Chapter 271 - How Horus Ruled

"Perhaps, it is important that it is explained," said Ishtar. "For the sake of our hosts."

Ethos nodded. 

"Trials," said Elizabeth, "more like tortures."

"I'm still not understanding."

"Horus could make a separate space for these trials," said Ishtar. "So you could enter a small cave and end up practically in another world."

"So what he's just trapped you," said Kurt.

"In essence yes, but you could always get out and he always told you, I think there was some sort of pact there." 

"So trials," said Kurt. "I don't see the big deal then."

Elizabeth sighed, "You don't get it."

"Give her a second," said Odin.

"The fairness of these trials and their rules were basically whatever Horus wanted them to be. I think technically it always had to be possible though. Let me give an example of one he told me about. 

"He told this god that all he had to do was walk to a city ten thousand miles that way," Ishtar pointed out. "And even at that what are most people going to do?"
