The Frosty Cang Wolf roared furiously—but it couldn't even scratch the barrier!
As the beast continued to struggle, Little Green and the three Wind Riding Sky Eagles stopped their attacks, watching quietly.
Some "beasts" just didn't know when to quit.
Compared to Song Jie, they were practically merciful.
"Senior," Song Jie said calmly, "if you surrender now, I might go easy on you."
Lu Ziyou's expression twisted.
Surrender? Impossible!
"Frosty Cang Wolf, keep attacking! Break through that shield!" he shouted.
Although he didn't know where Song Jie's confidence came from, how could a Light Element mage possibly threaten a Great General-level Summoned Beast?
"Alright then," Song Jie said, raising his arm and aiming his palm at the Frosty Cang Wolf.
The wolf didn't even have time to react before a burst of golden Radiance blasted from Song Jie's hand, striking it right in the head!
Boom!
The Frosty Cang Wolf's massive body was flung backward, slamming into the ground with a heavy thud.
When the dust settled, the proud wolf lay covered in blood, its once-majestic appearance completely gone.
"Holy crap! The Frosty Cang Wolf got sent flying!"
"I saw it! He just shot out a Radiance—it hit the wolf and sent it flying!"
"Don't tell me that was just the Light Element's Radiance spell?!"
Everyone was stunned. No one could believe that a single Light Element spell could send a Great General-level Summoned Beast flying.
Huang Xingli's jaw dropped. "Ding Yiming, did I see that right? Song Jie just sent a Great General flying?"
"You didn't see wrong." Ding Yiming smiled faintly—whether from relief that Song Jie was winning or amusement at Huang Xingli's disbelief was hard to tell.
In the battle zone, Lu Ziyou stood frozen, mouth agape.
How could this be?
Wasn't he supposed to be a Light Element user? How could he attack like that?!
"Teacher, did he cheat?!" Lu Ziyou demanded.
The supervising teacher shook his head. "No. Everything was legitimate."
In the audience, a newly promoted student from Qing Campus laughed loudly. "Hahaha! You senior students don't get it—Song Jie's Light Element isn't ordinary Light Element!"
"What do you mean?"
"His Light Element has insane destructive power!"
"What?! He can even duplicate his Summoned Beasts!"
"None of the top ten students from each Element are his match!"
By now, the senior students understood—this so-called newcomer wasn't someone to mess with.
He was a monster.
Lu Ziyou's face turned pale as the reality sank in. Both his Summoned Beasts were gone. He had nothing left to fight with.
Song Jie approached him and said evenly, "Senior, are you surrendering? Or do you want me to send you down myself?"
Lu Ziyou's face drained of color. Just the three Summoned Beasts Song Jie had were enough to crush him.
"I… I surrender!" he shouted, falling to his knees in defeat.
The gap between him and this freshman was too vast!
The crowd exploded in cheers.
"Lu Ziyou actually surrendered!"
"The newcomer won!"
"Brother Jie is amazing!!"
Song Jie had earned immense respect among the new students. When they returned to the Main Campus, they would all have something to brag about.
The Summoning Element seniors who had been waiting for Song Jie's humiliation were utterly speechless.
A freshman had just defeated the top-ranked Summoner on campus!

He was now officially the top-ranked Summoner. No one would dare challenge him again.
His first place was secured.
The student who had introduced him earlier stood there slack-jawed as Song Jie walked away.
Mu Lei and Ding Yiming came over with wide grins.
Song Jie chuckled. "You're looking at me like that—what are you planning?"
"Since you got first place in the Summoning Element, shouldn't you treat us to a meal?" Mu Lei said.
"Sure," Song Jie replied with a smirk. "I'll treat—you pay."
"Do you have to be so stingy?"
"Alright then. You help me raise one of my Summoned Beasts."
"Never mind! I'll pay for the meal!" Mu Lei said quickly.
Raise Song Jie's Summoned Beasts? That was like raising someone else's child—no way!
The group soon found a barbecue stall near the campus.
"Huang Xingli, don't drink too much this time. Ding Yiming won't be able to carry you back," Mu Lei teased.
"What! My drinking manners are great, okay?" Huang Xingli huffed.
"I have a video from last time. Want to see what you said after three drinks?"
Mu Lei and Huang Xingli started bickering, while Huo Yumeng tried to calm them down.
Song Jie and Ding Yiming laughed quietly from the side. Their eyes met for a moment.
Ding Yiming blushed and quickly looked away, unable to hold his gaze.
Song Jie smiled softly, lifted his drink, and took a slow sip, savoring the peaceful evening.
