"So what is this place?" said Elizabeth.
"It's the site of Kurt's new castle," said Layla.
"You mean my new castle," she smiled.
"Of course my lady," said Kurt. "You may have it."
Layla gave Kurt a darting glare.
"Not have it," said Elizabeth, "But it would be mine, I'd take a room."
Kurt's smile soured; he hoped he had found a way to move all together, at least a little silver lining.
"If I may," said Layla, in a low tone, "we have other business with our kingdom."
"You want him to go like that?" said Elizabeth. Looking at Kurt after the fight he had some tears on his clothes and blood on him. He wasn't exactly wearing a battle outfit. "But you can go little fae."
"It's Queen."
"Okay okay, little fae…Queen."
Layla slipped away. If anything could annoy her it was having someone make her kneel and be disrespectful about it.
"So that rune you made," said Odin, "where'd you learn that?"
Kurt explains that he found an old, broken-down altar with a rune on it.
