunately...
Monsters of Onuncu and Lilith's caliber require at least equivalent level Archfiends as base materials, moreover, even as a base, it has to be a monster of the "darkness" level like Psychic End Punisher, for ordinary monsters can't serve as final component material.
Such a stroke of luck isn't easy to come by.
One could directly replace an Earthbound Immortal with Onuncu, but doing so would waste Spirit Power, and besides, erasing the vessel of someone who hasn't done anything evil, like Chakku Chakuleo, is beyond Tenjo Hikari's reach.
Not long after, Yusei, rather heavily, arrived at the rendezvous point. Observing his demeanor, Tenjo Hikari inquired, and Yusei reflected.
Kiryu lost—obviously, as he survived and drove back.
More importantly, after losing the duel, Kiryu didn't resent himself like before, rather he realized he'd always forgotten, forgotten the initial intention, forgotten that after conquering the Lower Area, he should settle scores with his friends.
He forgot his original intention, only attacked the police for more thrilling, satisfying duels, yet by doing so, he'd become perpetually unsatisfied, for deep down, he was utterly empty.
"In the end, he disappeared..." Yusei mourned, quietly taking out a card from his pocket and showing it to Tenjo Hikari.
Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu.
After the duel, Kiryu told Yusei in his emptiness, during the previous duel, he saw Yusei modify himself for "human salvation," and felt endless emptiness, although the duel wasn't over, he knew he'd lost.
Because his heart, his ideology could no longer keep pace with Yusei's.
So, over this period, he kept communicating with the Earthbound Immortal, trying to persuade It to support Yusei—hence, the second duel wasn't really a test of strength, but a demonstration, a "performance" to earn Ccapac Apu's favor for Yusei.
This, consequently, was indeed one of the initial purposes behind the "ritual" of dueling.
"Kiryu…" Holding the card, he remained restless for a long time, although the duel had ended, although he'd journeyed through the winds for an extended period, he couldn't calm down.
"View it positively." Tenjo Hikari knows the Earthbound Immortal wouldn't just discard its Apostle, in the original work, Kiryu genuinely revived full-state, "Since there's mutual understanding now, perhaps someday, you'll reunite at some moment.
At least now, you've completed the first step: genuinely convincing an enemy, an Earthbound Immortal to believe in and support your ideology."
Tenjo Hikari turned his head, extending two fingers: "Count Chakku Chakuleo in, Yusei, you've gained the approval of at least two Earthbound Immortals."
"Chakku Chakuleo? That Sea God? Is he really that agreeable…" He was somewhat surprised.
He had originally asked Tenjo Hikari to find the "Earth-Painted Winged Dog Demon," and although it hadn't been found yet, Tenjo Hikari had previously said he was onto something, yet unexpectedly, Tenjo Hikari had presented another Earthbound Immortal.
Tenjo Hikari shrugged: "This Earthbound Immortal is exceptionally lenient."
More than lenient, basically in a "Whatever you decide, it's all fine" state.
As for the previously appearing "Wiraqocha Rasca," which essentially was that huge vulture sun and moon god, although there wasn't any communication, based on Tenjo Hikari's insights and reflections post-duel, at least this Bird God harbors no malice toward humans.
