Chapter 124 - Chapter 123: Dr. Paradox’s Invitation — Is Alien X God Highly Anticipated?

"To imagine such a terrifying hell… and then make it real." Dr. Paradox drifted forward, trembling slightly.

"Is this truly the measure of a god?"

Alien X God spoke softly, his voice calm and distant, "Let hell judge his crimes."

"Aaaaargh—someone save me!!!"

Error Death God's screams echoed endlessly as hell reshaped itself around him.

The environment shifted without logic or mercy.

Error Heatblast was thrown into minus-zero temperatures, frozen and burning at the same time.

Error Diamondhead was trapped in a storm of unbearable sound, vibrations tearing through his crystalline body.

This hell changed at will—

a nightmare born entirely from imagination.

Ultimate Evolution existed to force growth.

This place existed only to torment.

Pain consumed him.

The second-generation nega-watch tore itself free from Ben Tennyson's body.

The boy collapsed, broken, and vanished into nothingness.

The error watch pleaded in a cold electronic voice.

"Ethen… take me as your weapon. Killing me is a waste."

"Dr. Paradox," Alien X God said casually, "what do you want for a late-night snack?"

"Uh… anything's fine."

Alien X God ignored the begging entirely and began chatting with Dr. Paradox about dinner.

They spoke like old friends.

Below them, the error watch dissolved completely.

Ding—mission complete!

Host gains 500 reward points.

Five hundred points secured.

Still transformed—

Alien X God calmly rebuilt the universe.

Reality rewound.

Everything returned to normal.

"Pollution's gone. Wonderful." Dr. Paradox let out a long sigh.

"Ethen… you saved me."

"No problem." Alien X God looked at him.

"Do you need anything else?"

"Yes," Dr. Paradox said seriously.

"Bring Ben back. He died in the Error Universe."

Alien X God nodded once.

"Done."

Biu~ biu~

Alien X God returned to Earth.

Green light flashed.

Ethen clenched his fist excitedly.

"Five hundred points—jackpot!"

Fighting the Extraterrestrial God Clan was pure profit.

If he could spar with the Extraterrestrial Warrior or even X War God—

Points would rain from the sky.

His eyes burned with battle hunger.

A portal opened.

Dr. Paradox stepped out.

"Rest first," he said. "Then we rebuild."

"Hey, Doc."

Ethen shrugged lazily.

"You can time-travel on your own. Just more work for you."

"But we agreed—"

Dr. Paradox froze.

"Alien X God agreed," Ethen said flatly.

"Not me."

The debt was disowned.

Alien X God—divine, detached, and merciful—might have spared the Error Watch.

If the user had been Ben,

Alien X God might never have struck at all.

"…Right." Dr. Paradox sighed.

"I can't rely on Alien X God."

He changed the topic.

"I'll send you to other universes. Meet their champions. Only Alien X God can reverse a tainted cosmos. And uncover the truth."

"What War Alien X God cannot do—Alien X God can."

"We'll talk later."

Ethen waved him off.

"I'm tired."

He turned away.

Agreeing too quickly would make him look cheap.

So he refused coldly.

"Alright…" Dr. Paradox watched Ethen's retreating figure, worry etched deep into his face.

"I'll find a way to bring Brother Ben back on my own… I only hope erasing a fused Brother Ben won't throw the Multiverse into chaos again."

The moment the word Multiverse was spoken—

Ethen's mouth twitched violently.

A black vein popped on his forehead.

Multiverse. Multiverse. Multiverse.

Damn it.

Just implode already!!

So much bullshit every single day!

Ethen returned to the hotel room, stretched lazily, and collapsed onto the bed.

Beside him—

Max lit a cigarette he hadn't touched in years, unable to calm himself.

Ben leaned against the window, staring up at the stars—

As if he might glimpse Error Death God hiding among the constellations.

In this world…

Could any monster still be that terrifying?

That outrageous?

Gwen glanced at Ethen.

"He can actually sleep after all that… Unbelievable."

She touched her face and checked her reflection on her phone.

I haven't changed, right?

Thank goodness.

That night—

Hearts wavered.

Storms brewed.

Countless people tasted death again and again.

Even without memories—

The terror had sunk into their bones.

Enough to change their lives forever.

The next morning.

Ring—ring.

Ring—ring.

The phone wouldn't stop ringing.

Ethen jolted awake and grabbed the phone from the nightstand—

It was Grandpa's phone.

Caller ID: Plumber Association

Ethen glanced at Max, still asleep.

He stood up, carried the phone into the bathroom, and answered.

"Retired Plumber Max Tennyson, hello. We can't reach the Apprentice Plumber under your supervision, Ethen. So we're contacting you."

A stern voice came through the line.

Ethen could picture a no-nonsense, middle-aged Plumber on the other end.

"This is Ethen. Grandpa Max is resting."

The line went silent.

Muffled whispers leaked through.

"…It's Ethen himself…"

"Shit—did you just call him an Apprentice Plumber?"

"He heard it!"

"Using titles on duty is standard!"

"Don't panic!"

The Plumbers sounded flustered—

Like Ethen had personally shown up for an inspection.

He chuckled helplessly.

"Just tell me what you need."

"It's fine."

The other end immediately quieted.

The legendary Plumber—

Shockingly approachable.

Completely unlike the terrifying figure of rumor.

The voice steadied itself.

"Legendary Plumber Ethen."

"This is Plumber Association Headquarters, Mount Rushmore. We have two announcements."

"First—

The fallen Plumber Phil, whom you personally captured and who escaped during Vilgax's jailbreak… He's back in custody."

"Second—

The Association has decided to establish a Lifetime Honor Award in your name. And we hope you'll come receive it."

"A lifetime achievement medal… named after me?" Even Ethen paused.

For Plumbers—

This was the highest honor imaginable.

Even Grandpa Max had never received such recognition.

"Yes. You created true peace." The Plumber's voice trembled with admiration.

Alien invasions.

Violent mutants.

Armed syndicates.

Criminal organizations.

Bellwood alone had once been chaos incarnate.

Ethen appeared six months ago.

Crime vanished.

Then he traveled nationwide.

In one month—

He wiped out most major threats.

He even defeated Vilgax.

Such achievements convinced everyone.

"So…" Ethen smiled faintly.

"Time and place."

He wasn't hungry for fame.

But if a medal made things easier—

Why not?

Half an hour later—

"What?! A medal named after you?!"

Max, Gwen, Ben—

All stared at him in disbelief.
