Bang! Bang! Bang—Bang—Bang!!!
The Fire Prisoner was like a primordial beast.
She straddled the colossal Enoki Mushroom Monster, raining down violent fire punches!
Every punch triggered a terrifying explosion.
Explosion after explosion.
The Enoki Mushroom Monster was blown apart, its massive body shattered into scorched fragments.
It rotted rapidly, losing all signs of life as it collapsed into a pile of blackened remains.
"Petrosapien-type aliens can release terrifying heat in a short time," Grandpa Max muttered with lingering fear,
"but it comes at the cost of extreme stamina consumption…"
"That Mushroom Monster fought like a suicidal berserker."
"And so did she."
[Ding, congratulations to the host for completing the mission!]
[Reward obtained: 20 reward points.]
The mission was complete.
And then—
The Fire Prisoner slowly turned around.
A twisted smile bloomed across her face.
Her arms lifted loosely, her steps unsteady, as if sleepwalking.
She staggered toward Ethen.
Ethen inhaled sharply, backing away step by step.
"You are mine… mine…"
Her voice was hoarse, her emotions completely out of control.
The temperature of her body continued to rise.
Twisted love alone was enough to drive her insane.
After only a few steps—
Bang.
The Fire Prisoner collapsed, completely exhausted, and fell unconscious.
Ethen let out a long breath of relief.
He quickly jogged over and pressed the Fate Watch pattern on her body.
Whoosh!
A pink flash erupted.
The Fire Prisoner was forcibly recalled.
"Luckily, it was raining," Gwen Tennyson said, wiping water from her forehead, her voice unsteady.
"Otherwise… we would've all been burned alive."
"I'm… sorry…"
Mandy apologized softly.
"It's fine."
Ethen steadied his breathing and looked down at the Fate Watch, his gaze complicated.
"From that fight just now… I think I understand how this watch works. I just hope my guess is right."
Everyone reorganized and returned to the old broken car.
The twins were settled inside.
Grandpa Max and Gwen stayed in the vehicle to watch over the twins and the unconscious chubby boy.
Outside the car—
Ben Tennyson pulled Ethen aside.
"Ethen," Ben said in a low voice.
"When I was hiding underground earlier, I saw those tentacles again. They came from that direction."
He pointed deep into the forest.
"Should we go check it out?"
Ethen nodded immediately.
"Bring your hoverboard. We're going together."
He dismissed the prototype tool armor and switched it into hoverboard mode.
Soon—
The two of them sped through the forest, flying low between the trees.
They arrived at a large clearing.
And there—
A massive, bottomless sinkhole had appeared out of nowhere.
Around the pit grew grotesque mushrooms, oversized spores, and towering deep-purple mycelium trees.
"It's a plant-type freak," Ethen said quietly, approaching the edge.
He leaned forward, carefully observing the depths.
A cold voice echoed directly in his mind.
"Humans… do not enter my territory again. Let's each take a step back. You don't interfere with me, and I won't bother you."
"You attacked me first," Ethen replied coldly, speaking aloud.
"Now I'm returning the favor."
Ben frowned, "What's wrong?"
"The mastermind is communicating with me telepathically," Ethen said simply.
The voice grew angrier.
"You can threaten me—but you might not be able to kill me! Don't force a mutual destruction scenario!"
"I can kill you." Ethen spoke without hesitation.
He stepped onto the hoverboard and dove straight into the sinkhole.
"Ben—guard the entrance! Don't let it escape!"
Ben Tennyson froze for a moment—
Then nodded and stayed behind.
Descending into the pit—
Ethen entered an enormous underground world.
Strange mycelium and twisted plants covered the cavern walls.
At the deepest point—
A giant spore, shaped like a beating heart, was embedded in the soil.
Countless thick tentacles connected it to the earth, greedily siphoning nutrients.
[Ding! Mission issued: Giant Spore Invading Earth.]
[Mission details: The Giant Spore is attempting to overrun Earth with fungi and plant life. Eliminate it.]
[PS: The target has a major weakness that can be exploited.]
[Mission reward: 10 reward points.]
Ethen sighed quietly.
What a waste.
He hadn't found the weakness first.
He had turned an easy mission into hard mode.
The giant spore bounced violently, opening a fanged maw.
"Since you're seeking death— I'll grant it to you!"
Crack.
The Fate Watch sensed danger and its screen popped up.
Ethen slowly raised his wrist—
Reaching to tap it.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!
Mycelium tentacles burst from the soil, wrapping tightly around Ethen.
They bound his arms, torso, and legs, preventing him from touching the screen.
"Earth idiot!" The giant spore roared.
"Do you think I'm stupid enough to let you transform?! I'll tear you apart!"
Ethen groaned as his body was squeezed painfully—
But excitement gleamed in his eyes.
Only like this—
Could he activate Protection Mode.
Whoosh—whoosh—whoosh!
The Fate Watch began flashing violently.
A terrifying, indescribable energy surged outward!
BOOM!!!
The energy exploded, shattering countless tentacles.
Ethen dropped safely to the ground.
The energy condensed—
Slamming into the cavern floor.
Distorted silhouettes formed.
Five Fate Watch aliens appeared, standing like ancient demons around Ethen.
"Anyone who dares touch Ethen—"
"I'll tear them apart."
"He's mine…"
"I want to wrestle with him…"
Their voices overlapped, filled with obsession.
Ethen slumped to the ground, squinting at the Giant Spore.
A manic smile spread across his face.
Come on.
Let's hurt each other.
