This god had "resurrected" countless electric soldiers, who swore loyalty to him. Their only requirement: periodic charging from the god himself.
Countless electric soldiers labored tirelessly under their new god's command, building a temple. They didn't need food, only electricity—an energy only the new god could provide.
Inside the ruins, in the temporary temple, a man sat idly, picking at his ear.
He wore a white turban, bell-bottom pants, and his extremely long earlobes dangled beside him. On his back were four drums, each engraved with three magatama arranged on a semicircular ring.
This was Enel, the new god of the infinite land.
Before coming here, he had already been a god—but had been tricked by a certain Straw Hat. Now, he had achieved his wish: becoming a god ruling the infinite continent.
Yet, reality was different from his expectations. Though he was called a god, he felt more like a mere charger.
The people under his rule—the electric soldiers—submitted to him only for electricity. They were fearless, unafraid of death, and unaware of the concept of disobedience.
It was… boring.
Enel yawned, eyes half-lidded. "Another boring day…"
Outside the temple, the green robot soldier Lieutenant Spacey urged the other electric soldiers to speed up construction.
The arrival of the new god had filled them with fresh electrical energy, and they were eager to serve.
Suddenly, a massive black shadow fell over the laboring soldiers.
Led by Lieutenant Spacey, the electric soldiers stopped their work and saluted in unison toward the Moon Ark.
They recognized it immediately—it was the flying machine the New God had used to reach the moon and resurrect them.
The sight of hundreds of thousands of electric soldiers saluting simultaneously left Victor, Hancock, and Daisy stunned. None had expected such numbers on the moon.
The soldiers' appearance, smaller versions of the Sky Island people, initially made them mistake the electric beings for moon residents.
Enel's bored expression broke into a grin.
"Hahaha! Interesting… people who can actually come here! Looks like I won't be bored anymore!"
