Chapter 1635 - Chapter 1630: The Divine Descent!

When Yveltal fully spreads its wings and tail, its silhouette resembles the English letter Y.

Xerneas, on the other hand, due to the antlers on its head and its spread limbs, can be seen as resembling the letter X.

Yveltal's blue eyes lifted toward the sky of Kalos, completely devoid of emotion, displaying absolute coldness.

"Another one!"

As soon as that thought crossed its mind, Yveltal beat its wings and shot into the sky at an astonishing speed.

Its direction coincided exactly with that of Xerneas.

The two great Legendary Pokémon of the Kalos region were moving at the same time for a single reason.

...

Cain observed Magearna, whose eyes were closed, and the intense oppressive aura emanating from her body.

If he had not previously seen a true Legendary Pokémon like Moltres, and if he had not managed to make Tyranitar absorb a small fraction of its aura, Cain probably would not have understood what was happening to Magearna.

But now he knew with absolute clarity!

A descent to divinity!

Unlike Legendary Pokémon such as Moltres, whose divine positions had existed for a very long time.

If an ordinary Moltres wanted to obtain divinity, it could only, just like Tyranitar, first obtain the qualification through various means and then challenge a Legendary Pokémon that already possessed that position. If it managed to defeat it, or if it obtained its recognition, then it would have the opportunity to inherit that divinity and ascend in a single step to become a true Legendary Pokémon.

However, that method only applied to cases such as the three legendary birds, Latios, Latias, or the God of Nightmares, that is, species that did not exist as a single unique entity.

But many of the true Legendary Pokémon were absolutely unique existences.

Such as Giratina, the Underworld Dragon that represented antimatter; Dialga, which represented time; Xerneas, which represented life; or Yveltal, which represented destruction.

These Pokémon were unique within the Pokémon world, and their divine positions were also unique, impossible to transfer.

Divinity not only represented their identity, but also the responsibility they had to bear.

Then how did these Pokémon obtain their status as true Legendary Pokémon?

Many true Legendary Pokémon, endowed with extraordinary talent, received their divinity directly by the will of the world at the very moment of their birth. They were gods by nature.

But there were also others who were not born that way.

Like Magearna, the one currently standing before Cain.

Her existence was also unique. Although she had been artificially created, she was composed of multiple coincidences and chance events, so even as an artificial creation, she was irreplaceable.

Exactly like Team Rocket's Mewtwo: it was impossible to create another identical one.

So, in such cases, divinity would descend either when their strength reached a certain level, or when, by chance, a special transformation occurred.

Like what was happening to Magearna right now.

Cain knew that Magearna had the potential to become a true Legendary Pokémon. And not only her: Diancie also possessed that possibility.

At first, Cain believed that, just as Darkrai had said, they would need to reach a certain level of power before they could become true Legendary Pokémon.

But he never imagined that, thanks to Alva's special device and her complete fusion with the aerial fortress, Magearna would receive the descent of divinity at this very moment.

It could be said without exaggeration that that immense aerial fortress also formed part of Magearna's body. Perhaps it was not the most important part, but it had undoubtedly provided her with a qualitative transformation.

The perfect proof had been the attack from just moments ago!

However, the descent of that divinity was extremely slow. A mysterious energy, originating from an unknown place, was gradually condensing around Magearna, while a solemn atmosphere permeated the entire control room of the aerial fortress.

But, after all, everyone has a first time, don't they?

The first time, it was normal not to fully understand what was happening, to fumble for a long time without seeing results, and then, when it finally arrived, it happened in an instant.

Plain and without any enjoyment.

Among Cain's Pokémon, Darkrai and Diancie also had the potential to become true Legendary Pokémon, so sooner or later they would probably face similar situations.

Even Tyranitar, Salamence, Gardevoir, and some others also had a certain possibility. What happened to Magearna today could serve as a lesson for them.

BOOM!!!

Just as Cain and his Pokémon were waiting silently, and just as Alva was finally beginning to understand what the hell was happening, the entire aerial fortress suddenly trembled, and a deafening explosion sounded outside.

Magearna, whose eyes were closed, showed an expression of pain. Even her mechanical face wrinkled.

At that moment, Magearna's will was completely connected with the entire aerial fortress. So when the fortress was attacked, Magearna also felt it, also suffered that pain.

Cain's expression changed immediately. His increasingly powerful psychic abilities perceived an intense malicious presence on the other side of the fortress, a presence completely devoid of emotion and filled with an aura of destruction.

His figure disappeared in a blink and appeared beside the window. Through the clouds, he saw a great dark red bird observing them from the distance.

With its wings spread, it displayed on its chest a red symbol in the shape of a "Y." When that mark lit up, it once again launched a red beam toward the aerial fortress, striking its outermost layer.

BOOM!!!

The fortress shook violently once again. Cain covered the soles of his feet with psychic power and firmly anchored himself to the ground.

The outer wall covering the metallic machinery of the fortress, upon being struck by that beam, was completely transformed into pale gray stone. And when struck by the wind, it disintegrated into ashes.

It revealed the inner layer of silver metal.

"Yveltal!" Cain narrowed his eyes as he looked at the Pokémon that had appeared before him, and his expression turned grim.
