It was as if an abyssal darkness corroded the entire dimension, an unspeakable terror washing over all. The air reeked of decay and despair, enough to wither trees and flowers, to make all life shrink before it.
Nightmares seemed to take form and sweep forward as an unstoppable tide.
Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon roared defiantly, firing a destructive beam to counterattack. But even the Ultimate Dragon could not withstand the assault—its power severely weakened under the Wicked God's oppression, its best efforts futile as the beam was instantly swallowed by the overwhelming blackness, its body shattering in turn.

"I set a card facedown and end my turn," the Wicked God mocked.
"Heh, so much for your so-called evolution. Maybe you've improved a bit, but before a God, you're still just a slightly bigger ant."
"An ant, huh?" Kaiba was not angry, just coldly amused.
"Then you'd better remember your words and watch closely as you're crushed by the power of an 'ant.'
My turn—draw!"
Kaiba drew a card.
"I normal summon 'The King of D.' in defense mode."
A Dragon-wielding mage appeared, flamboyant in a bright red cape. In his hands was a strange guitar, blue and designed after Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, with three dragon heads as the fretboard—a nod to the Ultimate Dragon itself.

"When 'The King of D.' is summoned, by discarding a Spell or Trap from my hand, I can add one of 'The Flute of Summoning Dragon', 'Melody of Awakening Dragon', or 'Dragon Revival Rhapsody' from my deck to my hand."
Kaiba discarded a card. A card from his deck automatically popped out, and he drew it.
"I add the Spell Card 'Melody of Awakening Dragon' to my hand!"
"And the card I just discarded was 'Card of Compensation'," Kaiba continued. "When sent from hand to grave, I draw two cards." (Anime card)
He drew two more cards, then immediately slotted the new Spell into his Duel Disk.
"I activate 'Melody of Awakening Dragon'!
By discarding a card, I add up to two Dragon monsters with 3000 or more ATK and 2500 or less DEF from my deck to my hand!"
The deck searched, and two cards popped out. Kaiba revealed them: "'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' and 'Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon'—retrieved from my deck!"
These were the two Fusion materials just shuffled back into the deck by 'Ultimate Fusion' last turn.
"Now, the monster effect of 'Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon' in my hand," Kaiba declared. "By revealing 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', I can Special Summon Alternative from my hand.
Bring light to this tainted field once more—

A pillar of white light shot upward, particles swirling to form a majestic white dragon, lifting its head to face the massive Wicked God.

"It's this one again," the Wicked God muttered. "But it's useless, no matter how many times you summon it. Feel the power of fear and tremble! In the presence of The Wicked Dreadroot, Alternative White Dragon's attack is halved!"

"But its monster effect remains unchanged," Kaiba said calmly. "Once per turn, Alternative White Dragon can destroy an opponent's monster."
The Wicked God's face changed: "NANI? Such an annoying effect—what are you planning...?"
"I plan to destroy 'The Wicked Dreadroot'!" Kaiba declared.
Alternative unleashed a blast from its mouth, a beam of destruction exploding against the Wicked God's chest in blinding white light that almost banished the darkness.
But when the smoke cleared, the Wicked God still stood.
"Heh… Hahahahahah—"
The Wicked God, no longer flustered, burst out laughing.
"Fool! Did you think such an attack could harm me? I told you—I am a God! I won't be defeated by a mere dragon like yours!
Monster effects that force removal are ineffective against Gods!"
Yet Kaiba's expression was unchanged—no sign of frustration or regret. In fact, after a moment, he let out a cold chuckle.
"As it should be. For a Wicked God, if you didn't have resistance on par with the Egyptian Gods, defeating you would be meaningless."
The Wicked God frowned. "What are you talking about?"
"That attack was just a test," Kaiba said. "To see if you arrogant Wicked Gods are really worth defeating.
You said my Blue-Eyes is nothing even after all these years of evolution? Fine. Then watch closely—the power that surpasses the Gods!
I activate the Spell Card 'Polymerization'!"
Kaiba raised the card high, a fusion vortex spinning overhead. Alternative White Dragon on the field, along with two images of Blue-Eyes White Dragon from his hand, were projected onto the field.
The three white dragons were drawn into the vortex, a blinding light erupting forth. The dragon's skeletal wings unfurled, a storm of light raged, and pillars of brilliance descended from the heavens. The three dragon heads writhed, their roars piercing the sky.
"The mightiest dragon, evolved over three thousand years—appearing in its ultimate form—
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, summon!!!"

"Why?" he asked quietly.
"I told you, Blue-Eyes' evolution has surpassed even the Gods," Kaiba sneered, gesturing at his Duel Disk.
A white light blossomed from his Duel Disk, forming the spectral image of the 'Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon' above. The apparition overlapped with the Ultimate Dragon on the field, covering it in holy radiance.
"Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon?" the Wicked God said. "But it's in the graveyard—"
"That's where its effect matters," Kaiba snapped. "As long as Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is in the graveyard, my Ultimate Dragon on the field is unaffected by any of your card effects!" (Anime effect)
