At the same time, from the distance one could see that, beneath the aerial fortress hidden among the clouds, an enormous number of sand tornadoes formed from dust and sand rose up, wrapped in an immense mass of sediment, transforming into giant dragons that ascended into the sky and converged upon the aerial fortress.
Fortunately, at that moment there were no humans or cities beneath the position of the aerial fortress. Otherwise, Mega Tyranitar's control over such an enormous quantity of sand would have caused considerable panic.
After all, the current Mega Tyranitar possessed enough power to alter the terrain of an entire region.
Once Mega Aggron properly positioned his defensive shield, the large quantity of sand controlled by Mega Tyranitar also began to swirl around the aerial fortress, as if covering once more the exposed machinery with a new protective layer.
But while Cain and his Pokémon raised their defenses, Yveltal was not idle either. It realized that its previous two attacks had not caused serious damage to the aerial fortress, something that clearly did not match its nature, so it was now preparing a much more powerful attack.
The red "Y"-shaped symbol on its chest had already taken on a dark red tone, while an enormous amount of energy accumulated upon it.
Cain observed Yveltal with a grave expression as it continued gathering energy. As a Legendary Pokémon of such power, an attack charged for such a long time would clearly not be easy to withstand.
As a precaution, Cain also summoned the rest of his Pokémon.

With a dazzling red flash, a dark red beam of immense power shot directly toward Cain and the others.
The first thing to intercept that beam was the gigantic defensive shield condensed by Mega Tyranitar's sandstorm.
However, under the impact of the dark red beam, that sand shield of Mega Tyranitar instantly turned into gray stone, and immediately afterward disintegrated into ashes that scattered into the air.
But the beam did not stop there, instead piercing through the sand shield and continuing forward.
Yveltal's exclusive move, Oblivion Wing!
The next thing to receive the impact of the Oblivion Wing was the psychic barrier jointly created by Slowking and Gardevoir.
But, just as with Mega Tyranitar, the barrier shattered the instant it came into contact with the attack.
Even so, it at least managed to weaken part of its power.
The defenses fell one after another, but they also continuously reduced the strength of the Oblivion Wing. By the time it finally reached Mega Aggron, its power had already weakened considerably.
Because of this, for Mega Aggron, although it was still a terrifying attack, it did not completely exceed the limit of his defense. It simply could not be neutralized easily.
The dark red beam violently struck Mega Aggron's metallic shield and pushed him backward without pause. His dinosaur-like legs remained firmly planted on the ground, while metal scraped against metal, producing an unbearable screeching sound.
Fortunately, Blaziken and Lucario immediately leaped behind Mega Aggron. With all four of their hands pressing firmly against his back and all their muscles tensed, they barely managed to help him stop.
Even so, it was evident that upon the shield held by Mega Aggron, a large mass of gray stone had appeared as a result of the impact of Oblivion Wing. Only when Mega Aggron shook his body did those gray fragments crumble into ash and disappear.
But with that, it also became clear that a large portion of Mega Aggron's metal had disappeared.
Fortunately, Cain had already anticipated this. The moment Mega Aggron managed to block that attack, Cain immediately appeared beside him, took out a large handful of extremely high-quality special Pokéblocks, and fed them to him. After that, he placed a large quantity of diamonds before him.
After swallowing those Pokéblocks, the metal on the surface of Mega Aggron's body seemed to come to life. It began to ripple slowly, and a new metallic layer began to form.
Both for Mega Aggron and for Aggron himself, the metal covering his surface was something similar to the keratin layer of humans: very important, but not absolutely indispensable. It provided protection, but it was not something without which he could not exist.
However, from what could be seen now, it was clearly something extremely important, and Cain was doing everything possible to help him recover it.
But in that case, the next attack from Yveltal would not be so easy to defend.
And as soon as that thought crossed his mind, Yveltal, as if it perfectly understood what concerned Cain, showed that for it the failure of a single attack meant absolutely nothing.
If one attempt was not enough, then it would launch a second, a third.
Yveltal did not care. It had been born to attack. One or two failed attempts did not matter. As long as it could achieve its destructive objective, any method was valid.
If it had been another Legendary Pokémon, upon seeing that a deadly attack charged for such a long time had been blocked by an existence that appeared so weak, it would probably feel some degree of anger.
But such emotion did not appear in Yveltal's heart. In fact, not the slightest emotional fluctuation arose within it.
The next attack arrived exactly as expected. But this time, they could no longer intercept it completely. It was clear that, as the number of Yveltal's attacks increased, its aura was becoming stronger and stronger. Evidently, as time passed, the side effects of its long sleep were diminishing, and its power was gradually approaching its peak.
Neither Mega Tyranitar's sand shield, nor the psychic barrier of Slowking and Gardevoir, nor the defenses of the other Pokémon managed to produce much effect.
